I don’t think his capabilities are being bigged up enough. I really believe he is a top level manager who would do wonders at a place where he got the backing to do what he needs to do and the transfers required to fit his system.  You can see with us, how he has us playing the quality he possesses he just doesn’t have the players to make it count. The fact he’s got us playing the way we do with kids out of the youth team and competing in the championship speaks volumes for me

Everybody is entitled their opinions , if you haven't got the players to play the system , you don't play the system..

  2. JDT with £12 million to spend would win the league..

I think JDT's management capabilities are being grossly inflated.

His record here , this year doesnt make good reading .

I agree , it would be a good move for him personally but if was a Rangers fan , I would be underwhelmed ..

I reckon we should all queue up outside the Blackburn end Tomorrow so they will need to deploy stewards and police there after all

In the  seventies, that's what would have happened and all hell, would be let loose . Messrs Bancroft , Keighley and Fox were true fans , not charlatans  and would never have allowed such sacrilege..

I honestly think the lapsed fans have gone. People can only take being humiliated so many times, I honestly believe this clubs decision tomorrow night will send some people away forever too.

The criminal thing that people like Waggott have failed to realise is you may have lost the vocal disgruntled fans which may please them, but they are doing absolutely nothing to bring on the next generation of fans.

The owners/Waggott are merely a custodian of the club yet they are seriously putting the future of the club in jeopardy.

    I don't think the owners/Waggott want future fans ..

They are just trying to undermine the will of the present ones...What's more they have been doing it for 13 years and they are winning hands down...

What is their end game ??

He is the best coach we have had since Hughes, if we don’t succeed, it won’t be down to JDT.

I have never been convinced by JDT ,some games I witnessed last season  were absolutely shocking ..

He was let down badly in the transfer window in January and again during the summer. I suspect he is

looking for a new job and who could blame him ?

His record here in 2023 is not very impressive ...

Cant see another Championship club wanting him, will probably go abroad and good luck to him !

I won't lose any sleep over it ...

    Venkys Out !!

Applying pressure to venkys, that's just not possible. They don't give a shit mate. They're safely ensconced in India, they're bomb proof.

Never mind promotion, I think relegation is inevitable in five years. It's a soul destroying experience, we're slowly having the tape turned off

5 years ?, got a feeling it will be this season or definitely next .....

Incidentally same 4-3 defeat scoreline as in the League Cup in the '80s when Ipswich were a top First Division side.

A full strength Ipswich couldn't cope with Simon Garner that night who tore the then England central defence of Butcher and Osman to shreds and beat Cooper in the Ipswich goal twice, struck for a third and rolled the rebound off Cooper for Windy Miller to score into an empty net.

Pretty certain Colin Talbot was playing for Ipswich that night but Arnold Muhren might not have been. Paul Mariner got the winner against a tiring Rovers late on.

There's only one Simon Garner !!!

I wish I had your optimism.

We looked so open at the back and in midfield, even with a decent goalie we could've still let in 4+ if they'd had their shooting boots on.

We're not gonna get anywhere near the playoffs if we continue to play like this.

Nothing new in that , 13 years and  not a sniff of the play offs !

Time the Venkys walked away ..

Pretty ironic that we get rid of Dack because he is injury prone and sign Ennis who is a known sick note among Plymouth fans.
It is always difficult to hit the ground running after injury as Winter approaches but Ennis and Siggie Stardust will need to do their magic pretty soon before the wheels fall off the Venkys charabanc.

Venkys make sure the wheels are falling off, always have done .

They make sure before the season starts , that the club is set up to fail....

Playing badly and still being able to win tends to be the sign of a good team (assuming they don't play badly all the time). Playing well and still not getting results... well, usually that doesn't end so well as confidence begins to ebb away. Taking last season's second half dip into account we've been struggling for consistent form for some time now. Venky's ruined our chances of seriously addressing this in the summer, so it's no surprise we aren't really any further forward.

    Venkys ruined Blackburn Rovers !!

    End of !
