  1. It doesn't matter where Yorke warmed up, how long he warmed up for, or what kind of warm up he did.  He should not be subjected to racist abuse.

Hopefully the culprits have now been caught and will be punished, if guilty, accordingly and we can all move on.

where did I say he deserved racist abuse?

You didn't. But you did seem to be implying that Yorke deserved what he got because of where he warmed up and the amount of time he took doing it.

    racist abuse ...no.

abuse ...yes...at least 4000 in the blackburn end thought so .

alls Im saying all this could have avoided had he done a normal warm up instead of kneeling down in front of the blackburn end for twenty mins, what exactlty was he warming up for twenty mins because ive been doing stretching and warming up for nigh on 30 years and have never come acrooss an exercise that involves kneeling for 20 minutes.maybe he was meditating.

  3. Ummm, no actually what he suggesting you pfa muppet, is that yorke shouda warmed up in from of the b'ham fans, rather than in front of 7,000 Rovers fans in the bbe who hate him for the way he milked our club. I mean you wouldnt expect say, Alan smith to go warm up in front of the leeds fans if manure and them played in the cup or summit.

To clear this up, it's not up to substitutes where they warm up, because law 3 states

all substitutes are subject to the authority and jurisdiction of the referee, whether called upon to play or not

    That when combined with this

The fourth official assists with any administrative duties before, during and after the match, as required by the referee.  He is responsible for assisting with substitution procedures during the match.

means that players warming up will ask permission from the 4th official and will be told where they can warm up.

9 times out of 10 they will be instructed (as Lee pointed out in an earlier post) to warm up in the half of the field where the linesman is officiating on the side of the pitch where the dugouts are.

Presumably because the laws governing the technical area are fairly strict as well

Only one person at a time is authorised to convey tactical instructions and he must return to his position after giving these instructions.

The coach and other officials must remain within the confines of the technical area except in special circumstances, for example, a physiotherapist or doctor entering the field of play, with the referee's permission, to assess an injured player

so the subs are sent to warm up where the lino can make sure they're not conveying messages to players or coaching from the sidelines.

tris not patronising anyone ,but ffs a player warming up usually runs the line a few times ,stretches and goes back to the dug out....not kneel down in front of home fans for twenty mins.

  4. She added, “Det Inspector Simon Giles and Det Sgt Gary Dunnagan, from Blackburn CID, met with Mr Yorke and other members of the

club earlier today at Birmingham City’s training ground where they interviewed a number of people over several hours.”

    UNBELIEVABLE WITH A CAPITAL F!!!!!

IF THERE ARE POLICE READING THIS ....WHY....CAN YOU GO ALL THE WAY TO BIRMINGHAM 1/2/3 DAYS AFTER THE INCIDENT TO INTERVIEW THE VICTIM OF A FEW STICKS AND STONES,YET IT TOOK NEARLY TWO WEEKS TO INTERVIEW MY SISTER WHO WAS ASSULTED IN A HOSPITAL CAR PARK.

SEEMS TO ME IN THE WORDS OF AN AC/DC SONG MONEY TALKS.

It would appear to me that if your dark skinned, rich and famous , the crime is more serious than that of an ordinary working class gal with no predgiduos.

  5. ive beeb chatting to a friend of mine today whose been telling me about his daughter being abused by his wifes dad and the police have warned him if anything happens then my friends in a lot of trouble...even his wife wants bad ###### for her dad.I didnt know what to say or do ,just feel so bad for t he family and more family members have come forward as well.

What happens when the daughter asks what has happened to her grandad?

"Don't worry I have killed him just for you"

    That would make everything ok!

I have moved away from Blackburn but when I read the neanderthal like drivel written on here on topics such as race and crime, it makes me glad I have moved away.

so what her grandad has done is ok then ,btw my friends been told he's gonna excpect 10 years. The scumbag should hang for what hes done to the girls that have come forward.

As for neandrathal, what punishment would you give him?a tag and let him live next door to your little girl...."its ok xxxx, you know what your grandad did well hes tagged so its ok"or"dont worry love by the time your 17/18 grandad will be free so feel free to take your kids round hes cool now,!"

  6. We got a report here in a swedish daily news paper about the Yorke booing!

But in the article you can read this:

"Each time DY touched the ball the crowd of Ewood started doing monkey sounds"!!!

    How about that?!?!

I heard the booing but no monkey sounds.........

god knows what they will report on boxing day then because that yesterday will seem like childs play......arrange these words for the 26th....

    BARRELS SOEY BOTH BIGTIME

  7. .  If people are sad enough to boo him then fine but anything more is well out of order and indefensible to me.

WHY NOT BOO HIM ?WHAT WOULD YOU DO CLAP HIM AND CHANT HIS Name?

So if I don't boo him then I have to stand and clap him do I? Not sure of your logic really but do the capitals make your point more valid.

    didnt mean caps sorry thumbs-up.gif

  8. how come people are after banning people......hows about giving our fans the benefit of the doubt first...I never heard any aimed at yorke.

just reading steve bruce saying yorke definitlty heard monkey noises...1 question mr bruce how the bloody hell did you hear from the dugouts....ok back your player but dont say DEFINTLY without proof.

like i said i heard nothing but doesnt make it defo does it.

  10. I'm all for these hateful acts being punished by much harsher sentencing. As a civilized society though, are we not above exacting brutal punishments as they do in 'backward' facing cultures such as, erm...Islam?

well islam or whatever ,what religion has to do with this emotive subject is beyond me .....going back to what colin said earlier about family members....

ive beeb chatting to a friend of mine today whose been telling me about his daughter being abused by his wifes dad and the police have warned him if anything happens then my friends in a lot of trouble...even his wife wants bad ###### for her dad.I didnt know what to say or do ,just feel so bad for t he family and more family members have come forward as well.
