  1. Just wondered if anyone recorded the match on BBC1 and if anyone was going to be selling some copies of the recording on ebay or on here?

    Please let me know! :)

Edit: Have since been offered a recording... Suprised nobody listed the recording for sale on ebay though!

  2. Great point.

Absolutely delighted with this, the lad is still only 27 and if he stays fit should be coming to his peak.

This could be the best signing we've secured in a very long while imo. Given a reasonable run fitness wise we've landed a 7m quality midfielder for a million upfront!.

No disrespect to MGP but the next project ought to be to relieve Spuds of 10m for him and rescue Duffer from his barcodes misery for around half the price.

Couldnt disagree more. Gamst is one of one of our most important players at the moment and if we sell him, and Dunn gets injured were going to be stuck...

Besides with loosing Lucas, following what happened last season when we lost Dickov and Bellers (two other big characters) and the resulting dip in form, id rather we limited the big players leaving as it could effect our future form in the same way...

  3. According to John Williams:

"You cannot say having a local boy returning would increase attendances but I think the fans would value having him at Rovers.

"The question now is if we feel we want to match Birmingham's valuation. Otherwise, we will have to pass"

Nope it wouldnt, not in Dunn's case. Also please please please dont fork out 2 million for the lad, it aint worth it and we have better options...

  4. I feel for the lad. Just when there was light at the end of the tunnel. :(

At least, for Rovers sake, it happened during the transfer window.

Not that were going to act on that fact by the looks of it... The best we can hope for is Dunn and even thats rather disappointing... <_<

  5. At the moment I'm at the stage where I'm thinking rather Dunn than none.

Dear oh dear, we scream out for a pacey creative midfielder and sign one who looks like he's pregnant, is known to be a bit lax when it comes to training and has a seriously bad history of injuries... If Dunn is the only midfielder we sign in the window then i will be very unhappy... <_<

  6. How long does Cruciate ligament usually keep players out for? If its true, surely Reid will be looking at Next season now?....

Depends on several things, if he has strained or torn it, and also if he has done it to his posterior cruciate ligament or his anterior cruciate ligament.

If he has strained either of these, he could be missing for anywhere between 2 to 6 weeks. If he has torn/damaged it, your looking months... 4 to 12 months...

Dare i say it, a bad tear has been known to end a footballers career. :(:tu:

  7. If Pleasure is right, and he has done his cruciate, then we need two central midfielders. One with the power of Reidy and one with more creativity.

God i wish! :) but we all know that wont happen...

If its true, we all know what Sparky will do... He will bring in a midfielder on loan till the end of the season and have 'faith' in Mokoena... and that will be the end of it for this season as far as midfield signings go... :(

  8. Surely we should sign another central midfielder even if Reid does become fit... I mean he is going to need some time to become match fit. His injury (if todays rumours arent true) could flare up again....

Savage and Tugay are no spring chickens and were going to need something extra in the cup, league and Europe...

Please dont tell me Mokoena is good enough to fill that gap, because we all know he is useless with the ball going forward...

I would have thought a midfielder would have always been on the cards for Sparky, and to be honest im rather suprised he hasnt spent any money on a midfielder since Bentley, Mokoena and Savage...

We need a new central midfielder anyway, even if Reid does come back... Preferably fast, creative and sturdy...

  9. I wouldnt mind seeing more of the fella but the fact is we have Nonda (improving), Benni and Derbyshire putting them away so Gally isnt going to get much of a chance in his prefered position upfront...

I agree that Sparky should play him a bit more before coming to a decision... Although i wouldnt be suprised if he left Ewood perminantly during the transfer window! :tu:

  10. Oh dear GOD!!!

WSR was wrong, Stuwilky was right. Get over it and stop the squabbling. Stu- you're better than this. WSR you'll get bragging rights when you actually attend a match.

    Now Shabani Nonda.............

Actually attended two matches... Just not this season.

Oh and FYI, this argument wasnt actually about a footie 'match', Stu was right and i was wrong, or should i say the website was wrong... :tu:
