  1. I think that those who expect a lot of transfers in might become very disappointed. IF the owners/Waggot went for Gregg Broughton because of his previous experience and great work at Bodo Glimt we will focus on developing our own academy players. This was how Gregg worked at Bodo Glimt. He nurtured and developed Bodo glimts own talent and made a football academy with a cat 1 status (top tier). Glimt then sold many of the talented players for big money and today they are continuing bringing up new players despite selling their best. They are one of the richest clubs in Norway and tonight they play champions league qualifier against Dinamo Zagreb which can bring them 20m in the bank account if they qualify. Its an adventure.

I think GBs job is to put a structure in play which lays the same foundation, a common playing style so that if you change manager you now who to pick because he has to fit a specific style. Later on in player recruitment you know much better where and who to look at.

  2. Hopefully we step up and give a response on wednesdays dross.

want to see us Line up like this:

Kaminski, Brittain, Philips, Ayala, Pickering, Edun
    Buckley Travis Morton
    Gallagher Diaz

Sheff U have a very good midfield and we were overrun there against Reading. They also like to have Wingbacks high up the pitch and we need to address that. Buckley, Travis and Morton are more than capable of switching play and finding pockets in the channels for Diaz to run in. A bit concerning that Gally doesn't have much space.

No point having all these centre halves coming in when Pickering is the left back. We are as strong as our weakest link.

I agree Cambridge. At CB we have Ayala, Wharton, Carter and Philips. No need for more CBs (maybe one). We need a back who can play both left and right. We also need another striker/winger.

However I don't want many incomings that puts our own young players in the background. This is a fundament we have built these last years and even though the results are a bit jojo we have a squad with a lot of our own academy players to be proud of.

Yesterday was really really bad, but they will learn from it and credit where its due. Ince produced a masterclass against us.

  4. When people are takling about Sammie Szmodics I think people are ignoring GB´s comments:
"When he was played centrally for the final 10 Championship games of last season, we saw Sammie recreate his form from League one, with four goals and an assist, along with both the creative and psychical metrics of an attacking midfielder who will add a different dimension to the group"

I think he can be played up top as striker - ala Bellamy

  5. I do agree with you in the sense that a proper training and fitness regime leads to less injuries.Just saying that in that instance the injuries at Bolton didn't have much to do with the way Coyle was training then,Holden had his leg broken in a match if memory serves me correctly.Hopefully with Chris Neville being involved with the fitness and conditioning side of things then we should be ok with the fitness of the squad.
