I think Ooijer is actually a couple of months older than Henchoz.
Andre Ooijer birthdate: 11 Jul 1974
Stephane Henchoz birthdate: 7 Sep 1974
Andre's older by 2 months... sorry half asleep

Anybody think he deserves a year long extention to his current contract?
I think he's done better than Todd this season...
What does everyone think?
-
Stead was a bit player?? Maybe at the end of his Rovers career he was just before he went off to Sunderland. But i seem to remember him scoring some very important goals!!
Just what we need right now! A youngster to pop up hungry for goals!
-
would be nice if we got beattie back as well as dunny.
Join the transfer thread and arsenal thread. That convo is ongoing!
-
My gods, dont say useless!! You will have people slating you because he had one half of a good game the day before yesterday!!
-
Bit worrying what the commentator hinted on during that match review.
"Do you think Blackburn will have trouble holding onto Bentley?"
-
i seen that on motd2 earlier, also had kisses off morten gamst pedersen and robbie savage!!
Aww young love...

Nonda played well, I wouldn't be critical of his performance that is for sure. He has had a bad patch recently but he has the opportunity to prove himself before the transfer window and Roberts coming back (particularly with Benni being out for the next game).
Good point Eddie, i suppose its down to Nonda now and how well he plays between now and January the 1st. Would still prefer another option coming in perminantly in January though... Maybe someone who can play on the wing and up front like Duff used too...
-
Don't know where you got £425 from but play.com have a pre-order with 3 games for £549.99 so I'd say £499 for the base console is more like it
Thats insane, i would understand the price if the games were cheaper. But the games are gonna cost about £50 each...! So its basically gonna cost £550 for a PS3 and 1 game!?
-
You must have a different TV channel to mine. I watched it on Sky Footie First, and on my screen Nonda came on for the 2nd half and played the best he has ever done in Rovers colours up to now. His work rate and passing were quite good, and I thought he had a hugely improved game showing some interest and commitment for a change.
Funny how Blue Phil said exactly the same as me but everyone is focusing in on giving me the (preverbial) verbal treatment??
Oh and by the way along with most of the major newspapers, teletext and skysports i still think Nondas performance was average. I mean yes he did support our 2nd half but putting on an attacking player for the likes of McEveley is always going to have a positive influence on the game going forward...
-
Did you go to the game?
2 things:
1 - What difference does that make honestly. Do you think that everyone who commented on yesterdays game went to it...?
2 - When i said Nonda needed to go home, i wasnt only making a conclusion on his performance yesterday, i was also thinking of his other performances so far this season. He as looked average at best, and if we are going to build on yesterdays performance, we cant make do with 'average' players, only the best for our rovers!

lots and lots
£499
Is that the actual figure or is it just a guess?
-
Anybody got any idea of how much the 60gb PS3 is going to cost when it comes out in March?
-
I thought both Nonda and McCarthy played well yesterday.
McCarthy was good and looked much more composed yesterday but he still needs to sort out his positioning but Nonda needs to go home. He hasnt really shown me (and others who have commented on him) any reason why we should keep him at Ewood...
-
Excellent result!!! Derbyshire to play against Arsenal though!!
-
Where the hell was the defence? Neill just takes off on these runs and when he loses the ball makes no attempt to get back whatsoever...
For a change he looks completely disinterested!!
We got 5 defenders on the pitch and we still cant defend!! Waste of money Ooijer was, McEveley is pants... I am gonna start the depressed drinking early!!
-
Whats to say that having this new left back behind Gamst and having a less defendedly minded midfielder next to him in Dunn will not improve Gamsts game.
Oh well, i guess only time will tell... I for one would love to see Dunn back in blue and white. Pay as you play contract is the best bet though with his injury problems...

bucky comparing nondoh with shevenko ...i just spilt my breakfast laughing
This is another example of people on this board taking peoples comments out of context. He wasnt comparing him to Sheva, he was comparing him to (just) a 'foreign player' e.g. foreign players needing time to find there feet as it were! He had a very valid point...
I think it also funny that Nonda has been given 10+ games (more than enough time) and after ONE game Derbyshire started people are saying he's not got the appropriate potential. Id say give him 5+ games and see how he settles. The least he deserves is the same as everyone else!
-
Morientes did not exactly set the Prem alight either, doing good now though in he.
Also Crespo, Forlan... Maybe some players just arent suited to the EPL? I dont think Nonda is anyway...
-
Give him to the end of the year...and what?? By that time we could be looking forward to Championship football. I think he has had enough games and unless he is going to but a bit more effort in I can see him returning to Italy sooner rather than later.
THANKYOU Jordan!! Thats exactly the point i have been trying to make! I agree with you 100%!!
-
Did Derbyshire work well with Benni today?
-
Dont tell me Lucas has just scored?
-
Interesting how Nondas been left on the bench. I think this is possibly more of a experimental match for Sparky, trying a few new options...
How are our lads fairing then? Who's doing well and who are doing pants?
-
And who is this magic person you are referring to?
I dont know. Surely there is somebody out there who could do better then Nonda at the moment. He hasnt scored many goals, my opinion and choice if i had one was to give Derbyshire a crack in the first team. He's 20, looks promising according to Sparky So why not?

I suppose the question id like to ask is. Henchoz or Todd?
True, but in my eyes Henchoz has had less training since he left Wigan and has done an ok job for us to make up the numbers.
Im looking forward to Zurab coming back personally because i think he kicks Henchoz and Todd into touch!
