Weird take. He did well.
Not for me. Lightweight in the challenge and lost it on a couple of occasions under minimal pressure, played safe when he had possession sideways or backwards and hit the 1st man with poor deliveries on the couple of occasions he was on the overload on the right.
I'm pleased for the lad to make his debut and I will say he never hid unlike the lad he replaced but I'm not sure he'll make it as a regular at this level or bring in any money for the shithouses in charge.

Sorry, he seems a decent lad, but if Montgomery is the benchmark of our Academy 'starlets' then that business model can be binned.
You just know that'll be one of the main soundbites from the goons in charge though.

Joe Cheesestring Costello injured - again!
He's a bottler is that lad. Mind you he's among friends on that pitch.

Laughable stuff.
There's absolutely nothing on that pitch. Nada. Zero, while Pishmael stands motionless on the touchline.

Not exactly what you're seeking but valuable all the same. The link to the story I posted above is worth opening if you havn't.
There were about 230 comments on the BBC's account of our Boro loss at the time I posted. What struck me was the sympathy extended to us by fans of other clubs (not Burnley though! but there was a Preston one!) These fans can see what we are going through and warmly wish us the best in taking on Venkys.
That's worth a lot to me. They understand better than some of our own fans! But we are not alone.
Time to get an MP/ex-MP or two on board again I think. MP's speaking in parliament cannot be sued remember.

Tim Farron is still pretty outspoken on X.

Fair play to ex Dingle Iwelumo there. When pressed on if abuse towards Pissmael was justified he said yes.

I mean, he just wouldn't.
I could count on one hand the number of managers that would have lost their job within a similar time frame.
Michael Appleton and Henning Berg?

I wonder if we conceded those 2 early goals because we wanted to win too much?

Ironically Rovers are careering down a mountain while you watch that

He might get sacked tonight , a deflection tactic by Waggott and CO
Along with Gestede as they can blame him for the appointment as well leaving Curly and Larry blameless.

It's only 2-0 because Boro have took their foot off the gas. If they really fancy it they could get 5 or 6 no bother.

So open in that midfield. 2 simple straight passes and they're onto our back 4. It's almost like we've had a couple of red cards.

Should have put this in a double with Jonbon. 2 bigger certs you couldn't wish for.

Don't know about you but I'm loving this high press and possession based football.

'Exciting times' in the summer with 10 players out of contract.
That's on a par with when Kean said exactly the same right after us being relegated.

I did answer by saying I ain't playing these silly fecking games.
Eustace also had winnable games he didn't win last season. Or he didn't win winnable games this season like Plymouth away or Stoke at home?
No point saying another pointless argument is there
You're bang to rights on the Stoke game. As I recall there was only you who kept arguing that point at the time but now you want to downplay him you change the narrative.
You have got some front I'll give you that.

I would have lumped Facebook in with the LT comments at one point… not anymore, that constituency has turned, and quickly.
Apart from that patronising Thomas Freddie pillock.
I genuinely think he needs sectioning.

I think I said him and Wagner were the sort of appointment I expected us to make cos an European head coach would be more happy with our management structure(Gestede and Owen) and lets the recruitment department do their job
I think its been a very poor start in terms of points, yesterday and Norwich game, they were certain aspect I could see what we wanted to do. Derby game was awful and the players performance in the first 10 minutes and second half cost us massively. We don't created enough chances or put the ball into the ball enough for me.
I agree mate. We definitely need to put the ball into the ball more.

What a week of football presided over by Pishmael. I knew he wouldn't be any good but by Christ he's plumbing depths I didn't think possible.
3 1/2 year deal - laughable.

With Pismael already talking about the summer squad rebuild you can bet we're rolling over in this one.

On the new manager thread I labelled him a poor man's John Beck. I've seen nothing to change my mind on that apart from maybe apologising to John Beck.

Not good enough, not creating enough, too deep and not enough balls into the box for me, when you got Ohashi and Gueye on the pitch, too slow in possession. not enough pressure on their goal for me.
Cantwell and JRC forced 2 smart saves from Johannsson tonight, we didn't do enough shots or chances created.
on their goal, stupid pass from Hyam, no reason to take such a risk.
Subs no impact attacking wise.
my team for Saturday is Pears; Brittain, Hyam, Carter, Ribeiro; Travis, Tronstad; Dennis, Ohashi, Dolan; Gueye
You were doing so well and then you picked Dolan to start the next game.

Hopefully that puts Sheffield United deep in the shit. They gambled big on going up this season and it could lead to troubled times there.
Good.
