  1. Players need time in the team to show ability..... not 5 mins here and there!!! Thats at all levels, including some of the best strikers in world. Lets be honest, the reason hes not playing him is because he's not one of "keans signings". Feel sorry for the lad.

    Wow. Whose signing then ?

  2. Dont know if this is only for the Blackburn area, but me and my wife are going to London.

Last time we where there we went to Maze in Mayfair (Absolutely fantastic!), Busaba (gorgeus and spicy thai meal), J Sheekay and a lebanese at Edgware Road.

This time we are living next to Edgware road underground station and I would like some advices about where to dine when we are in London. We are not the richest of folk and I would prefer not too expensive restaurants. Maze was expensive, but something we had to try.

  3. The big threat is most likely to come from Germany IMO.

La Liga is the SPL on steroids and Italian football probably has too many issues.

Maybe they have to many issues and maybe there were a bunch of 0-0 matches - the latter being an indicator of an even league.

Seeing the celebration, the hard tackles flying, the skills almost everything during the Lazio - Roma game was fantastic. Liverpool - United was very dull in comparison.

I also saw Napoli vs Parma Saturday in a 2-2 match. Very entertaining.

Also saw Werder Bremen - Boruissia Dortmund on Friday. Many up and coming talents like Götze, Grosskreutz, Kagawa, Gundogan and Marin.

The Premier League is slowly losing its advantage.

  4. This weekend I've seen 2 of the biggest rivalries in European football.

Liverpool - United and SS Lazio - FC Roma

The Premier League is touted to be the best league in the world. The first 45 minutes between liverpool - united was very very boring - almost fell asleep. The match was ordinary. Not much skills, hard tackles and big decisions.

Lazio vs Roma on the other hand. CRACKING football match! There are now 7-8 teams able to fight for the best places in the league. Lazio, Roma, Napoli, Inter, AC Milan, Palermo - maybe others.

Premier League have to be careful. The love for the big 4 is slowly killing the league day by day, year by year.

  5. Spring 2006 at the James Joyce Pub in Madrid.

Me and my friend the only two Rovers fans in a packed pub all other were United Supporters.

We got some abuse during the game from all the supporters.

We end up winning 4-3 after a hat-trick from Bentley who had signed his contract the same day. The pub empties. Only two left me and my friend celebrating.

Getting home to the apartement where my other roomie was (didnt like him that much) who had been sat in his room follow live text updates (PLASTIC SUPPORTER!!!!). Made him cry when we came home singing Rovers songs and making fun of him calling him plastic supporter etc.

GET IN WHAT A NIGHT !!!

Also the 0-3 win at JJB Stadium 1st of Jnauary 2007. What a start on a new year! We were hungover as hell after partying to the middle of the night in Liverpool. Then woke up and got to a pub in Wigan and another one next to JJB Stadium where we met a lot of nice Rovers supporters.

The striking similarity between all my visits watching Rovers is that Rovers supporters are Englands nicest supporters (Nothing like people are on this MB) and we all feel very very very very welcome!

  6. How did it go yesterday Oklahoma?

The title race in Spain is still on after both Barcelona and Real Madrid winning their games.

In Italy the title race is also still on after both Rome (2-1 against Parma) and Inter (0-2 against Lazio) won their games. Quite remarkable that the Lazio supporters were celebrating an Inter victory, because it will mean that Romes chances to become champions are weakened and Inter still has a 2 point lead. Lazio themselves are struggling to not get in the relegation zone.
