The LT, among other sources, is reporting that Rovers have interviewed Man Utd U21 boss Warren Joyce for the vacant manager's job at Rovers.
However, with the club reporting less than a week ago that Mike Cheston, FD and currently believed to be in charge of the day to day running of the club, is currently on holiday and with the back room staff currently seeming as depleted as the playing staff, it begs the question, WHO has is left around to interview him?
I wonder what JA is doing ?

Yes, more than a possibility ...

Is there no end to this Indian Farce ?

Great player and manager for the Rovers , wish we had his like today ! Thanks for the memories ..Bury 1980 what a night !

With all respect Parson with the present set up , we will be bottom of the old 3rd division in 2 years .....
Ken Furphy was appointed and things improved , well we need another KF now !
-
A good manager can improve fortunes immeasurably. One only has to look at Rowett at Birmingham to see that, it could even be argued that they've got worse owners than we have.
No club has worse owners than us !

It is August 30th and this thread has 8 pages already , how many pages will it have by the last game ?
1058 is my guess..

Well, after those 3 shockers, we did go on a 12 match unbeaten run, but typical of Bowyer 6 of them were draws, so no play-offs.
Yeovil !
When we never tried to win !
Bowyer will take us down , he has to be sacked !

Blackpool were managed by Ian Holloway who has left his last two clubs with them on the brink of relegation, something Bowyer has yet to 'achieve' in his career.
Hang around it is coming !

Both Burnley and Blackpool have been promoted from this league whilst starting as relegation favourites.
True , one slight problem though ...
Gary Bowyer was not their manager ...

I don't see things in black and white Abbey. Am I happy with the way things of gone since Venky's took over - clearly not. However, I'm enough of a pragmatist to realise that at the moment we need their financial support. Without it I honestly believe the club goes under. Others don't believe that which is fair enough but I do. Am I happy with mediocrity - again no. However, I also realise that at the moment we have to play the cards we are dealt and that means looking for free transfers and loans and making the best of it. Am I happy with the manager I would say in general yes. He has made mistakes and got things wrong but I firmly believe he has the best interests of the club at heart and until I see evidence to the contrary then I will continue to support him. However, what I feel or think has no bearing on anything as all supporters have differing views on most things surrounding the club at the moment. I still enjoy my football, I still enjoy following the Rovers up and down the country, I still enjoy the comradeship of going to games with friends and discussing the pros and cons afterwards.
On Sky Sports 1 now Parson , Portsmouth are playing Derby ....

Depends if Rhodes leaves , if he does it is 1st Division here we come !

500 Murphys to equal a Hildersley
Murphy is a disgrace to his profession !
Hildersley tried , I remember him scoring a brilliant equaliser at Shrewsbury ..
Murphy will be remembered for being signed by another con merchant by the name of Kean !
Not as good as the great Tugay but Howard Kendall was one of the best midfielders I have seen to wear a blue n white shirt !
A man who really could put himself about !
What we would have given for him this afternoon ..
-
Didn't know him personally ,remember seeing him at many grounds all over the country through the 80s and early 90s ..
RIP
-
Another total waste of money , by Kean
-
He is not good enough , but one can hardly blame him for wanting to leave the circus !
-
Funny I can't help but think this idiot could sign Man City I'd I'd still put money on him getting us relegated.
I will go further kean could manage Spain and they wouldn't even qualify for the World Cup he is that inept !
Good signing, 4 year contract is a bit much though - he might be deadwood after 3 seasons! Now how about signing some defensive cover! We look awful at the back!
Not as awful as we look in the dugout !
Kean must go for the club to progress SIMPLES !
-
Good foil for Simon Garner for a couple of seasons , not a great goalscorer but contributed to the team effort ...
From a day when the Rovers was run by people who cared....
Bobby Saxton , Bill Fox etc , etc what must they think about our present set up ?
Probably un printable !
RIP
Chris

A very sad day for football ....R I P
-
I have been busy all day , just got a text saying Jensen sacked ...Without scrolling through the pages...
WHY JENSEN and not KEAN or BOTH of THEM???
-
I remember losing to Crewe in the FA cup 2nd round at home in 1972 or 73 , not very old at the time , I think an ex Rover scored for Crewe ..
-
Finally he is on his way. However,he was the most prolific striker that we had on our books. Lazy yes the question is who can we get to replace him.
Beattie is an average footballer who has not set the world alight. Eider again not a goal scoring forward we need somebody who can come in and
score a few.
Some good news breaking on Sky Dunn has signed an extension until 2012.
Mc Carthy has scored 1 league goal all season ...........Lazy ,not interested should have gone 2 years ago ...Good riddance!!!!
-
One of the few decent players to wear the shirt ,when I first went on the hallowed ground ..
Late 60s
Remember him in the Plymouth 5-2 game best !!!!
Rest in Peace Don

The Axe isn't Barton, is he? There are very, very few footballers I'd be vehemently against playing for us. Barton's one of them.
In terms of ability, Barton's better than our other options, but the numerous negatives that come with that ability totally negate it. The thought of our club paying someone like him wages to supplement his lifestyle makes me sick.
Couldn't agree more ..........Rather play with 10

78 very similar got a manager nobody wanted .....
But at least the board acted after relegation and we got Howard Kendall....Unlike today..
