The lad is absolute quality, another stellar performance from him tonight where he was head and shoulders the best midfielder on show.
It's looking a bigger and bigger mistake JDT snubbing him for large parts of the season as I believe he'd have been worth at least half a dozen more points this season.

I disliked the guy because he made many a comment belittling the club during his tenure despite the fact he was on the managerial scrapheap when we appointed him.

I used to think he was just effort and energy with nothing behind it. However, I think he is key for us now, I wouldn't want anyone else one on one with the keeper, he's a great finisher and he constantly stretches defences with intelligent movement.
He deserves his place as a fans' favourite.

He'd walk into this pathetic Spurs team

tell you what I hope for his sake that deal with the spanish club is signed and sealed otherwise the club might want to renegotiate his salary ⬇️ or even sack him off completely now they've seen the real BB.
He's just the epitome of a 'confidence player' without it he's dire
Yes, it has to be said, he's been woeful

Jesus!!! What a fucking header that is!!!!

Adam Wharton had to be selected but Gallagher?? He's a very lucky boy to be anywhere near that squad let alone first 11. He needs to repay the manager for his faith in him. Tonight.
-
As far as I'm concerned that's a must win game and you just can't be that passive and lacking intensity in such a game.
Bitterly disappointing but why the manager took Wharton out of that side and picked Gallagher is completely beyond me.

Playing like it's a testimonial

Just take Gallagher off he's fucking shite
-
Not good that, a basic lack of intensity throughout the side not helped by a fair few below par performances.

I hope he proves me wrong but my word Gallagher has shown no reason to justify his recall here.
Desperate for Wharton in the middle of the park to take the ball

For me he's miles ahead of anything we have technically. Look at the way he takes the ball on his back foot, half turn and moves it forward. He has no issue in receiving the ball when marked and is deceptively strong in possession. I agree his fitness needs working on but, blimey, we have some player on our hands with this lad.

Superb performance second half and unlucky not to get the win, just got to hope that is the catalyst for a winning end to the season.
If we continue to play like that we can still get top 6 as long as we can convert in front of goal. Yes, it's a big if but surely someone can step up.

Steve Waggott says he holds ‘operational oversight’ of Rovers’ business dealings after the club unveiled a new-look model ahead of the new season.
Blimey, that's a great gig. 'Operational oversight', sounds like he knows everything but holds no responsibility, I bet he can't believe his luck.
-
No ability to compete at the business end. All about desire and we have very little of that.

Huge half coming up. Let's see if the players have the bollocks to turn this around, I hope they surprise me.

No marble statues before the sale as far as I can remember. The place was unrivalled in the area before the sale IMHO
-
I tell you what is a crying shame though, the loss of the 'old' Spread Eagle at Mellor.
There really was nowhere to touch it locally before they sold it to Greene King.
Does anyone know if the old proprietors (and more importantly the chef) have pitched up somewhere else?

I'm booked in at Cartford Inn again in a few weeks time, not been for a while living outside the area, but looking forward to it, never fails to deliver.
I'll be honest with you, I've been a couple of times over the last 12 months and I think it's poor and overpriced

4/6 on bet 365.
Wonder if Waggott is on Skybet's payroll....

I'm not generally glass half full but blimey, some on here make Leonard Cohen sound optimistic.
Yes a shit result but not unexpected if we're honest. Still 8 games to go and if we win 4 we will make the playoffs, more than doable and we'd have to be odds on rather than against to make it.

Been a little while since I have been to an away game but I was delighted to see so many Asian lads at the game yesterday decked out in the colours and as passionate (and gutted at the end) as anyone.

Just back, very proud of the team today, if there is one thing JDT and thus group of players have done, it's to get that connection back with the supporters.
Two evenly matched teams and we were so so unlucky to come out of it on the wrong side but it is a horrible place to lose, as it was in '93 - shithouse club and fans.
Great support from us that made for a great atmosphere, the fans were a credit to the club today. Hopefully this kicks us on for the rest of the season rather than us dwell on the disappointment.

Don't know if anyone has seen the clip of the Dingle player parading the inflatable trophy in front of the Riverside last night post match, goading the rovers fans? Also good to see Kompany come over to him and push him away from there and apologise to the rovers fans.
Their players showed themselves to be a classless bunch post match whereas their manager was the exact opposite. We might not like who he manages but he went up in my estimation with that.
