  1. However we've improved tremendously between the sticks so it'll probably roughly even out. I also think Hyam's best ability was availability (50 consecutive starts is a heck of an effort). He was a mid-table CB - too soft and quiet for mine.
  2. I think that was down to the manager more than anything.
  3. I take it there's some age rules attached to this fixture? Would have been a good game to get De Neve and Gueye minutes - assume you literally have to be U21?
  4. Think they'll be taking Tyjon off shortly, he looks injured.
  5. He's not a 9. Or at least not without a big strong partner to look after him and win the long balls for him.
  6. He easily ran in behind getting on the end of a long ball before. Didn't know what to do with the ball though and tamely passed it back to the GK.
  7. Two good goals by us. Tyjon is playing upfront. Dunn's son is playing, so are Batty, Powell, those two CBs (Litherland and Aitchenson?) and Wood.
  8. Looks like a lot of poorly thought out loans this year.
  9. The ex-Head of Premier League Referees said it wasn't a penalty and so did my eyes. To quote the great Brian Blessed in Flash Gordon: "Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive".
  10. Cantwell loves to miss a game with a cold or a niggle. Henriksson will play a lot this season. I think he's a goal scoring #10. Whilst Cantwell likes to drift out wide and create, Henriksson will be looking to get on the end of balls.
  11. Yes, Gestede comes across as a massive knobhead.
  12. WBA scored 1 goal, which only happened because there was a foul in the lead up (their player dragged Alebiosu to the ground in the box). We also didn't get a stonewall penalty on Ohashi. There was nothing in that game We were winning against Birmingham until the referee incorrectly gave a penalty against us. So yes, we should have more points - but we don't because that's football. We should have had a penalty yesterday, but those decisions aren't going our way this season and it's definitely costing us points.
  13. He was always going to thrive in a less competitive league. He was treated like a little boy in the Championship. More time on the ball and more space, his natural skill has been allowed to show.
  14. Use him like Utd used to used Solskjaer.
  15. Morishita looks a tidy, skillful, composed player. Plays with his head up. He's slower than many of us thought he'd be though - maybe a step quicker than Dolan? Gudjohnsen was the real eye opener I thought - looked excellent when he came on.
  16. I think there's an absolute Rolls Royce of a player in there, I just doubt it'll ever be unlocked.
  17. Tronstad for mine, by some distance. Wharton was good - although he should have scored.
  18. He's going to struggle to find a more energetic partner than Tronstad. Sondre absolutely put us on top in that game - he dominated the centre of the pitch.
  19. I like the look of Miller too - think he'll be our starting CB before long.
  20. He has that in him every game - he got absolutely done by a touch before that pass too. Loved his brother, but I think Scott is a liability.
  21. Say it very quietly, but Gudjohnsen looks the part.
  22. Where the hell has he got 6 minutes from?!
  23. Oh bollocks, we can't afford to lose him.
  24. Unless he's protecting Tronstad (we genuinely ran him into the ground last season) it's a strange one.
  25. Already holding the ball up better than Ohashi. Makes a world of difference when your #9 poses a threat.
