Speak for yourself. Personnaly when Rovers lose, lifes a bitch until the next win. England Internationals are just a fill in when Rovers arent playing.
-
No, its not just you. As Shearer said on BBC this afternoon I suspect Ronaldo will get a difficult time when he turns up for training at Old Traffford.

va va vooom 1-0 to france
-
Heck Cybermen and Darleks
-
OHHHHHH, they've kicked off 30min 0-0

OOOOPS, I never mentioned Crouch in my post, ....so ok we had Crouch, two injured strikers and an untried teenager in the squad. Brilliant squad selection.
-
I'll second that... Just think if he hadnt done the dirty on Uncle Jack, Rovers would have paid him a fortune for negative football.
-
Yes, out of the pan and into the fire
-
Agreed, look at the squad selection before they set off for Germany, especially the striker options, 2 injured players and an untried teenager., and there is only one person to blame.

Well I cant understand the latest subs, Lennon off ????? Unless its that Lennon cant take penalties.
-
No problem with the sending off, however I'm not impressed with players who demand the ref to give a card, esspecially when its one of your domestic league team mates.
-
Well Ronaldo, hope Rooney doesnt watch your reaction just before or after the sending off. Training could be fun at Old Trafford.

Plenty to talk about, with thanks to Modi. The story so far.... Gudjohnsen - strong link became nothing as he signed for Barcelona Mido - the saga continues with either a loan or a permenant signing being mentioned. Even talk as to the Egyptian who plays in Italy going to Holland to obtain a work permit to play in England McCarthy - The South African story won't go away. Latest is that his get out clause come sin in January, but Rovers might swoop for him earlier. Zigic - early speculation as to the giant seems to have died away Heskey - resurfacing every few days, Hughes is supposed to be after the former England striker Roberts - gathering momentum as Wigan are said to have offered him as a part exchange for Robbie Savage. Rovers not interested in that deal as Roberts would be better as a cash only purchase in Hughes' eyes. Pongolle - Last season's loanee is said to favour a move to Rovers permenantly, and Hughes is reportedly keen to sign him. Petrov - Rovers lack an attacjing midfielder and Petrov is alledgedly wanting to leave Celtic. Several English clubs strongly linked. Ferrari - Alledgedly on a shortlist that has alledgedly been confirmed by John Williams, alledgedly Materazzi - see Ferrari Radoi - Said to have the same agent as Hughes, but story appears to come from Portsmouth who are keen to sign him Brown - Not Wes, but Jason - the young ex-Gillingham keeper signs for Rovers! Jeffers - Hughes was meant to have been interested in ex-England U21 star Francis Jeffers previously, and the story is hotting up as he's available on a free. Could be set for talks w/c 3rd July. Baros - Villa are desperate for funds and the former Liverpool man hasn't had the happiest of time sat the club. Pricetag and wage demands are seen as possible hurdles here. Keep up to date.....click HERE

Rovers have won the race to sign Gillingham's promising young keeper Jason Brown, who won his first international cap for Wales last month against Trinidad and Tobago. The 24 year old who made 137 appearances for Gillingham, has joined Rovers on a free and signed a 4 year contract.

Heck Colin, why not make it a caged match, last man standing wins.

After being linked to a number of clubs, including Spurs, in recent weeks by the media, Republic of Ireland midfielder Steven Reid today committed his future to Rovers for a further four years when he signed a new contract, which keeps him at the club until 2010.

Former Blackburn Rovers and Northern Ireland star Eddie Crossan, who made over 300 appearances for the club, sadly passed away on Tuesday 13th June, 2006 at the age of 80. Eddie made his debut for Blackburn on 31 January 1948 in the 4-3 victory over Sunderland at Ewood Park. His first goal for the club came the following week and the wee man went on to score 98 goals for the club An inside forward, with mercurial talents, Eddie produced his highest goal tally of 18 in the 1954-55 season, which included his first Rovers hat-trick in the 4-1 victory over Rotherham at Ewood Park in October. He also scored the opener in the 8-3 home win against Bristol Rovers in February that season, when Tommy Briggs netted the other seven, and hit a brace in Rovers biggest ever Ewood victory (9-0) against Middlesbrough on 6 November 1954. Pedersen must be getting a new squad number. As I've been given the number 12. -
It's the silly season again, as far as the back pages go. Although the World Cup is on, with the lack of activety on the domestic front, journalists are having difficulty filling their quota of column space on the back pages day in day out. After the success of last season, it is inevitable that the media will speculate and link Rovers players with moves away from the club, especially Bellamy whose goals were instrumental in Rovers finishing 6th in the league and european qualification. What I would say to all Rovers supporters is, that they shouldn't panic when they see articles relating to Rovers transfers. Mark Hughes is an ambitious manager and I don't suspect he would have signed a new contract last month if he wasn't certain that he'd getting the backing of the board in retaining existing players or receiving the finances to strengthen the squad. That was evident when Morten Gamst Pedersen signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2010 and young striker Matt Derbyshire signing a new 2 year contract earlier this week. Hopefully with more England activety in the World Cup, the media will have plenty of other news to fill the back pages, although I suspect good performances by Lucas Neill and Bret Emerton for the Aussies will fuel further transfer gossip linking them with moves away from "The Small Town in Europe" The time to worry, is when there is no media coverage of the club, as it would indicate that there is no quality players at the club and that the club were not successfull or ambitious.

Rovers midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen, has signed a four year extension to his contract, that will tie him to the club until the summer of 2010.

Twenty year old, striker, Matt Derbyshire pledged his future to his home town club, Blackburn Rovers today when he signed an extention to his contract. Derbyshire who spent the second half of last season on loan at Wrexham, where he scored 10 goals, has signed a 2 year contract that keeps him at Ewood until June 2008.
