Good shot stopper, but terrible on crosses (and commanding his box in general) and he's always got a mistake in him. We can do better - he's an Academy player, which is great, but I think that's clouding judgement a little.

I don't think it's a lack of ambition and drive, it's a lack of talent. We saw it with our Academy for years, it's incredibly difficult to produce Premier League quality youngsters. The standard is just so high. If these players were remotely good enough, their host clubs would play them in their first teams - they'd save an absolute bundle in transfer fees!

We're in desperate need of a good keeper and a commanding CB to play alongside Lenihan (unless Sheff Utd come in with a silly offer). Do that, and play Travis and Rothwell every game they're physically able to, and we'll be much better than last year.

Because we didn't play Rothwell and Travis for half the season and persisted with Mulgrew at CB.
