The Darwen End looked far better with our half being well populated and gave the appearance of a larger crowd than there actually was.
I wouldn't mind the club selling these seats for a fiver, on a first come first served basis.

George Best
I thought so anyway, at the time

Kick 'em while they're down, the saying goes. I think we can twist the knife and steal the points from this one. I'm hoping we can keep another clean sheet and nick a goal.
Rovers 1 - 0

Just a comment following watching Sky's Match Choice last night....
When Kuqi scored his second goal, the camera soon panned over to Hughes as he double high-fived with Bowen and in the background at the throat of the tunnel was Craig Bellamy with both hands in his pockets and not any expression of joy on his face at the certain killing off of the game and a well earned 3 points for the Rovers.
We know he's a class player but have we bought a player who doesn't give two hoots about the team unless he's central to the game??? I was dissapointed to see his lack of enthusiasm to this victory. I'll cut him some slack this time as he may have just been ticked off with his injury but surely a little applause for the victory wasn't too much to ask for!!!
You can't read anything in that, Dickov didn't seem to thrilled when the second went in either. It's a case of ' it should've been me '

Good account of a perfect day

I'm still celebrating yesterday's win and the pessimists on here ( are you lot really Rovers Fans ) are predicting a WBA win.
Rovers will let us down seem to be the mutterings, they always do. That was last week and that's the only let down this season. Sure they'll lose some games but for crying out loud, let's have some positive vibes
-
Exactly SG. It feels just as good shoving it up the whingers on here as it does the mancs.
The finger that is

So Lee, the Darwen End has got smaller?
We all know the capacity of the area's almost filled by the 'udders.
You're not addressing the taxman in here y'know
-
The fact is, the game at th JJB is over the holiday period, thus the expectancy would be for a big crowd to attend anyway, why would the clubs want to lose money by dropping ticket prices.

Could they not introduce a cartoon anyway
At least some people could understand what was going on
It was well worth a tenner too.

For the fans that have said they're not going, fine , that's up to you.
Do the club a favour and don't post the fact on here, boasting about it like some anti-hero.
Apathy spreads, you're only putting negative thoughts into other supporters minds,
who themselves come up with cock and bull excuses not to go. I could come up with a dozen.

The subject of falling gates in the Prem actually made News at Ten tonight, finally the message is getting through. The main cause is seen as Rip Off ticket prices.
I wonder if we'll get a refund on our season tickets if they put the match day prices down
Before I get my ear chewed off, the refund comment is tongue in cheek

Then my post was worth the time and effort.

If they don't go to the game, they're not supporting the club - simple.
-
If every player gives 100% and there's no silly mistakes then I'll be happy.
Hopefully that should get us at least a point.

It's times like these and games like these when a true supporter steps forward, he turns up and supports the team when times aren't great, when the glory hunters are falling by the wayside.
'It's the cost' I hear some cry, bullocks, there's not many people that can afford to be on the internet can't find a tenner.
'Poor quality football' is another. We might not be playing great at the moment, but against a team two divisions below us we will play open and expansive football, it will probably be one of the most entertaining games of the season.
I've been through far worse times than now, in the 2nd and 3rd divisions and never turned my back on the club once. Supported far worse players than we have now. To be honest, they could send out the odd job man and tea lady to play, if they wore the shirt, I'd cheer them on.
I've no doubt the hangers on will be welcomed back with open arms by the club when the good times return ( can't believe I have to write this, things aren't that bad ). Just don't call yourself Loyal or True.

Doesn't matter what tactics he play's, too many of our team can't control a football, pass to a team mate, let alone run with the damn thing.

Doesn't make it any easier to stomach thogh

How many kids football teams are there in the county?
These should be targeted with cut price group deals just as the schools are
