None of the above. It's more likely to be scenario 4: Don't bang yer arse with the door on the way out. GB is 'ahem' 'forced' to capitulate to the dark lairds' wishes to cut costs to the bone, and anyone with a pulse and drawing more than minimum wage is allowed to leave the club for whatever a willing bidder will offer. We wake on Feb 1st with a playing staff consisting of five thirteen year old wonderkids from Accy Stanley, the club cat and a picture of Noel Brotherstone. Waggott, conspicuous in his continued presence, appears before the local press bleating on about how the modern game is misunderstood by those on the Blackburn Omnibus, who would be well advised to read the same trade journal from which he has constructed his rise to riches (tea-cup rinsers weekly).
Selling players at this stage of the season would be tantamount to throwing the towel in and opening the seacocks to scuttle the ship by design. Hands off cocks, on socks, I say.
You da man Codger!
Love your prose mate, I assume you are under a new moniker, what were you previously known as?

Set pieces are always reflective of coaching on the training ground. Those numbers do not reflect well on Tomasson at all.
Agreed.
But they reflect worse on the 'set piece coach'

We’ve conceded more set piece goals (12) than any other team
Only QPR (2) have scored fewer set piece goals than us (3).
Sorry mate, these stats are irrelevant when you compare them with Kaminski saying he was a great bloke.
Benson and Pongo Lowe, the Morecambe and Wise of football coaching.

There’s a million questions which need answering right now, but another one to add to the list is why on earth we’ve brought in this second Brighton kid when he didn’t get a kick again.
Just stockpiling other clubs youngsters regardless if they’re good enough or if we even need them.
It's a poor do when your recruitment strategy starts and ends with the Brighton loan manager's number

Nah you can't just take away szmodics from him. Give him stick cos some of these signings aren't upto it at all but he pulled the trigger on szmodics.
I'm sure Waggott said the egg didn't fancy Szmodics?

There needs to be more of a spotlight on this so called DoF and his recruitment.
If he didn't really want Szmodics last year then what are his successes? The 2 he has brought in so far this transfer window look unimpressive so far and, added to the shambolic summer recruitment, his overall performance on that front is pretty dire.
JDT is hardly covering himself in glory but the tools at his disposal (and I use that word deliberately) are hardly helping. It's about time the mute bald headed shithouse found his voice and communicated the plan, if there is one.

Cos he smiles a lot and has played in the World Cup mitigates the fact that he is a shit head coach. Add in his condescending attitude to everyone who questions him by deflecting his answers to the “new coach”. He wins some people over. Not me. Fucking clueless. He has no fucking idea how to set up a team not to concede. Oh for Howard Kendall
A shit 'head coach' or a shit head 'coach'. I can go for either but I really need to know which you mean.

The next couple? We’d barely get 30 points next season with more players sold and more kids on loan brought in.
Bring on administration, honestly, anything to get rid of them.
Sadly, I completely agree on the first point and on the 2nd, I'm coming round to that idea.

I'd say we just need to get to 50 points asap but it's only rinse and repeat until the inevitable relegation in the next couple of seasons.
What the hell have we become.

How the hell is a near 35 year old going to fit into a high intensity pressing style of play?
What a load of shite.

We don’t even help ourselves either - I mean how many goals come from losing the ball in our own half, sometimes own final third?
The bloke is either stubborn or stupid. Surely a plan B, when we’ve a makeshift defence, would involve clearing your lines first if we’re deep in our own half being pressed.
Absolutely no chance of that. Opposition managers have figured out “if we give them the ball, they’ll more likely hurt themselves”
Abso fucking lutely.
That back 4 just can't play out from the back. Every goal they scored stemmed from our piss poor fannying at the back. Scotty Wharton is a big solid lad who will win his share of 50-50s bit he will never be a ball playing centre half while he has a hole in his arse.
Hyam has regressed to non league standard and if Brittain had a flag it would be a white cross on a white background. Add to that a keeper with no discernible goalkeeping attributes and it's a heady mix of going the fuck down.
Shite.

So proof, if it was needed, that Waggott is a proper shithouse.

We’re definitely signing a striker this window. That’s where the Travis money will be allocated.
Give it a few days and the recall of Jack Vale will be heralded as 'like a new signing'

Putting the transfer dealings from today to one side (I don't see Travis leaving as any kind of crisis move, btw), I have to say that I'm glad I don't have some of you lot in the trenches with me.
We're 8 points from the play off spots (and more points clear of the bottom 3), even after a horrendous run of form and yet I'm seeing comments about 'this season is an undoubted relegation battle', or 'it's all about staying in the league'.
We've got the same base of players we had, who finished 7th last season and lots of injured players due to return.
Yes, Venky's are a bag of dicks and run the club horrendously - nobody is disputing this.
But have a bit of backbone and a tiny bit of bloody fight in you, at the very least.
Relegation fight my white arse.Come on Andy, if the players and staff had the same heart and passion as the fans (even the most pessimistic on here) we wouldn't be in the mess we currently are.

Where would our esteemed DoF be without his little black book of PL Academy coach phone numbers?

How often do you read this message board out of interest?
Apologies. Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.
One of our self proclaimed ITKers used to trot the opposite out to quite the amount of (deserved) derision.

Struggling to believe this, are our owners refusing to sign cheques?

Travis, as a player, isn't bad but isn't great either. The problem here is that he'll be a hell of a lot better than the pile of dung that replaces him. That's if we even do replace him.

On a slightly related topic, I saw Keith Andrews in Hawksmoor restaurant in Manchester last week. He was in with all the Sheff Utd staff prior to them playing City - how the hell has he pulled that gig?

Unsackable gk coach, unsackable firs team coach. Welcome to the clown world
The retention of these 2 through various regime changes has always felt iffy to me.
I mean, look at the state of Stig of the dump Lowe, he wouldn't look out of place in a shop doorway yet he continues in employment at Ewood overseeing year after year of decline.

He decided to go back weeks ago and he didn't want to get injured. Big few months ahead for young James. We are a basket case.
That would suggest that, as I have suspected, all is not well within the squad and maybe the players have stopped playing for the manager? It would explain a lot.

Something afoot...
I thought it when he was left out earlier in the Christmas period. Surprised he played today to be honest because he's getting sold along with a couple of others - hence the Indian delegation at Ewood.

He's on the bench every match. I imagine if JDT and Remy go, he'll be caretaker.
Good, those leaks in the Riverside might get sorted then and he can give the stadium a power wash.

Indeed. "Balls of Steel" Buckley is exactly what we don't need in a relegation battle.

I bet we could have before Plymouth bought him in the summer yet we went for the unfit fat boy he replaced instead.
'Chaddy mode on' and yes I did suggest him at the time....
