    Really, based on what?

He doesn't have a single redeeming quality in my eyes. To say he's decent at this level is probably as much of an exaggeration as saying he's the worst player ever to play for the Club.

I'd argue that up to last 18 months, he probably was around champ standard.

The last 18 months he's been absolutely useless... at any level.

Which only makes any sense if your primary objective is to develop players rather than to have success on the pitch. Fine for a chicken farm, but all we will do in football terms is become a blue and white Crewe.

I'd say thats exactly where we are heading. Said it a few weeks ago.  First team will be made up the better academy developed players on low wages. Like an under 23 side. All of whom will have a 'for sale' sign round their necks.

The under 21 side is where any 'investment' in players will go.  Just like the lad we tried to sign from Rochdale.

Its the only model that makes sense under these owners.

Would have been a bit of a coup if they'd managed to pull the O'brien transfer off,and would have made it a successful transfer window.

The recruitment team did it's job, I'll bet there were a few looking on with envy.

Real shame for it to fall down on technicalities, we probably won't get the chance again.

Here's hoping the appeal is a success.

Poor window even if O'Brien wasn't ballsed up.  Striker was the priority as mentioned by the manager  and they didn't deliver.  How can you claim the recruitment team did its  job?

  4. The only plan Rovers seem to have is the academy.

Clearly, in the next couple of years, we will have an under 21 side and our first team will essentially be an under 23 side-all on low contracts.

I thought the last window was poor but this one is on a different level of inept at seemingly every level of the club.

are Rovers to blame for that deal failing or is it Brighton fault for Undav deal not happening?

How was it gamble to move for Undav and Kone?

I am confident we will sign a striker before tomorrow deadline.

Yes they will do. They only be together 3 months and I think over the medium to long term we will see the benefits from our recruitment team.

But we have let down twice during this window by 2 different clubs.

There's only one club letting us down and its a bit nearer home.
