I have bought quite a few match day passes this season. Usually used via the app on a mobile but v Stoke via the website on a PC.

I have never succeeded in watching a full replay, hardly a hardship this season you may well say.

I bought a match pass v Stoke so tried to watch a replay yesterday and just now, as always I failed, so I thought I would get it solved and chat to those helpful people at iFollow.

The match pass is valid for 24 hours from match kick off. The full replay is available by noon the next day, I assume UK time,

In summary a match pass gives a 3 hour window in which to try to watch a full replay, as much use as Tits on a Carrot.

Have you subscribed to iFollow? The full replays are all available there throughout the season.

  2. It’s been a funny season. Spells of both play off and relegation form. It’s very hard to say where this team ‘should’ finish but I think it’s now clear that we overachieved in Jan as opposed to underachieved since.

The team isn’t ready for promotion as it stands. To avoid relegation this season has to be seen as some form of achievement. Mowbray has said the right things about strengthening the squad in the summer and, personally, I think it’s worth trying to preserve stability if we can and give him a chance.

Having said that, I think the good will from last season has been exhausted. Our form since January has been abysmal. If we don’t improve sharply in the coming weeks then a decision will need to be made.

I want him to turn it around as he’s had such a positive impact at the club. I’m interested to see how the summer window will pan out given his comments so as it stands I’ll probably give him another 6 months or so.

  3. Ironically our relatively decent start to this season clearly overshadowed the fact that this squad is miles away from cutting it consistently in this division.

Mowbray says the right things and I want to give him a chance because he does have credit in the bank and I don’t think anyone could argue that this squad SHOULD be much higher than it is now, regardless of the manager.

I feel we should preserve stability if we can but my confidence is rapidly fading that this can be turned around.

Id certainly give him the next two home games but if we don’t get a result out of those, I think there may be little option. You can’t lose nearly two months worth of fixtures and expect to survive.

It’d be a real shame if it panned out that way and I have no confidence that Venky’s could recruit better, but something will have to change soon if this run continues.

The pricing of hospitality at Ewood has been prohibitively high for some time now. In my view Northcote attempt to create an 'exclusive' image of their brand and don't really want average football fans involved. They'd rather have empty tables and boxes than reduce pricing or open it up for the general public.

I'd be looking to utilise empty boxes by offering them round local pubs and clubs - 30 a head for 10 blokes for unattractive Championship games to include a bit of grub?

It’s around £60 for JK. I don’t think that’s unreasonable at all for hospitality and I was pleased to see how busy it was when I went a few weeks ago.

  5. Hopeless. Williams and Smallwood showcasing why they’re league 1 players. Dack showing why he’ll still be here come next season. Travis’ honeymoon period in midfield seems to have finished. Got caught out regularly.

Overall just a waste of time and money. Bristol had nothing about them but we found a way to lose. Undoes the good work in January. We couldn’t defy gravity for more than a month.

Says a lot about this division if Bristol reach the play offs based on that. So average.

I’ve nothing against the deal, a quarter season ticket is a good idea, but I personally don’t think an offer that costs between £17 and £23 a match is one that will do much for a mid table side.

What else could we do? Cheap one off games that aren’t connected to ‘bring a mate’ or with other strings attached. Make it an attractive, Saturday 3pm match.

Though for me they can undercut my season ticket with pleasure, and they have in the past, I’m sure I can remember ‘3 games for £30’ offers in the past - bums on seats all the way for me.

£17 a game for Championship football is a good deal. I don’t seriously think you can expect the club to charge less for a consecutive run of games.

Find it slightly ironic that some of the posters who criticise the club’s lack of transfer activity are also having a pop at ticket prices. If you want dirt cheap tickets then you can’t expect us to be competitive in the market.

We are going way off topic here. The premier league sides we had shouldn't even be coming into the equation when compared with these weak as piss players, the awful infrastructure of the club, the lack of realism from the chief exec and the lack of enthusiasm from the fan base.

We have the same awful defence that we've had since the likes of Hanley and Duffy left, bar Amari bell. It needs sorting, simple. The manager hasn't sorted it, simple.

if Graham is injured now, we are fucked, we should have a replacement, the manager hasn't brought one in, he's relying on an awful player in nuttall.

if dack is injured, the only replacement in Palmer has gone.

if Travis is injured, we have to rely on a very poor player in Smallwood, managers loyalty to poor players costly.

I could pick this apart but what’s the point.

The overreaction by some fans is ridiculous. It’s a shame. There’s still plenty to enjoy about this season.

