You won’t know me but Ive been a member of BRFCS for many years. Not a poster but an avid reader who enjoys the views of others. Thought some would like to know why I got ejected from the ground today in the nicest possible way 😃. My routine is to go from the riverside to BBE with 10 mins to go to sometime celebrate a late winner 🤷‍♂️. Deluded I know! Entered BBE today as usual. Came out of BBE toilets and steward was waiting and told me I had been seen on cameras re-entering the ground and I had to leave. After “discussion” the jobsworth called the head steward. The Head Steward was very pleasant and candid. He explained the club have changed their policy and won’t allow re-entry because some supporters have brought Pasha Out banners into the ground! My conversation with the Head Steward was amicable and so I followed his rules but said I would take this further. In my experience in grounds around the country over many years people have been allowed in for free once the gates are open. This was an event I have a season ticket for! I don’t have any agenda in sharing this but disappointingly it does reinforce what other’s have said about the thin skinned nature of our clubs current culture 😱. I can understand our club wanting to prevent confrontation but once they had established I wasn’t interested in confrontation it’s surprising that common sense didn’t apply. 🤷‍♂️ What a sad position we’ve got to 😱🤷‍♂️. ps now thinking about the smokers who have to leave the ground at HT for a cig. Will they now prevented from re-entry? 😱. I don’t think so.
