So now that I've slept on it these are my feelings. I'm certain we would have won the match had it not ended at 79 minutes. However, its the clubs fault that the match had to be abandoned, proven by the fact we were the only club who had to abandon a match in the football league. Lancashire is a very wet area of the country, you have to have a proper drainage system for football grounds, otherwise this will continue to happen. As its out fault, as much as it sucks, the game should be replayed, we failed to properly host a football game, so the result cant be decided at 80 minutes.

Because that's not the criteria for qualifying, the tournament is every 4 years, so its based on how well teams have done in continental competitions over the previous 4 years.

There aren't many things that will unite fans from all clubs but this is one of them. Truly awful news.

Yeah I think they'll need to rethink how teams qualify for the tournament for next time round, if you want the tournament to be taken seriously you cant have teams ranked 5074 in the world taking part while the likes of Liverpool and Barcelona sit at home.

Figured I'd start a topic for this seeing as it starts tonight. Anyone else planning on watching this? I reckon it's gonna be a really good tournament, I think teams are going to take it seriously. I feel no affinity towards City or Chelsea so I've decided to follow Bayern for the tournament seeing as our England captain is leading the line. Looking forward to seeing Messi tonight on the world stage again.

Doesn't change my opinion of him at all. Absolute legend for what he did for us keeping us up almost single handledly. Not gonna hate on him for having ambition, sadly something our club lacks. If he plays against us he'll get a warm reception from me.

There's a tonne of appeal. A club with ambitious plans, promoted three years in a row, has global exposure and willing to spend. They have a better chance at promotion than us and will be nowhere near the bottom half of the table.

Just throwing it out there, anyone think Paul Mullin could do a job for us at this level with him being out of favour at Wrexham?