  8. For those questioning Mowbray - look at the squad. Where do you think we should finish?

To expect us to be in the play offs with the current side is massively optimistic.

Bowyer had better players. He should have done more with what he had. I don’t think the same accusation can be made now.

tony has done great i just dnt think in long run he is the man to take us up sorry just my view

    No need for apologies.

Just think we need to keep perspective.

If Tony had a squad capable of going up then I think it’d be easier to judge.

Frankly, given the sides around us, I credit TM for having us midtable, not blaming him for being outside the play offs.

can you seriously see tony taking us to the promise land if you can a word with yourself

reason why we dropped most points from winning position poor management/defending/no squad depth i love us to go up not happening with tony sorry

First season back in the Champ. The very reason you think promotion is a possibility is because of Mowbray. Were you saying this last week?

It’s a bad defeat. It happens in this division. We’re not ready to go up yet but I don’t think anyone expects us to.

  11. Heading back from the game.

They are such a good footballing side. It’s a nothing club but you can’t knock their ability in possession. No shame in getting beaten but it’s galling when we give goals away as Raya did.

Bennett got torn apart. Travis and Evans got picked apart too often.

Overall, 4 wins on the bounce was going to come to an end eventually. Frustrated but not sure we would have won that game regardless of the line up.

    Its how we respond.

Had rovers been midtable or lower u could maybe understand no movement but it smacks of complete naivity and stupidity on mowbray's part when rovers are in a good position to make a late push. That or sheer arrogance in thinking that after a few good results rovers dont need to invest

We’ve been in the play off mix for about a week. We were 15th at the start of Jan.

Very surprised to see us linked to some decent strikers but can understand the reluctance to spend £10m+ and blow apart the wage structure. Sometimes we have to cut our cloth.

I know it’s cliche but Travis is almost like a new signing. I’d have liked more than just Chapman but if the deals weren’t right then I can accept keeping the powder dry.

Our recent record of reduced season ticket pricing - which is the discussion - shows that we do increase gates so I’m not sure why you are talking about specific ticket promotions. Although, we haven’t really tested those enough under Waggott to say one way or the other - except the Oxford game, which people believe we should ignore. However, if we had charged £25 per ticket I sincerely doubt we would have had the gate that we did.

But ignoring that, your third para is the important one in my view. It is the total package and the perception of value for money that is important. We are all different and have different income levels but £15 per game is probably the limit when it comes to happily committing up front for 23 games.

But consider that if we offered a £179/£199 season ticket with some marketing and we would be looking at gates north of 18k per week. In my opinion. 25k when Leeds rock up. Sadly, the club would rather charge double and have half the fans. That’s how it stands today, as I see it.

A £199 season ticket is less than £10 a game. How are we meant to compete financially against other teams with that?  You understand that we do need to act as a business sometimes as well? If you want a decent product on the pitch then at some stage we need to pay for it. It’s probably £10 a game in the national league if you’d rather we play there..?

Come on lads,  I have never once heard a player say I wanted to move to Blackburn for the buzzing cosmopolitan area, haha. Boro have been above us on the footballing ladder for years now

Stop it. They’ve been in higher divisions from time to time but they’re hardly a more attractive proposition overall.

Progress from what? Coyle? Wouldn’t be hard. Yet we are in the same if not worse position than when bowyer had us- another I didn’t rate. Has our team play improved under mowbray? Has our defence? I’m not seeing it, watching us play is a struggle. We can grind out results but will only take us so far, much more dominance and flair needed. Am I a harsh critic? Absolutely. But I want the best from my team, I make no apologies for that.

Signings? Has he done well with the budget available? Again there is a target there. Every manager in Britain puts himself in that position, fans have every right to question.

I disagree with just about everything you say to be honest

So anything less than promotion from the championship with a team who were in L1 last season, would be unacceptable?

Did Bowyer have us in a better position...?

What becomes sadly apparent is how much Rovers have lost touch with their fan base since Venkys came crashing in.We've lost around 10,000 fans and you wonder why,we have regressed so much on and off the field of play its untrue!

Thing is that there were plenty of games in the prem era under Hughes where we got 16-18k gates and that was with one of the most competitive teams we’ve had.

At the moment we seem to be getting 12-13k home fans a week. I don’t think we’ve ever had a core support much over 20k.

The damage done by Venky’s is obviously immeasurable but the reality is that we have always struggled to attract over 18k regular home fans since the early 2000s.
