[Archived] Mark Hughes - Good Choice ?
dj54nna replied to Ste B's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
No problem of this as long as he's leading out Chelsea. Man City is a different kettle of fish. Like if Neill had gone to Liverpool. -
And after the window, obviously none that we can afford. I don't think Hughes can stand by the statement of only buying in to improve the squad, what the hell is Berner good for? Probably would've been cheaper to keep hold of Mickey G.

Voted also. -
I bought this. It's ###### mental. Is this your console code or your Strikers code? Or are they the same thing? Stupid online system. Playing ranked games against unknowns is the easier bet.

Quality vid this, Eric Whalley is the Brian Potter of football. Great bloke. And cracking third goal too. -
I was 10. I remember missing the last goal as my dad wanted to leave early to beat the traffic. Daft sod.

My girlfriend was vehemently against me getting one, assuming that it would steal my time away from her. Now she asks me to take it round to hers all the time. Playing video games with your girlfriend rather than just getting earache about it is miles better. So is the satisfaction in winning

I loves ma Wii. Seriously, I've just downloaded SM64 and SM World for some old-school good times. It is a bit less fun on your own, but games like Zelda make it worth playing when your mates aren't around.

Be nice if Rovers retired his shirt number, but I doubt that would happen. -
So much for debate. It's true though, I was given some season tickets to use (upper tier, first few rows). Every time my friend and I got up to sing we felt like we were at a wake. There's no atmosphere at all, and NOBODY sings. Just like the third "dun dun dun-dun-dun ROVERS!" is reserved only for those in the Blackburn end because by the time it gets to that point, it's died off everywhere else in the ground. It'd be much better if there was a mix of people in the Jack Walker upper, but there's not because the season tickets are bought out by those who can afford them (rich and boring business types who don't sing and OAP concessions who can't). And I'm not saying that all elderly persons can't or don't sing, because that would be generalising and cause further brow furrowing. It also wouldn't be true.

Evil Empire was dire. I still can't bring myself to listen to it. The other two proper albums however, are fantastic. Zach did a single with drum'n'bass master Roni Size. If I remember rightly, it was pretty good. Nothing surfaced after that though. -

I bring important news. RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE ARE REFORMING. Thank Christ, Audioslave were tedious to the extreme. Who thought Soundgarden vs RATM could have turned out to be so middle-of-the-road? -
After five minutes play he looks like he's about to have a heart attack. He's getting exhausted too quickly, which has led to some rash challenges and one too many cards for my liking. Apart from that he's not done too bad. Shame Liverpool saw the best of him and not us.

Not a bad deal really. If he's crap, knackered and never plays then we'll probably only have to pay half price. And if he's on form then he's just about worth the £2m we've shelled out. And making Bolton cry is worth at least £1m.
