  1. Chelsea are turning into the biggest joke since Burnleh fc were formed and thats saying something!......the whole club and setup are completely false.

People have a go at Rovers so-called 'Plastic support'(blah, blah, blah) but their neuvo 'fans' are no better as I can remember attendances of around 20K for some games in the early to mid 90's at the Bridge.

Comparisons to Jack Walker? dont even go there...Abramovich is on a massive ego trip, nothing more nothing less,he cares not a dot for chelsea's past traditions nor for the feeling or opinion of its support....a dangerous type to have at the helm of any club in my opinion.

  2. At the end of the day that is the crux of it, it's customers that will keep this club in the Premiership, not people sitting at home bitching about the lack of entertainment down at Ewood.

Very well put Manc Blue, couldn't agree more.If 'entertainment value' was the main reason for renewing of season tickets then admittedly we'd probably be down to about 1,000 season ticket holders after last seasons poor fare but gladly we have better fans than that who no doubt remember the bad days of the 70's and 80's..... WE'VE STILL NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD FOLKS!

  3. ''It might not be as much as a fan pays for their season ticket at another club, but so what? In my opinion £1,000 is a lot to pay for 2 season tickets and I could do a lot of things with it.''

To reiterate again 92er if cost is the main issue for you, you and your mrs could sit in the Riverside for roughly £500 and still be able to 'do a lot of things' with the other saved £500....with all the financial initiatives Rovers have done for the coming season I personally refuse to believe that cost is a viable excuse for non-renewal.

    WHERE'S THE LOYALTY?

  4. ''I think that the renewal deadline was too early ''

Totally agree, why clubs do this to their supporters i'll never know, it certainly cant help with sales when people are asked to find the coin in such a short space of time....some clubs have their season tickets on sale a month before the season finishes!

  5. ''With the announcement of Ferguson as the captain, players like himself, Thommo, Jay and possibly new signings the amount of season ticket holders will increase.''

Where does your evidence for this increase come from Roversismylife?.....Rovers have seen a steady season by season decline in season ticket numbers while almost all other Premiership clubs have reported increased sales, very depressing but fact. sad.gif

  6. Its all pure speculation, if the figure is accurate 10,000 is awful. Two seasons ago we had the best part of 15000. Burnley have 9000 FFS.

We only reached 15k after the half season ticket sales mid season...10k at this early stage would probably equate to average sales I would have thought.

  7. no official or unofficial news.

Don't expect any news unless we break all records, its not exactly newsworthy otherwise

    Pardon?

It's certainly headline news if sales have slumped.

Or is it a case that the club only likes to report "good" news.

Agree with Jim,slightly surprised by your reply Lee to be honest, how many season tickets we have sold IS newsworthy and should concern everybody connected to B.R.F.C.... whether board member or Blackburn Ender!

  8. Just shows lack of ambition. Come on Fred Walker lets have some money from the fund. If you can't afford to improve the team I can't afford the season ticket. Simple as that.

An unbelievably selfish attitude that is. But it probably reflects the feelings of a lot of our supporters - oh I will bugger off now that the Walker money has dried up.

It is time for fans to repay Jack Walker at the time when the club needs our support more than ever.

Well said mjs...so strange how everybody and his dog wanted a piece of the pie when matters were rosey back in '95.

Impending matters at Ewood this coming season will soon sort the wheat from the chaff both on and off the field of play I feel (interpret how you wish).

NOT good timing like Rev states.
