  1. I'm not generally glass half full but blimey, some on here make Leonard Cohen sound optimistic.

Yes a shit result but not unexpected if we're honest. Still 8 games to go and if we win 4 we will make the playoffs, more than doable and we'd have to be odds on rather than against to make it.

  2. Just back, very proud of the team today, if there is one thing JDT and thus group of players have done, it's to get that connection back with the supporters.

Two evenly matched teams and we were so so unlucky to come out of it on the wrong side but it is a horrible place to lose, as it was in '93 - shithouse club and fans.

Great support from us that made for a great atmosphere, the fans were a credit to the club today. Hopefully this kicks us on for the rest of the season rather than us dwell on the disappointment.

Hoever will go back to Wolves. Pearson and Smallbone will go to PL club in the summer.

So then another rebuilding job there

JDT, Rowett and Edwards doing a better job then him.

Mate at work is a Stokie  he reckons all 3 will be signed as their FFP has been reset. They'll be bang up there next year.

  4. Great result and I thought, apart from poor finishing, we played well.

The worry of Morton replacing Buckley was unfounded as he was obviously told to play it quicker and our intensity levels were right where they needed to be from the get go.

I wouldn't have made the subs JDT made but they were spot on and Hedges in particular was excellent.

Just 4 more wins needed now.

You can see on the video, it’s a blow to the chest and he tumbled backwards, hitting his head on the floor that has done the damage, not a glass.

Still tragic no matter the circumstances.

But they weren’t attacked, they were the instigators and it led to this sad outcome. I understand this isn’t the first time this season, at this pub.

When will men and boys learn? I’m guessing never (as @goozburger said earlier)  but I have to hope. I have children - and grand children now - and I don’t want to worry every time they go to a match this might happen.

It's hard to pick out on the video, to be fair it looks like the bang to the head as he went down did for him

Agreed on the rest, just a tragic outcome.

They'll argue self defence....someone swings at you, do you retaliate or risk injury to yourself?

Surprised there wasn't more of a police presence there prior to the tragic event too, its a known hotspot most weeks after their games.

Yeah, it's well known to all, can't believe the police weren't there in numbers. The bloke who died is one of the old 'Muckers', one row too far for the poor bloke.

    I agree

in my opinion it is another lesson for people not writing off players too quickly. Plenty of talk has been had about him being a waste of money but looks like he’s really settled in both off and on the pitch

Yep, I was one who had written him off. However, in this pressing style where have suddenly adopted there is no-one better at leading it from the front. Add to that his knack of being on the end of good chances and I'm more than willing to admit I was wrong on him. In fact, I'd go as far as to say he's becoming a key player for us.

Not even sure why he’s smug, he’s failed everywhere he’s managed hasn’t he. Somehow got the Leeds job, albeit when they were a low point. Then got this job full of parachute payments out of nowhere.
    Best agent in the business

Edit: just looked it up and won promotion with Barnsley from L1. Not a clue how he’s got a gig that would be odds on to be in the Prem in a year or two.

Agreed, the guy is a complete nobody and got more jam than Hartleys to have got that gig. He'll be scratching around for something in the lower leagues when he's potted in the next 12 months.
