  1. When I was in the shop last week a bloke asked the at the lady ironing the numbers on the shirts what number Bellamy is going to be. Her reply was, Mark Hughes hasn't decided the squad numbers yet as he is hoping to add one more player to the 1st eleven !
  2. Since 1979, that's.... 26 Years. Loved almost every minute of it, although, money is killing the game.
  3. Maybe because it's 10 years since we won the Premier League and most of the team will be retuning. I'm going not for Tony, but to see the players who graced the Rovers shirt in years gone by.
  4. I'm gutted the figure is so low. We are rapidly becoming one of the worst support clubs in the country.
  5. Got my Semi-Final tickets for Munich as requested, lovely.
  6. Part timer I don't remember seeing you at the Cardiff away match ?
  7. Arsenal are selling tickets on Ticket master !!! They are really struggling.
  8. As there are a number of non-season ticket holders in the group of 17, I waited until Friday to order the tickets (by post). I requested the cheapest tickets available, ie praying for £25 ones. We were subsequently allocated the £45 tickets. If the Rovers suddenly releas a large quantity of £25 tickets, eg a whole stand. Then yes I will be very P****d. But then, what do I expect from them.
  9. Jesus wept! And £220 for the minibus & £460 for the hotel. I am chief tour organiser you see. £100 each for the trip to Bristol, one night stay, transport and match ticket. Not bad I say, just as long as I get all my money back.
  10. My 17 tickets arrived this morning, £45 each. Forked out close to £800, I must be mad.
  11. My sister, who rarely goes to the Rovers, thought it would be nice to go to Cardiff for the weekend and see her friend from Uni. This would co-inside with seeing the game and taking her two young sons (aged 5 & 3). She rung the Rovers today and they only have single seats left in the Family area, so she would have to purchase normal tickets, the cheapest being £45. It would be costing her £180 to go for 4 of them. Disastrous. You can guess that she is now, not going to Cardiff.
  12. Warning, I went to Bristol before the Worthy Cup final with 4 other lads and it was an absolute nightmare getting in pubs. Unless you had a West Country twang it was couples only in most pubs. Disagree ! Going round Bristol was like a night out in Blackburn before the Worthy Cup. There where over 30 of us (2 mini-bus loads), had no problems at all, great night had by all. Will be doing the same again, Saturday night.
  13. Because people have day jobs or limited finances you idiot. Not everybody can just take time off on a friday to stop over. Surely if you booked your day off now there wouldnt abe a problem? I too have a day job and cant really afford it, but il be there! How many day's holiday a year do you get then ??? I get 20, not many in my book, when... a) you have a young child and wife who would like to spend time with you. you follow England home and away. c) you have a week holiday already booked at the end of April d) You can get up early and set off without having to take the day off.
  14. Where are you staying Will? Managed to hire a bungalow for 6 people at £35 apiece in Caerphilly for Sat night now had to change it to Friday. Fortunately there was no problem and now I'm looking forward to it BIG TIME. How are we all fixed for having it large in Cardiff on the Friday? Doing the same as we did for the worthy cup. Staying in Bristol on Saturday night, although now we are going to be celebrating round the streets of Cardiff after the game until we get kicked out of town.
  15. From plenty of Alcohol.
  16. I can still be "forever blue", that is the colour of my blood. When the cost becomes more than you can afford, and the FA make following football more expensive, it can become impossible. Maybe you grow money on trees ? They grow in branches! Get a loan. Its the 1st FA Cup semi we have had for 45 years. Get a Loan !! You definitly don't know me, I am Mr Loan. Don't worry about me not going to the game. I had hotel & mini bus booked for 17 people on Sunday evening!!

  18. Admins, Can we not sort out some sort of petition to send to the FA. This is a disgrace. It is meant to be something we should all be looking forward to, and what are we left with, getting to Cardiff in time to go to the game. No build up, singing, banter,....... After over 25 years of watching football, I feel compelled to give it all in.
  19. I am fuming to say the least. F**k football, it is going down the pan.
  20. Funny, these rumours about Villa park, they also 'heard a rumour' that we had already asked for only 20,000. What a load of tosh.
  21. Just booked 8 double rooms for Saturday 16th at the travel lodge in Bristol for £12 a room !!! Don't ask me how they where that cheap ! Also booked 17 seater mini-bus, £200 ! So it looks like a cheap do ! Bring it on.
  22. Don't need 2 I might for touting purposes though
  23. as with wilksy earlier on i'm not entirely sure if you're struggling to understand my posts or maybe you just have problems with your reading capabilities? my quote was that i doubt there is "a big difference" between the hourly rates of equivalent officers working for both forces,i stand by that quote. all my posts have revolved round the police hourly rates and not the total police bill, which has no relevance to the hourly rates, originally i merely quoted the hourly rates of officers that were used by the gmp to try and justify their extortionate police bill to wigan. in future i suggest reading the posts through properly before jumping in with both feet and making yourself look a bit silly. Mr trabb, kindly shut the ###### up. Thanks Why ??? He has been making valid points ? Can you not read also ? Your comments simply are childish, can you not come up with a discussion to counter Trim ?
  24. considering a constable was earning over £150 a day(roughly 6 hours) for doing the football over a decade ago i'm presuming these hourly rates aren't far of the mark.Either that or dave whelan has a right to be upset at the massive profits the police are making on their policing prices! So you seriously think that your average everyday Joe Policeman i earning a salary of £85,000? I can only presume that you are either stupid, ignorant, or a combination of both. The highest constable salary under Lancashire Police is about £29k and thats after 14 years. Starting rate is £18k. And based on a £150 per day, on a 5 day week equates to a salary of £39k - once again you are talking crap. oh dear me,not sure if you're just plain stupid or didn't read/understand the post, those rates are for football overtime which probably equates to them doing 6 or so hours every fortnight at that rate, not 5 days a week! hence why we were saying they were 'milking' the football as opposed to earning their standard daily rate. thought it was blindingly obvious that we were discussing match day rates(with it being a post about policing football on a football message board!)seemingly not obvious enough for some do us a favour next time and engage brain before proceeding to put your foot firmly in your mouth. I thought you made the point obvious Trim ! Some people just can't help but read only what they want to read. I think we would all be coppers if such salaries where available.
