  1. Dee Snider...grumble....false metal....grumble....sell out dry.gif

    DEE SNIDER!!!!

    =LEGEND!!!!!!!

i was an official SMFfriend of twisted sister!!!!!!

IM HAVING I AM IM ME PLAYED WHEN I CROAK IT!!!!!!

AND as the curtain shuts or worms bite ....it be PARANOID....and as everyone turns to go i want HIGHWAY TO HELL to blast and everyone to sing rovers and bronco songs

  2. Are we talking about the same Newcastle who had gates around the 12k mark back in the early 80's..DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE!!

i remember a night game 0-0,at st james and a gate of 8k.

now going onto the likes of the north east teams,in for example newcastle area.there are clubs like man u ,liverpoo, everton, rovers, scumley, nobend, bolton ,rochdale, blackpool, wigan etc.so its no wonder they get big gates 50k.....if us lancs clubbed together, what would we have 200?300k.

boro has a massive catchment area as well,if we had same area without the histories of our clubs it would be the same for us.

simple idea for ewood WHY NOT HAVE A BILLBOARD WITH DATE AND TIMES ON BOLTON RD AND OTHER SITES OF TRAFFIC IN/AROUND THE AREA.

  3. [in my opinion, Steads rise to fame at Ewood has been down to his hunger to succeed. He has become a fans favorite not just because of his goals but also his willingness to chase for the ball.

He's also a 21-year-old sprog. If we had a whole team of young players there would be no need to worry over hunger and desire.

Matteo is a reasonable signing (injury provided) but I am concerned that Souness has recruited yet another player in his thirties.

Jack Walker's advice to Dalglish when he went on his spending spree was to try to buy "young and British" but by and large Souness seems to rely on experience.

Assuming Rovers line against West Brom something like this,

    Friedel (age 33)

    Neill (26)

    Short (36)/Amoruso (33)

    Matteo (30)

    Gray (30 next month)

    Thompson (26)/Emerton (25)

    Ferguson (26)

    Flitcroft (31)/Tugay (34 next month)

    De Pedro (29?)

    Stead (21)

    Cole (32)/Dickov (31)

...... I would say it's a good job Thompson and Ferguson are available for selection again otherwise the line-up would look distinctly aged.

younger than boltons average age of 101!

  4. ......I try but I can't. biggrin.gif

youandwhosearmy, I'm one of those dreadful porridge wogs.

mmmmmlets see england in championships ,scotland ?lets see oh aye i remember they was watching with the faroe islands, wales and all ireland:P

never mind theres always the 2199 w cup.

  5. As for the 5.15 kick off times- seems a good idea to me. Last time we kicked off around that time in the top flight was Man Utd at home and walloped them 2-0. Great atmosphere, fantastic day and then straight out for a few celebratory jars,

and five hours in the blues bar before kick off works for me.

Glad utd games on sky me and baby abs will find a bar with it on....i hope.

  6. I maintain that I support both England and Blackburn equally. There's no conflict, the two peacably co-exist.

And yes, I am still mega-flipped off about Thursday.

exactly bryan ,I also can add my beloved Broncos to that gut wrenching stomach churning list of following sports teams. Each time one of these teams wins im happy as pigs are in poop and also if they lose i get equally as angry.

Cant believe people who say that rovers is all there is .I also rant for cricket, lancs and england ,boxing ,rugby league ,wigan and GB.

  7. Just catching up this thread. Revidge I understand exactly where you're coming from. Rovers is gut wrenching emotion....that's the difference

Beaten by two France goals in the last two minutes; the agony and drama of another penalty shoot-out. How much gut-wrenching emotion do you want?

Looking back over the years, I've had far more kick-the-cat moments with England than I have with Rovers.

The problem with England is the hope, because it always promises to be fulfilled but never is. With Rovers, I do not expect to reach the promised land, so I am never disappointed.

prem title ,worthy cup winners ...JIM YOU REALLY DO TAKE THE PISH.

WHAT WOULD YOU LLIKE US TO WIN BEFORE YOU ARE CONTENTED?

  8. at the end of the day we was served up a bag of @#/? last season and if people think that the major signings weve made will make punters change there minds and buy new or renew season tickets are living in cuckoo land .At the end of the day the bottom line is footy is a means to be entertained and last season was about as enternaing as someone having a curry and being in a lift the following day and it breaking down.
