Don't think there's much doubt about Travis being sold.
Gossip around Brockhall is Tronstad wants out to go back 'home'.
Brockhall or Twitter?
Someone has posted this on Twitter earlier today

My main issue with Pears is he seems like an easy target. If a team is good at set pieces and can "stick it on him" he looks absolutely petrified, I think at this level a team having that over you is a risk that isn't worth taking.
As proved by his former manager who knew his weaknesses

I think it's a bit subjective. I've never rated JRC personally. Conversely I wouldn't criticise anyone for giving Buckley a 5 year deal at the time as again he looked like he was going to be the next big thing. I rate Scott Wharton and again wouldn't quibble about him having been given a long term deal at the time.
On the other hand at no point would I have been rushing to offer Pears or Pickering new deals, I don't think you can just hand contracts out to everyone carte blanche, you have to assess who's performing best for you and who has the most potential resale value and prioritise accordingly.
Mowbray was particularly guilty of handing out contract extensions to those who didn't warrant them.
Like Rashford at Utd sometimes players are on easy street when they sign long term contracts. They know they can be injured or drift out of form so they dont have to play. Then out of nowhere come the last year of their contract they rediscover their form and fitness to earn their mega buck new deal or move....any thoughts about Dolan playing well at the end of last year purely coincidental.
The only players who differ are those who have already got their new deals sorted such as Brereton or Rothwell as they dont need to.
Mowbray just kept his favourites sweet

I said ages ago Pears would be flogged for 1 or 2 million total deal and that's why they persisted with him to get development and value as high as possible as quick as possible.
It nearly led to a scrap with a couple on here such is the negative hysteria at times that clouds the reality of stuff.
I stand by it in fact i pray for it although big Val keeping Toth in might have hampered it a bit but we live in hope he's proven himself an average now quite experienced English Championship keeper.
I'm less confident about what will replace him.
Not really going to hamper. Isn't the same as Kaminski being shifted out by JDT?

We all know the politics, today is all about the football.
Today we support the team, we ignore the disease and enjoy living the dream.

Bristol City only two points in front so if they lose then we as we are, there will be two places still technically available

He looked best as false 9 under Mowbray. Sometimes as a ten, JDT, Eustace and Ismael seen him as number 10. They all played in centre midfielder..
Buckley needs to start playing regular and fulfill his potential. In the right team he would be the playmaker of the team
Which ever way he played as an attacker rather than central midfield.
JDT, Eustace and Ismael have played him centrally and look at the results, he cant play that position

Feeling very optimistic.
Rovers to win and clinch a play off place.
Who gave us a chance at Leeds or Leicester last season - this match reminiscent of the Leicester game with SU nowt to play for.
A 90% and a few players rested SU 1, a fired up Rovers 3.
Oh Shit!
Thats a defeat then!

He is for me, quite rightly the player of the season. It is no coincidence, how much we struggled, when he was either out injured or not 100% fit. His two goals V Millwall were a bonus, as for me, it’s his covering qualities and protection he offers the back 4 that are his real strengths. I can’t think of a better player in the Championship, who does that, although I do concede, my Rovers bias.
It is quite simple, if he was a yard or two quicker he would playing a lot higher up the pyramid.

It shows how important he is to the team that we start performing again once he’s achieved match fitness. Like one of two other players this season he was rushed back before he was ready. Him and Baath are the two we missed the most.
Thats the problem when you are over relient on your starting XI. Same could be said of Travis and Britain

But Woodrow can play as number 9 also..
Correct he is just as poor in either position. So could Dennis. Im sorry Woodrow to me offers very little

In normal circumstances I would expect Buckley to come on for Cantwell when he’s subbed off. Buckley’s been tried in the Travis/Tronstad role and he lacks the necessary diligence to play there.
Same can be said for JRC. The drift into midfield from full back was ideal as he does not know to stay in position when playing a set position of full back or central midfield

If we fail to get into the playoffs then not really. His first 7 games in charge (almost all against teams far below us in the table) will have destroyed what was otherwise a very attainable chance to get into the playoffs. Just one win against any of those teams would see us in 5th right now and with our fate in our own hands. Instead we have to rely on other teams, as usual. Those performances weren't just bad, they were absolutely appalling, and as the man at the helm he has to take some responsibility for that.
If we get into the playoffs, fair enough, he's proven people wrong. Otherwise it's a case of too little too late, unfortunately. We need a manager and a team who can play when the pressure is on, not just when they are the underdogs.
Problem is that he only continued the downward trajectory that already started, granted he accelerated it.
Also he wasn't the only coach that hadn't won against promoted sides away.
The ball stops above him but the coaches and players need to accept some responsibility

“The Dougie Freedman discovery”?
Fuck off Nixon.
Discovery is not the right word but Freedman moved when the opportunity came up and others didn't. From Palace's point of view Adam was a Freedman discovery

Much deserved award for Sondre.
I voted for Brittain who I think has been outstanding this season.
But there is 5 or 6 players who deserved to be in the top 3
Tronsdtat for me as he has played most games and of a constantly high std, if Brittain had a played a few more games then it may have been different

I think JRC isn't a right back for me, defensive not good enough. JRC might be better from the right side of the attack.
Buckley has a ten could be ideal for him or in 3 man midfield team
Buckley's best football was under Mowbray when he played no.10 so could be on the bench instead of Woodrow. JRC's best football was as an inverted full back which would require a major change in football philosphy not just a change of formation when subbing a player. This might work if playing against one up front.
I cannot see this happening under this coach so putting JRC on the bench is just waste as he a poor in a central two, defensively as a full back or put up against a full back out wide as a forward.

You need a centre back on the bench, plus a striker. Buckley and JRC played either position
Both have played the number 10 position. IMO Buckley's best football at Rovers when he played in that position

All I can say is that its no wonder that Macron didnt get the contracts!
