  1. Got my four tickets before today's game.

Let's get behind the team and right a few wrong's.

4-5-1 is fine, when the opposition have the ball.

What should happen is, when we get the ball, the wide mids should support the front man and it becomes 4-3-3. Let's get it right and put them to the sword.

We can't lose this one, I'm meeting some mate's from the old cowshed before the match.

  2. We have a hopeless recent record there because we've been cheated on numerous occasions. Refs give you sweet FA yet take great pleasure in awarding them free kicks in and around the area.

Was it Sherwood that had a great winning header disallowed because it wasn't in the script?

£32 to watch a game your not allowed to win, they can shove it.

  3. To play devils advocate here, some clubs are trying to do something about it. By creating catergory games usually 3 tiers, then are charging the most to away fans who in turn usually charge the most themselves.

For example, at west brom, catergory a+ will be the £35 for away fans (arse, liv, chels, manure) who are themselves usually the most expensive. However, when we go there, as a catergory b game, it will be £25 for a away ticket.

Lots of clubs are now doing this and at least it punishes the big clubs for keeping their prices high!  tinykit.gif

No, it's all about supply and demand. Home clubs know when they play one of the bigger clubs demand for tickets will be high. Therefore they can afford to hike the prices knowing full well they will probably still sell the away allocation.

First ever game in the top division and against the champions, why the hell didn't they sell out?

I remember their first game in the football league, a gate just short of 10K. However after the novelty wore off gates were back down to a couple of thou.

  5. Can't believe some people are on Kuqi's case already, saying he tries hard but isn't good enough. Perhaps they'd rather see the likes of Yorke back, he was good enough, he just couldn't give a ****. mad.gif

Hearing Pedersons remark on the radio after the match about Neil, ' it was like watching Cafu', got me thinking. We could put this into Barnsley old song ' it's just like watching Brazil', ie 'It's just like watching Cafu' - for Neils forward runs. biggrin.gif

OK - which goal was the best?

My vote goes to Pederson's, he took it on the run. thumbs-up.gif

  6. If this isn't true why don't I feel excited about the first home match?

Why is football something I do as part of the routine?

Why has football stopped dominating the week-ends plans?

Why do I go to bed rather than watch MOTD?

Why don't I bother to watch Rovers on Sky anymore?

Why was the only reason I renewed my STs because the kids wanted to go?

Why do I feel utterly disconnected from every player who wears blue and white?

    It's called 'getting old'.

By the way, is Paul your real name or is it Victor (Meldew) biggrin.gif
