We need to do the usual around this time of year, kidnap him and lock him in a cupboard in a secret location for 72 or so more hours until the window closes.

Why do you care about the price? Is it your money?

    🤔

Adequate money to invest in an adequate replacement or two?

When you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.

I am afraid we will get the same as what we got for Rothwell, Lenihan, & Nyambe.

He needs to go in this window.

We don’t need the risk of an injury or a drop in form diluting the price.

Plus the ability to pre sign a contract  in January and all the head games that go with that.

I count our blessings that Jack Walker didn't see us as a project. I like Tomasson but I thought he had more about him than that. We are a professional football club and everything revolves around what happens on the pitch. Stagnation will set in if they are setting a multi year target. I currently see very little happening to indicate to me we are to improve on last years final position.

In fairness Jack did see us as a project. It was his pet project. The stars aligned. He made very good money, He had a vision for Rovers and from the ground to the training facilities, to the manager, he went for the best. It took time, and project management, but his burning ambition and passion for the club made all the difference. Yin and Yang.

Time for Ash Phillips to show us what all the fuss is about it seems... we'll be right behind you lad, do us all proud. And search youtube for Phil Jones v Drogba for invaluable lessons on how to handle yourself as a youth in a man's game. 👍

If you are good enough, you are old enough.

In a normal football world, you'd want to kick off a new season with new signings all in place and embedded in to the club so you hit the ground running with the players raring to go, competition for places high and your strongest possible team out on the park. Why we cannot do this is a mystery and why anyone should think it is acceptable is a mystery as well. It doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Trouble is everything is starting early because of The World Cup. Those managers in place at the end of the season had an advantage.

More games will be played this season before the window closes and managers will see who they need and don’t need. That’s when things will get hairy.

Boro and Sheff Utd have “gone ugly early” and will on this occasion reap the benefits.

We seem to have a lot of layers. Head  of recruitment, DOF, Waggott, JDT, and the Venkys layers.  I hope they have their job descriptions worked out before the window closes.

    He didn't say from Rovers.

I am not convinced Cantwell was ever likely to go anywhere, if indeed an interest was there. How are you so sure that it was real?

Absolutely. He isn't close to imminently leaving/hasn't got a club deep in talks with us like those other players aren't imminently coming here.

Options for Diaz  and us are narrowing.
