  1. The pod squad convenes to review November, reflect on Sir Kenny Dalglish, Bill remembers Brockhall and much, much more. Join us & see if you can Guess The Rover before the panel & one of the panel swears...twice...no, not that one...I know. 2. Oh that we had such influence...???
  3. Yup...oft discussed by @meadows & I ??
  4. For absolute clarity @Batman. I have made several appeals on here for people to contribute items to the podcast. Your robust & vigorous defence of Souness is exactly the sort of discussion that I think would make for an interesting article. By badging the pieces “Revisionist Rovers” & explaining that your reaction is exactly the sort of reaction we hoped to get as it creates an interesting debate, I thought my intentions were transparent. Seemingly not. My use of the “thinking face” emoji was my attempt to see if you would give it some thought, no more, no less.
  5. Do you fancy doing a rebuttal to Michael’s piece ? ?
  6. That’s the purpose of the “Revisionist Rovers” pieces in a nutshell. Look back, review, re-assess with the benefit of hindsight come to a conclusion and share your opinion...which may or may not provoke a discussion. I’d love for more people to come forward and contribute a theme of their choice & provoke some more discussion... *hint* ??
  7. A special edition podcast in which Ian Herbert chats with Football365 columnist & novelist John Nicholson about football writing, the anger in crowds, Tony Mowbray and Steely Dan View full record

Panelists Jen Bellamy, Linz Lewis, Mike Delap, Michael Taylor are joined by new "boy" Ian Futter, which means for once host Ian Herbert isn't the oldest contributor. 14. Great post Scott...
  15. Funny you should say that...before we started recording I was explaining Radio Rovers to Darragh & Ryan & I said I was trying to recreate the “Wendy Howard insight into” type of piece but of course neither of them really had any experience of Wendy. Even to be mentioned in the same breath as Wendy will do me. ??
  16. Darragh was very easy to interview in fairness...open, engaging and amenable. I wish I’d had more time with Harrison, mature beyond his years and clearly well trained in media. I think it’s clear that our chat and my feedback inspired him to turn in today’s performance...?
  17. if I pull that one off I'll retire happy...?
  18. I just want to reiterate what I hope is blindingly obvious but even so, Rovers don't have to do this, the fact that we were invited & more by luck than anything else, were able to mobilise at short notice meant we were able to secure our first ever player interview...we hope it won't be the last and hopefully it gives us some credibility with former players who so far have resisted our siren song ?. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the club and especially Ryan Grant who secured "Friend of the Pod" status last year by guesting on one of our early episodes and we hope to get him back before Christmas on another. Thanks to "The Player" - no spoiler alert - for being so eloquent, so affable and so open with us in the 121 & for the "other player" who demonstrated excellent media skills. We hope you enjoy it...not sure how we improve on this if I'm being honest but we'll keep on trying....because that's what we do...?
