  1. I like it...but I hate the radar. On Far Cry 2 there is no radar therefore its alot easier to hide & sniper people.

Another thing I hate is when people can get control of bombers or helicopters, that just spolis it!

You can't snipe anyway as the kill cam gives away your position (unless you keep the scope held down for a few seconds after the kill - even then experienced players can work out where you are). Silencers mean when you fire your gun you don't come up on the radar - sadly they completely nerf the sniper rifle, so it's pointless to equip them on that gun (takes two shots to kill, which defeats the object!)

Air support (UAVs, Predator Missile, Pavelow, Chopper Gunner, Harrier, AC130) is a nightmare until you get cold blooded - having said that I use an M4 with stopping power equipped most times. I've just learnt to run into buildings when someone gets a kill streak reward going.

  2. MAG?

    ME2?

    Is this code language? :P

Iv just started playing MW2 online - Im just learning, but getting better all the time!

Just laziness. MAG is Massive Action Game, which undoubtedly for marketing reasons has been shortened to MAG. ME2 is Mass Effect 2, the sequel to Mass Effect (2007 Sci-Fi First Person Shooter/Role Playing Game).

As for MW2 it was my first Call of Duty game, so took me a while to get into it (hence the 1.89 K/D ratio). Bought it on the advice of my friends - it's fun, but hugely frustrating at the same time. Learn the maps, watch your radar and you will go far.

  3. I'm not McCarthy's biggest fan, so if he were to go for £2.5m (or indeed if it's a loan and we're getting a £2.5m fee and his wages off the books) then I'm not too fussed. He's an extremely talented player, but lazy beyond belief - it's a mark of his talent that he's able to play at such a high level despite barely putting in the required hours.

I'm more concerned about whether we'd see the money or not. Knowing our board they'd simply argue McCarthy off the wages brings us closer to the required squad wage budget and bank the money.

  4. I think I'd go with

    Emerton Dunn N'Zonzi Van Heerden

At least we'd have two wide players with some pace and at least one central player who isn't likely to break down.

I'm not sure why people are picking Grella ahead of N'Zonzi, he's done nothing in his 15/16 months with us to suggest he's anything more than a backup player.

Grella's classy when fit. He does the job of defensive midfielder very well. Granted he's never fit, but this is a theoretical discussion is it not? As for N'Zonzi I like him a lot, but he needs someone along side him to tell him where to be - which is why our midfield has been so poor when Keith 'headless chicken' Andrews has been partnering him.

I'd play the Emerton, N'Zonzi and Grella three behind Dunn if we had two full backs able to get up and down the wing. Sadly we don't have one at left back unless Chimbonda is pushed back there and Jacobsen starts at right back again.

  5. I'd swap Benni for Tuncay at Stoke, he fell out with Pulis before the game at Hull on Sunday, he is looking to offload him in Jan, Fenerbahce are interested in a loan deal, I wanted Tuncay in the summer, he is there for the taking big Sam! He is only 27 as well, he could play up front,or just off the front man or wide left.

He's only been there 5 minutes!

  6. Went to see The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus at the weekend - didn't really enjoy it as it lost me half way though and I started to get bored, it did get a bit better towards the end but frankly if I'd been on the sofa at home watching this, I'd have been off out for a beer as it was the mussus enjoyed it more so leaving the cinema was not an option.

Re: Taken - Who's driving the Boat !!!!!!

A bloke smart enough to not get in the Liam Neeson's way!

  7. Watched 'Taken' for the second time as it was on Sky Anytime/Sky Movies this week. Not a bad film, a french action thriller starring Liam Neeson. Some of the acting is questionable but its decent paced with plenty of action.

    Anyone else seen it?

Yeah saw it on Sky Movies last night. I really liked it, bar the annoying daughter he was trying to save.

  8. The face as he plummets down the building is also priceless.

Wonder if he was actually going to try and take them with him, always wondered if he was about to shoot McClane or his wife before the watch, "Its a Rolex" was unfastened.

Definitely. Apparently that reaction was real - the director instructed the stuntman to drop Rickman early (on the count of two rather than three).

  9. I liked the line about Johnny Unitas.

"you can't put me in a cage man!"

And the line about going down the freeway in a metal coffin.

    Seriously cool stuff.

Now I switch over and there's some French gaylord stuff with Colin Farrell kissing his mother and having no penis, it's frankly ill-making.

You mean Johnny Utah, right? Keanu Reeves' character? Johnny Unitas was an NFL QB.

Point Break is a fantastic film anyway.
