  1. Agree with you on the IPL. It is damaging the game and it has and will continue to have an adverse effect on ODI's and Test matches. However, the amount of money it generates and the players it has produced for India has seen them rise to the top of the rankings. The likes of Kohli, Jadeja, Raina, Ashwin and many more had all performed well in the IPL, for them to be recognised on the international scene. On a more light hearted note. We know the Royal baby isn't Australian, otherwise it would have been all out by midday. ;-)
  2. I guess the umpires were bribed in the World Cup, Twenty20 and ICC Champions Trophy?
  3. It has been brought in to ensure fairplay yet these 2 test matches clearly show how flawed the system is. India refuse it and it's bloody good job that they do. Stops all the controversy around DRS and focuses more on the match. Mind you, DRS wouldn't have saved Broad from that humiliating over he served up to Yuvraj. You still haven't told me which one was your favourite six?
  4. I think it's about time this DRS was scrapped and good old-fashioned days bought back to cricket. Some great cricket has been on show over the past 2 weeks and all of that has been overshadowed by the controversial DRS. Obviously we saw the blatant cheating from Broad in the first test. However, what irked me a lot was the Smith catch. What happened to asking the fielder whether he had caught it clean or not? The honesty and integrity of this sport is going down the pan and a lot of it I believe, is down to the reliance on DRS. Scrap it!
  5. Have a look at what Swann, his fellow teammate, berrated the Sri Lankan lad for not walking and says nothing when his own teammate does it. Double standards and hypocritical! I can't believe the amount of people advocating cheating on this MB. That says a lot about you than it does about me.
  6. A part time bowler ripping through this fragile England middle order. All the talk prior to the game was about Finn. It's the batsmen they should have focused on. Brilliant from Michael Clarke too. Inspired bowling changes all throughout the day. That's why, along with MS Dhoni, He is the best captain in the world. You would not see such bravery/tactical changes from Cook.
  7. Trolling? I am just answering the questions that I have been asked. They seem to have the problem, not me. I couldn't give a flying monkeys if an Englishman supported India or bloody Uganda for that matter. So I suggest you direct your "note" elsewhere, Tom. Thank you. Football is full of cheats, we all know that. Cricket isn't and the disgusting likes of Broad are tarnishing the sport.
  8. I'm perfectly happy being here, if you have a problem then you should do as you said and be a good little lad and **** off. I enjoy watching cricket and contests very rarely get as exciting as this. Very poor start from the England opening batsmen. Remind me again why Compton was dropped? Take Anderson out of the England side and it is very very poor.
  9. Another 2 wickets for Australia before lunch and England will be calling upon Mr Dingle and co. to get them out the @#/? again!
  10. I can give you an example Tendulkar walking in a World Cup - The only trophy that eluded him in his glittering career (up until recently) - and he still walked. Anyway, let's move on, my opinion on Broad isn't going to change, he is a cheat in my eyes and forever will be.
  11. Is Broad not a shameful cheat? Are you seriously backing him after he blatantly edged the ball and decided not to walk? Wow, just wow. Anyway, England have won the toss and decided to bat. Blue skies and no sign of cloud. Seems like the perfect toss to win. Michael Clarke has been a useless tosser this series ;-)
  12. I don't like the England cricket team, is it really that hard to get your head around? I don't hate England, I just hate their cricket team. I'm fine with the national football team, in fact I'm planning my trip to the next world cup. I hate the arrogance, the cheating, the hypocrisy and the attitude. That is why I don't support them.
  13. Why don't you applaud the brilliance of Yuvraj? Or are you a bitter individual with a pathetic vendetta? Why don't you start by looking at the sheer hypocrisy of the England team? The same team that had an outburst against the Sri Lankan players for not walking, yet do the same!! I take it you clapped when the Australians were rattling through your middle order? The final six was my favourite, which one was yours?
  14. Not to forget a bunch of hypocritical morons. No room for people like Broad in Cricket. Ruins the beautiful sport. Anyway, back to enjoying this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPWMisaPazM
  15. Be my guest. Club before country, always has been and always will be. Brave to stick by Finn, especially how he nearly cost you the first test. I would have had Bresnan in and bought in Bopara for Bairstow, who I feel adds nothing to the team. Bopara can give you something similar to Watson, where he can keep it tight and give the quicker bowlers a break.
  16. I cannot stand the English cricket team and you really think I'll be cheering on a Dingle in James Anderson? You've got another thing coming. Club before country. You can look forward to seeing Yuvraj's face, but I guess he'll just wave back with his World Cup, ICC Champions Trophy and Twenty20 world champions medal wrapped around his neck. The hypocrisy amongst the England camp is unbelievable. I guess Swann will be questioning Broad's morality? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-2116812/Graeme-Swann-blast-Sri-Lankan-cheat.html Take a leaf out of Tendulkar or Gilchrist's book and play the game how it should be played. Not cheating!
  17. The third umpire may choose to give the benefit of doubt to the batsman if its not clear whether the bat or foot was on or behind the line. I think there was enough doubt in the dismissal. Agar did not know whether his foot was or wasn't behind the line. Broad knew he had touched it and should have walked.
  18. I don't know what the fuss is about re: Agar's stumping. His foot was on the line and in that instance, the line belongs to the batsman. Therefore it was the correct call by the 3rd umpire. Broad should have walked and there is no room for cheats in this sport. The extra runs he hit after that, was probably the margin by which England won by. Shameful. I guess Broad deserves to get spanked around the park by Yuvraj. His face that day - priceless.
  19. Shades of Brisbane 2006 as the first ball goes for a wide. England v Australia is always a cracking battle. May the best team win.
  20. Very sad news. This place will be far worse without him. Condolences to his family.
  21. Sizzling Palate in Bolton town centre for tea today, prior to the game for me.
  22. You ever tried their Steak? Apparently heard good reviews but never got round to trying it.
