Indeed.... That's why I have a soft spot for Pears, as shit as he is, I do feel it's one of the toughest and roughest positions to play. Easily go from Hero to Zero within minutes. On Pears, I do think he is a capable number 2, but we do need a much more commanding goalkeeper as the 1. He just doesn't handle that area of his with authority, and I can't remember when I've seen him come out strongly to corners or set pieces, and just clear out anybody in his path

Of course we could, but some fans make you believe, that Sammie would have thrown his toys out, and this was the last chance saloon at PL football. I still believe, that those reasons, should not be enough to force us into a sale, unless our valuation has been met. This was the same for Adam Wharton, or any other player under contract

I don't know, but perhaps a season long loan deal..could run that flank, and get Ryo, Yuki, Weimann and MG on the end of some good scoring chances

Off topic, but I was just looking at these 2 seasons. Just in terms of attendance under Sparky, and it shows, put a good squad together, and the fans will come out. Okay Venkys is still the odd one out here, but I hope the next week or so, we can find some good additions, where the fans are ready to get behind

The best teams are the ones with the best goalkeepers. That's why my team that I played in was so dam good 😉

For me, the success rate of Japanese players playing abroad, and in England, gives me hope. I've not seen a Japanese player, whose work rate is lacking..even if Ryo doesn't score plenty this season, he can still play in various positions, plus he is another body that we need.

Like I said, perhaps it's the thinness of the squad, and he has been asked to do something he is not comfortable, that he has looked poor. We have to make some signings, to round out this squad better

It could just be, that because the squad is so thin right now, that the extra work load is catching up fitness wise..but, that shouldn't be after only a few games

If he can't beat out JRC, then I don't know. JRC shouldn't be a starter, but such is the weakness at the moment of this squad, that had 2 poor games, might continue to start
