  1. Couldn't agree more, it'd be like Colin Hendry coming home.

i think it would be even better than the big fella coming back. main reason is cause dunny is one of our own, born and bred. dunny contributed to his own departure from ewood park but that is in the past and it seems like he has turned over a new leaf....having a home grown boy, come home would be fantastic!

  2. at 0-1 and 11 men still on the park for us, i was quite confident that we could get back into the game, but a non-sensicle sending off and to compound that conceding another goal afterwards made it extremely difficult for us. not neccasarily mark halsey but more so a REF has again come up with a desicion that has ultimately had an effect on the game....a decision that was wrong!

  3. amo is out of contract at season's end anyway i think huh.gif

so even if no-one comes in for him, this will be his last season at rovers anyway. he might hve been a very ordinary footballer, but at the time he gave us toughness that we did not have. now, we have the toughness as well as centre halfs who can play football aswell.

  4. I am looking forward to the aftermath for want of a better description, of the first meeting with the club and the items that will be on the agenda. no doubt the ticket prices thing will be on there aswell. certain sections of our fan base have long criticised the club for their pricing of matches...however when the club appear to be getting this right, with argueably some of the cheapest tickets in the country, the attendances are going backwards. now that this subject has been dealt with (by the club in my eyes) the excuse now is that the team are playing crap football or that it aint good enough to spend hard earned cash on. as it appears now, this also seems to be being dealt with.....so what now is the excuse of the fans? good football being played by the lads, some cheap prices and good entertainment - there is now no excuse, based on the past gripes of fans. with this in mind, i am hoping that the club express their own dissapointment towards the fans. as a whole, the club are giving the fans what they have wanted for the past few seasons...so why still no increase in attendances!!

  5. that does sound very odd clare. something that i find rather confusing aswell is that why are we playing an international game when we are gaurenteed a spot at the world cup? albeit this is a friendly but the players need a arest every now and again. i don't think it would hurt to have a 2 week break every now and again just so the players can have a rest.

  6. ray clemence could not have been more complimentary if he tried, regarding our performace this morning. "blackburn are a joy/pleasure to watch" "the football that blackburn are palying is first class" was also another of his comments.....my reply to him on that one was it is a shame that at least 10,000 more rovers fans disagree with him. he also said "if this was chelsea playing this kinda football, we would all be wowing and marvelling at them".

we have played some outstanding football this season and the players are giving the fans what they have been whinging about for a long time...some quality football to watch. my own opinion is that those so-called fans who slag them off when the going is bad will not be heard from until if and when rovers go through another bad spell....that really chaps my arce!

just over 17,500 for a premier league attendance is disgusting!

  7. Apparently the Asian community had asked for their own stand or their own area of the ground to a previous stadium manager, thats why ive brought it up.

never mind all this ###### ###### about educating us white folk about excepting asian people into our society and football ground, because by the above statement it is not us who does not want to intigrate into their society, it is they who are not interested.....so i go back to a thread that was quite a while ago now - the FA,Government and whoever else is involved with this 'kick racism out of football'......take your advertisements at our grounds, in the newspapers, on television and on radio and go and shove them down the throats of anybody who is not a white fella, because that is exactly waht you are doing to the average white man/woman/child. i bet they don't have adverts up in mosques around the uk? i bet they don't have these adds in the asian newspapers and on asian radio or television. i would like somebody to prove me wrong on this so i can hold my hand up..and say "i was wrong"....but if this is not the case then those folk who are running this campaign can go and shove it where the sun don't shine.

jal - i am generalising and not a direct responce of your post smile.gif

  8. undoubtedly at the seasons end there will be players that are sold or realeased.......and depending on how much money the boss has to play with and also dpending on how much progress the club is making, then i can't see why we can't put in a bid for dunny....cause hell knows he would love to come home and play for rovers again. apart from him, bentley is a central midfielder and lets not get on his case for his quiet performances as he aint a right midfielders asshole.

  9. Leeds are just another average team in an average Championship(although it's never been as strong since us,Fulham and Bolton went up)

My team(if only i could choose) to play dirty Leeds:

    Friedel

    Neill  Todd  Zura  Taylor

    Emerton Reid  Bently  Thompson

          Bellamy Jansen

    Rovers 2-0 Leeds

    Thompson (22)

    Bellamy (61)

    ATT:  11,612

greggy...have you been forward in time and read that almunac that belong to marty mcfly??.....chuffin eck get your self down to the bookies and some money put on it.

  10. i am currently listening to radio rovers and mike graham was on there...(which board member is he, if any). he said quote "we want to look at ticket prices".....my immediate reaction is how much more do this club have to do in terms of trying to get really competitive prices to get more fans into ewood park on a match day.....i am totally bewildered by the comment by this chap that suggests the fans are still not happy with the current prices...and lets bare this in mind folks, we are one of the cheapest teams in the country to go and see play premiership football. it is (in my mind) ###### ludicrous that some areas of our support are still complaining about the prices of the tickets.

    what is going on!!!!

  11. i can't actually tell wether or not that zurab touched the ball...even at full speed and on repalys too. what makes it hard to understand for me was that the ball and player was running away from goal and all zurab had to do was shepherd the guy towards the byeline. however, in saying that if it was a free kick then it certainly was a yellow card at the very most...the ref without a doubt in my mind spoiled the game from that moment on. he was not the last defender and we had cover in the penalty area....so i think the ref has dropped a bollock on this one by spoiling the game.

  12. Absolutely right O.R.and as a further thought I think that it is time the law was changed to give courts the powers necessary to punish very severely all those who are found to have brought either frivolous or malicious charges against individuals. Obviously there must be clear proof in such cases.

it sounds so much like the mike tyson rape case. she knew why he wanted her to go back to his room. she had no problem with it...and decided to ruin his life from that moment on.
