Where are the funds coming from to create this identity? You can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
Posters are talking about a Nelson, Savage or Todd? Who was it that said it’s not 1995 anymore? It’s not 2005 either.
Have no expectations, support the manager and players right now, see what happens.
It would appear that the identity that Tomasson wants does not suit the playing squad at present.
Rather than playing to our strengths he's stubbornly sticking to a perceive style that many cannot achieve.
If an influx of players suited to this style do not arrive, then results will drop, which will not be conducive to adding value to younger players.

The January Transfer Window is a chance for Tomasson to create an identity, and a style to mirror his ambitions.
Anything less will inevitably lead to another death spiral of his own making.
However recent results suggest it may have started.

Any update on how the U21s got on today against Brentford. I am in Amsterdam airport and it is difficult to find any information.
Won 2-1 Ben Fyles brace.

We're having one of our best seasons in years - I'm happy.
Same points as last season at 21 game mark.
Position higher.
Goals scored 11 less.
Goals conceded 5 less.
Not quite the best in years.

Do any of them live in the area? Does Waggott? Do they have any idea of the rivalry? Does Waggott have any inkling of what Rovers v Burnley means? A good CEO would be impressing onnewcomer like Tomasson the importance of today's match. Kompany certainly does - and as do the Burnley directors and the players to judge from the passion they showed. Our lot played like it was a training exercise
Waggot looked on screen like Shylock missing out on a loan.

Any side that loses 9 games in 21 and always loses when going behind, has serious questions to answer on character, motivation, and tactics.

I would take a bus from Manchester to Bolton and then the No1 bus from the bus station there. The No1 stops right outside Ewood and is a very regular service. I hope this helps.
Best option.

Buckley, Dack and Markanday do not fit the requirements of the style Tomasson wants to play.
All three have qualities, but generally off the ball they are lacking in what is required.
A Tomasson comment a couple of weeks ,reiterated that some players have not grasped the requirements of his way of playing.

Any remember Johnny Price from the 70s ?..He wasnt quite as big as Samba.....
Remember him being dumped off the pitch at Burnden Park, the pitch was raised at this particular touchline and he struggled to climb back on the pitch.

It would have been more appropriate to cancel next weekends match rather than tomorrows.

Any idea who JDT was referring to yesterday about a signing we missed out on?
Dembele at Bournemouth

Concerned as to balance of defence,Wharton the only left footed c/b, and Pickering is woeful.

Agreed we need 2, but waiting for the right targets is better than signing those we don't particularly want.
Brittain was worth the wait, Morton looks like he could well be, and the same with Szmodics. We'll gain more points over a season by signing the right players than we will in the short term by loaning emergency stop-gaps.
Totally agree, not good for the nerves though

His parent are used to knocking back the larger clubs....know for a fact that Utd have enquired numerous times over the years....I'd imagine he will be advised to stay here until at least 20 years of age. The money will come.
I sincerely hope you are right.

it`s about being savvy and using your grey matter, spend a few years learning your trade and then get your move to a really big club, phillips would be badly advised to go to spurs at the moment,he`ll get lost in their system
Parents and agents less likely to be savvy, the lure of instant riches hard to ignore, sadly.

It would appear that the Academy supply will provide players capable of Championship football.
However when a calibre of player above that, ie Philips emerges, it is seemingly impossible to tie down to a professional contract.
With the vast array of player scouting especially at the top level, nobody with extra talent slips under the radar.
How we solve the conundrum is open to debate, expecting loyalty is a thing of the past.

Personal prediction Dack isn’t a rovers player on 1st September.
Very much doubt anybody would sign him presently, too many question marks over fitness.

I.m no defender of Waggot quite the opposite, but remember the "don't devalue the product" quote from Venky's.
Shortly after the takeover Madame Desai criticised John Williams for reducing ticket prices previously to generate the filling of Ewood.
Therein lies the problem, the" if we are putting in £20 million a year then they are not having cheap tickets as well"

Looking for some advice - not season tickets related but match tickets related. I'm trying to buy 2 match tickets for the QPR game - 1 adult & 1 under 12 ticket. When I go to my basket, the under 12 ticket is assigned to me, so it brings up an error message. I've managed to change to name to my son's name, but I still receive an error message as it's telling me I need to input his date of birth on his account - but he hasn't got an account set up. And when I try and set up an account for him, it won't let me do it as I'm trying to use the same email address as mine.
Not sure if something has changed as I didn't have this issue last season. Has anyone encountered this and am I just being a bit slow?
Last season there was a change in buying tickets for Juniors, due to people buying Junior tickets falsely.
Can only be bought by ringing Ticket Office.

Doubt you will be told anything new if you are going to reveal all on BRFCS Messageboard.
However appreciate your efforts and hope you glean something positive.

I cant see how the club can not honour them if they are old given these are the ones on their website. Its mis-selling a product if you are signing up based on its terms
Best of luck with that one.
Perhaps an insight into how shoddy a lot of departments are at Ewood.

Broughton is as responsible as Tomasson for the situation, the recruitment has been very poor.
