Not long ago I was seeing tweets and comments about how Venkys had learned and how there was now a structure at the Club and normality.

Then we see the frankly scandalous situation with Mowbray and know that this was all just wishful thinking.

I'm far from a fan of Mowbray. I don't particularly like the bloke, admittedly I don't know him but I don't really like his comments or his excuses, and I don't think he's a particularly good manager. Steady, solid, safe but little more.

But the events of the last few weeks in particular since the Preston game show these owners and this club up for what they really are - classless, clueless, incompetent, rudderless and a disgrace.

To allow a seemingly departing manager to have to answer these questions on his own future, with no comment at all from our owners, CEO or anyone in any position of power is appalling.

A quick look at QPR shows how it can be done properly. A simple press release on the Club website, gracious, professional and unambiguous. Presumably such a task is beyond our CEO.

Even if we were in the market for a half decent manager it won't go unnoticed that this is a club that goes about its business in a shoddy and unprofessional way.

Mowbray needs a change as does the Club but I'm disgusted by the way this has been handled. Anyone there - owners or so-called executives on the payroll should be ashamed of themselves. They can't even get their house in order and deal with a departure with a shred of decency what hope do we have of recruiting a decent replacement?

There is the crux of the matter, how we are viewed from outside

.Dyche,Carvalhal, Farke, would never work for such a dysfunctional set-up.

Waggot has no gravitas, the owners treat us like a financial incumbance.

We've only heard one side of this story.

For all we know - and I suspect this will possibly be the case - the club have said to Mowbray 'now is not the time, let's talk once the season ends'.

Mowbray is simply trying to engineer an opportunity for himself.

Hopefully, he has now burnt his bridges, surely no way back now. Time to move on.

All the sympathy towards him in recognition of his tenure must be tempered by his inability to take us any further.

If we had not beaten PNE, it would be a different tale, one result should not gloss over the seasonal Mowbray Death Spiral.

  3. So we now have 3 extra categories of fans who through the amateurish marketing attempts, and under performing team will have serious doubts about attending next season.

1 People who understandably through Covid did not renew last season, but are willing to attend next season, are penalised.

2 Half season ticket holders after witnessing another Mowbray death spiral.

    3 Final Five ticket holders.

Add to this the half- hearted campaign and video, surely only diehards will renew, sadly I'm one.

The whole set up reeks of complacency, an acceptance of mediocrity.

Rovers have got today's match day prices all wrong again.

Its should 15 pounds all areas for adults and get fans back today. Its a bank holiday and good day to attract fans in today with the correct pricing policy but charging 25 pounds plus is wrong again.

Today should be ideal time to get people interested in coming to Ewood Park again.

Advised both my daughters that today's pricing is really not worth paying, first time I've ever done this in 30 years

It reminded me of the famous John Coddington penalty miss back in the 1960’s. Only he ran from the half way line to side foot the ball. I think he’d run out of breath when he got to the ball. What made it worse the ref told him to take it again for some infringement only he saw, maybe he couldn’t see properly for laughing. So Coddington does exactly the same thing with exactly the same result. A gentle side foot into the keepers arms.

If I hadn’t have seen it with my own eyes ………

That memory will last a lifetime, unfortunately. So weak, the goalie was led on the ground waiting for it to roll to him.

Bournemouth can dilly dally on the medical to reduce the time left for Rovers to spend the funds on a replacement.

This potential transfer has been on since the mysterious back injury Monday night.

Further accelerated after the meeting on Thursday.

If a deal has been agreed then replacements must have been sourced.

Only failed medicals will disrupt proceedings.

They where the ones who changed the dynamics when things changed and they where no longer top dog. Rather than returning the favour they turned nasty and where we are now is because of them.

Agree, having worked in Burnley for 40 years, the early 70's was banter and friendly rivalry, however once we gained the ascendancy it turned.

As for 90% not returning, history shows us quite clearly that if the product on the pitch is good, the Blackburn public will turn out in numbers, its been that way since 1875 and will continue to be that way forever. You put Blackburn Rovers back in the premiership right now and we'd see a massive spike in numbers coming to games, you take Venkys out of the equation and you'd see even more.

    Venkys Out.

    History says otherwise.

Sure people attended watching a Premier League winning side, but don't forget the dwindling attendances Ince/Allardyce era.

John Williams drastically reducing season ticket prices to raise attendances.

Are people who add clauses to there attendance at Ewood, like Premiership football or a change of ownership ,  just fans and not supporters.

Being a Rovers supporter is not conditional, it's supporting through good times and bad.

We will only be a strong as the income we achieve, which larger attendances will go a small part in helping.

This is the danger here now with people thinking this is some way of injecting team building, manager changing money.

It's far more likely money that was desperately needed to just get through the pandemic and service the already stretched overdraft. Therefore in future not much is likely to change they've set their future stall out this summer just gone.

Whoever is right, it is better than doing nothing at all.
