Really good half the concern is that you wouldn’t expect Newcastle to be as bad again second half

Got to give Murphy some credit, can’t stand him normally but he could have been far more cutting about the club he was actually relatively fair saying we deserve better

And it should have been. The look on Adam's face is almost like he's expecting to be sent off.
But he wasn't so let's enjoy the moment. 😂😂
You can take the boy out of Blackburn...............
You’d certainly expect to see a yellow for that in the premier league these days

Love to see it but at 0-0 it could have been really bad for him if the ref had seen fit to give a second yellow

Seen the highlights and two lovely goals for us (weak keeper for first mind) and their first is a stunner but the second is awful the keeper has to do better
I would have taken a point before kick off and after it went 2-2 but still it’s disappointing to give up that lead so easily
Feel Gally is going to be huge for us and we need him in form

Argh can’t believe we didn’t snatch an undeserved point there you couldn’t ask for a better chance
Shocking all round and a waste of an evening

2 minutes into stoppage time and Pears boots a free kick out of play - ideal

Bad as it’s been this, shockingly bad.
Grind out the season and then try and work out a plan!

I presume my stream is just stuttering because I’d swear I saw Pears start to dribble it out then just stop and abandon the ball

That’ll do, win ugly and see this season out, get rid of the parasites somehow and start over

Very well might look back at that save as the reason we stay up
I’ve genuinely never expected us to go down to be fair

Wow Pears stepping up

Good luck to him
love that we made a statement of ‘we will not be making a comment at this time’
Then immediately followed up with this ‘news’
Looks like Benson may keep his job if he’s only bringing in an assistant

Benson survived again?
Given they didn’t say anything about interim manager you’d assume the next announcement is coming tonight

To be absolutely clear I had no idea what the meeting was about or who was attending other than knowing Waggott had called it. I didn’t know five players would be there. There was a moment when I said to @Herbie6590 I might be going down for a telling off… I even said we might be getting sued here. There was zero agenda or format.
There is of course a risk of being used for PR, but I had two options:
1) Attend, find out what it was about, report back what I can.
2) Don’t attend.
I’ll maintain you did right to attend and give it your all
Things can be spun either way and I think the PR risk is tangible but at the same time ‘we tried to engage with fans who didn’t want to’ is also spinable
Any frustrations are at the regime not the players or fans

Was my initial reaction with someone else brought in to help the coaching side of things. My guess would be david Dunn.
Please no

FWIW I also think it’s not a great look by Roverschat saying effectively ‘tune into our next podcast to hear all about it’
At this point in time tomorrow is light years away and discourse is needed now

We have plumbed new depths today. A meeting between supporters and players facilitated by a man who is really scraping the barrel. Players moaning because they heard some booing? I really am struggling to come to terms with the happenings and events of the last few days. I remember when several of the Fans Forum went to India. Over the months and years after some of them said they had been used as a publicity stunt. I can't help feeling the same right now as Waggott has run out of ideas and is using fans in a way that makes me uncomfortable.
I was one of those people that went to Pune, I also spoke along with Tris formerly of this parish at uncle jacks the week after and shortly after left the fans forum as I didn’t think it was the right vehicle to approach the challenges faced
We were used as a publicity stunt 100% I saw it first hand but we tried which is why I won’t berate anyone for trying
But I share your fears, even things like the fact other things were discussed but can’t be disclosed is going to cause discontent

Said on twitter but I’ll repeat here I will never blame any fan for doing what they think is right and taking a chance to voice concerns, I learned in 2011 that a lot won’t agree with that.
However on the face of it todays meeting feels very odd, I take solace in the fact we had some great guys there representing the fans but worry how it can be spun by those that want to, the comments from it have already potentially given ammo to dissenters.
That leak is very bizarre as well
Never quite known anything like the last few days

Be good to hear some first hand accounts of the meeting today, the whole thing is just bonkers

If I was JDT I’d be doing what I can to ensure I’m leaving the club. Whilst he was great last season and could be a great manager he’s actually failing a bit at his current task.
The current circus is a great foil for him to escape before he’s wearing clown makeup himself.
He leaves now he can continue his career, give it much longer and he risks leaving as a perceived failure

For what it’s worth the telegraph now saying it’s expected that he’ll leave before the weekend

One question people want answers on I think is key, when you submit I presume there is some force feedback, an email confirmation, anything.
I know if I book a flight or buy tickets I’m not content until I see the confirmation land.
Does this happen, if so surely we would be checking it?

Utterly ridiculous
The timeline of events shows we probably never really wanted it to go through. It was their side that prompted the loan agreement after they saw the Wharton deal was going through they rang Broughton rather than the other way round.

Yet the BBC felt moved to talk about why, which is the objective
Shame it wasn’t more but the criticism there has to be at non participants rather than those that did
