Gentlemen’s agreement for a point , they can run out their ressies, cmon Leicester , we have a decent relationship I think….
We're members of an exclusive club. PL winners need to look out for each other.

Could have had Batth on a free in the summer - instead we penny pinch based on his age and end up bringing in McFadz in January who is, what, four years older? And probably on a similar wage. Our recruitment team just cannot handle being on a limited budget. Granted I'm not sure they can handle being on a decent budget either, but we likely won't see that again under Venky's anyway.
Isn't it pretty clear by now that our recruitment team (incl. Broughton) have next to no authority to make transfers?
They wanted Batth, but it was vetoed, yet Fleck and McFadzean were rushed through in January.

JRC appears to have lost his while injured as well. One-touches 'passes' randomly and has been really poor the past two matches. Would prefer Ayari starting over him atm.
Never thought I'd be crying out for Hedges but we're so slow and predictable it hurts to watch. This squad needs some heavy investment.I think JRC is trying too hard to be the creative force at the moment, hence the first-time passes that aren't on. As much as I think Tronstad is a great Championship player, he's not a creative one and in a midfield two that puts pressure on his partner to make things happen.
I've always thought Hedges is a good option to have on the bench, but you're in trouble if he's your nailed on starter as his end product just isn't there.

dolan is saveable, just stick him out wide and give him one job, attack the full back and try to get a cross over
gally is a basket case, get rid of him
You extend Dolan's contract because a) it'll be very cheap (his own fault for holding out) and b) we need warm bodies.
Gallagher should be shown the door though. Sadly they won't let us spend his wages on other players - they showed that when Ayala, Dack and BBD left and weren't replaced.

And sadly neither has a footballing brain.

Hutchinson on loan at Ipswich from Chelsea. Quality loan players are out there, yet GB gets Moran etc
Good loans cost money. We don't have any.

can`t understand why this playing out from the back ***** still goes on,how many goals have been conceded by teams carrying on doing it,recipe for disaster imo, most sides ar`nt good enough to do it
Much like how I can never understand showing a player onto his stronger foot yet it's rife in football - inverted wingers should be so easy to defend.
We simply don't have anyone that can score that Hutchinson goal, btw.

Ipswich have kicked lumps out of Carvalho.

Not entirely sure why #40 hasn't been sent off there.

Gally shit again and not replaced
Which tells you that he simply must be awful in training.

Ipswich have definitely sold their soul to the devil for this season. They're so lucky.
Shit ball into the box, Morton air-shots the clearance and it falls to Hirst 6 yards out to put it into the back of the net. Painful to watch.

Yep. Extrapolated to a full season it's 49 points, a probable relegation as opposed to 43 points, a definite relegation.
That's about where the squad is, sans Kaminski and A. Wharton.

It was a good time for cowardice. That point makes it extremely unlikely Rovers will be relegated. Relegation means £5 million doesn’t arrive from the Premier League and much less television revenue. With the awful attendance numbers, all the more expensive players get sold. That point was probably worth almost £10 million.
The attendance numbers are awful for a reason.

I don’t get the theory that Leicester won’t try against us if they have been crowned champions before facing us. Last game of the season in front of their home fans, of course they’ll want to go out with a bang.
Oh they'll absolutely do us.
A bunch of talented show ponies with zero pressure and a party atmosphere?
We're going to get battered.

Did Tomasson authorise those signings? And it sounded like a case where he was just desperate for anyone in the end. He said he had said yes to a lot of players in one interview when nothing was happening.
The business we have done this season due to the uncompetitive budget slashing by the owners has been dismal. None of the 6 in January have improved us.
This is not true.
Chrisene is a better WB than Pickering. Ayari should, quite frankly, be starting most games in CM and McFadzean has won multiple MOTM awards in 6 months.
The problem is we didn't bring in any pace or a CF. Again.

Whatever happens, anyone who took any part in assembling this squad should be thoroughly ashamed.
The blame lies squarely at the feet of the owners.
This squad cost a tuppence and a button to assemble - and the tuppence was spent 4+ years ago on Gallagher.

What on earth have you seen that makes you think he's a fine manager? He's been dire with us and has been dining off of a short burst of results at Brum in the gap between clubs.
Arguably, Wharton aside, he has a better squad than JDT had because a lot of the injured players came back when he took over, and yet still he can barely scrape points.
I think he's your standard Championship manager. The previous guy was much better, but he was far too ambitious for this lot.
A. Wharton aside is a massive caveat considering he was the best player on the pitch most weeks - and evidently continues to be so in the Premier League too.

If we stay up its job well done! Goal from the CEO was stay up and play the youth. The youth is playing for palace and we stay up by the skin of our teeth. Go down and it’s oh so close to the goal, secured 50 points should be safe…we’ll bounce right back. Sad state really
If we stay up it's job well done, but by god if we don't reinvest the A. Wharton / Raya money in the summer we're going down next season for sure.

But that would have meant us going down swinging at least. Please don’t assume when I’d have been crying.
It makes an ass out of you and me xGoing down swinging is how we got into this predicament in the first place.
If JDT had been more pragmatic around Christmas, rather than stubbornly playing suicidal football (sending both his FBs bombing on and getting caught on the break time after time) we wouldn't be discussing Birmingham / Plymouth / Sheffield Wednesday now.

Eustace with a 13.33% win record after 16 games in charge. Previous manager left us with 44.44% over 90 games. If we know anything about this club, it’s that they’ll remove even more resources next season and that win record likely gets even worse (whether we’re up or down).
I don’t believe he’s the manager to do the necessary and he’s got himself sent off in the penultimate game of a relegation dogfight. He could feasibly not manage another game for us from the touchline, if he’s chopped after relegation.
He’s been a bad appointment by an inept CEO, as a result of totally reckless administration by the board/executive team. He needs to go.
I disagree.
Eustace is a fine manager - the problem is everyone is comparing him to an excellent manager that literally paid to leave the club. Said excellent manager also had a better squad.
There's also no way he's fired if we get relegated - they don't pay off contracts and he has a 2.5 year one.

They’re down to ten men, keep 5 at the back, sound.
What a shithead Eustace is.You'd be crying if we went to 4 at the back and they scored the winner on the break too.
We simply have no pace - you don't change formation there when you're in control.

If we don't drop this season, then I think we're certain too next. On the assumption that Sammie gets sold, which seems about right
If they don't invest for 4 consecutive transfer windows, then yes, we're doomed.

Also, needing to score against 10 men and we're still playing 5 at the back? The manager is an utter clown.
Disagree there. We absolutely couldn't afford to lose that game and we were in complete control of it with the current formation.
Change players, not formation, in that situation.

JRC said it himself - he was the overload option in CM when he started at RB. It gave him loads of room because LM/LW rarely had the discipline to follow him when he drifted inside.
Obviously the downside of that is when we lost the ball we were wide open down the flanks.
