  1. Good shot stopper, but terrible on crosses (and commanding his box in general) and he's always got a mistake in him. We can do better - he's an Academy player, which is great, but I think that's clouding judgement a little.
  2. I don't think it's a lack of ambition and drive, it's a lack of talent. We saw it with our Academy for years, it's incredibly difficult to produce Premier League quality youngsters. The standard is just so high. If these players were remotely good enough, their host clubs would play them in their first teams - they'd save an absolute bundle in transfer fees!
  3. Jim, this isn't 2006. We're shit and have been for about 8 years. A very average, past his best, ex-England international would probably be our best player these days.
  4. There's only one winger in that list. The other two are much more effective when played centrally.
  5. I have to mute Murphy whenever he's on the tv. Perhaps my most hated ex-Rover. Just an absolute joke of a professional.
  6. Come off it, Conway isn't fit to lace Downing's boots.
  7. I've no doubt we're still seen as a soft touch by agents. I bet he went to Preston for less than he was asking us to pay him.
  8. There's only one Matt Jansen. By far my favourite Rovers player - and we've been lucky to witness a few great ones in the last 25 years.
  9. That just highlights the poor team we are.
  10. He's going to get more time and space in a technically, athletically and tactically superior league? I don't think so. Much like Grealish - if he was all that he'd have bossed the Championship. It only gets more difficult the higher you go in the pyramid.
  11. Neither one starts for their club side for a reason.
  12. It's the problem with Rugby League - consistency. Rather than keep it simple - onside / offside / crossed the line etc - they're opening it up to interpretation. No two video referees will be the same - so I'm sure most wouldn't have chalked off that goal.
  13. I always wonder what happened to Hughes. He had all the makings of a superstar manager with his work at Wales and then with us. He's turned into a journeyman manager who outstays his welcome after a couple of years. He seemed to lose his magic touch in the transfer market after he left us.
  14. Sadly, yes. Spurs had three shots of note - all three were routine saves for a Sunday League keeper. The Champions League final was the wrong game to wax lyrical about him.
  15. Did Alisson even touch the ball on Saturday?
  16. Criminal to start Kane. Disgusting penalty (although that is the rule these days - which is a joke). That's the worst I've seen Liverpool play all season. Fortunately they were playing against 9 men so they got away with it. Spurs will be kicking themselves tonight - absolutely there for the taking.
  17. Unless he's on a pay-as-you-play deal, Carroll would be a horrendous signing. He's the most crocked player in history.
  18. That's good though, surely. Means we've got wages relatively under control.
  19. The Championship is a poor league. If he's the saviour of football that he's proclaimed to be he'd do more with the bags of time he has on the ball. He'll disappear in the Prem.
  20. I think Rothwell is a better player than Reed - but yes it'd be great to bring in a few quality loanees too if we really want to push on. I don't envisage us spending much this year, unless we sell Dack / Raya / Lenihan.
  21. How have Murphy, Andrews (currently on air talking shite), Sutton and Savage all got media gigs?
  22. We're in desperate need of a good keeper and a commanding CB to play alongside Lenihan (unless Sheff Utd come in with a silly offer). Do that, and play Travis and Rothwell every game they're physically able to, and we'll be much better than last year.
  23. Because we didn't play Rothwell and Travis for half the season and persisted with Mulgrew at CB.
  24. I don't think he's done much wrong today.
  25. Their midfield is being overrun. Lampard probably shouldn't have taken them out on the lash after they beat Leeds.
