The most positive way to look at this upcoming season for Vi is when the goal is to develop the youth and stay in the championship, Sheffield Wednesday’s not paying their players and Hulls not paying their transfer fees….so presumably staying up should be easier than most years.

I would not put money , on that !

Attempted to buy tickets for Everton and as a non smart phone dinosaur, the options for tickets delivery were Delayed Digital Ticket or Digital Ticket(NFC), is the print at home not an option anymore?

That is another nonsense, you should just be able to go and buy one from ticket office!

None of this print your own crap.

I've just had an email from the club about the car park facilities at the ground.

Looking at the parking info on the web site, it's £15 per game. FIFTEEN QUID!!!!!

It also appears that they're going to charge on non-match days....

On non-match days, the car park will remain open to visitors. Non-match day rates apply and are displayed clearly on signage throughout the car park.

Hopefully, complete madness hadn't taken over their minds, and we can still park for free for a while whilst we pop down to collect tickets, or visit the shop (assuming that it's actually open).

I have been going on Ewood since 1969, me nor my late father have ever paid to park a car. It is disgusting!

Have a feeling that the atmosphere by mid September at Ewood could quite quickly turn incredibly toxic -

Brittain already out the door and a foot into the next one
Travis and Tronstad likely have their bags packed ready

All three unlikely to be replaced by anyone of considerable value and direct impact on the team.

    A starting 11 likely of:

    Toth
    Duru Wharton Hyam De Neve
    Buckley Forshaw
    Kargbo Cantwell Hedges
    Ohashi

Can't see where the results will come from - and once we start losing it's amazing how quickly the ewood tide can turn its anger to Pasha, Gestede, Venkys and Ismael

If that is a regular starting eleven .

I can see Ismael ,walking in September !

I don't think he will be here come Feb 2026.

I think it's more that everyone expects wages to be included in the budget Venky's send each year, not reliant on players sales to fund. As you say they can afford to and just aren't but the outrage is justified.

Every other club manages to re-invest at least some of their outgoing transfer revenue into a transfer budget, we just use it as an excuse for Venky's not to send money.

Add to that, the fact that they seem to actively cutting the wage bill to save more money and you wonder what the point of owning the club is anyway.

    Another very good question !

I’ve never once said we have skint owners, we have disinterested shysters.

The point that seemingly is impossible for you and few others: Our biggest outlay is wages, aka money spent on the football team, the squad.

The accounts are facts. Nobody is arguing for or against their ownership here, the point is that the money made from sales is being used on the football side. If it isn’t, then where is it?

    Very good question !

Do you think all the other championship clubs don't lose money? No matter how big our wages are, no matter how much we spend in the market its a 20 million loss per year.

When we had Rhodes on 35k a week and other big earners and spent more than we do now then it costs the owners 20 million to keep the club running.

When we have one of the lowest wage budgets in the league and spend minimally on transfer fees and sell players for big money it still costs the owners 20 million to keep the club running.

    Why is this?

The answer to that question is probably the reason why the club ,has not  been sold  !

They would yes with plenty of options (as of now) but freak injuries and form needs considered. If rovers are fighting relegation or are indeed relegated that interest may not be as forthcoming

Relegation is a foregone conclusion this season ,I doubt we will get more than 30 points.

I suspect , none of the 4 players will be here on Feb 1st , my guess is 2 will leave in the last week of the transfer window , so we can not sign replacements .The other 2 in January , when we will be more or less down ..
