  1. TM wants keep ball sideways and backwards he's terrified of a direct forward running player giving the ball away - as if the others don't - !

So he's always going to use the likes of Chapman sparingly even if he was in hot form. Much more likely to be an impact sub at best it's just not in this gaffers DNA unless his back is against the wall. Think we have to accept that and i think Chapman knows his card is marked hence his attitude issues.

I've been to Newcastle St James Park under Hughes, Kean, Coyle. I remember Derbyshire scoring the last minute winner. Great scenes that. Followed by best night out ever. But their fans werent loud at all. When we won there under Coyle, Their fans were moaning and groaning in the first half of that game at their side poor performance. We played really well that day.

They are no different to anyone else when things aren't going well in fact they get angry very quickly.

Iv'e seen the ground a quarter empty there before full time on more than one occasion. Deafening when they are on top, deafening silence when not.

  3. Just a thought on Williams but he told Mowbray last summer he only wanted to be considered for CH from then onwards. He had his chance did ok and poor then got dropped, got injured and that was that.

Possibly the manager sees him still more as a left back and they don't see eye to eye on it so it's a bit of a stalemate. Doubt he  wants to be 3rd or 4th choice CH at his age but that's what he is now so it maybe a good time to part ways.  If he'd do 3rd/4th choice CH and LB cover he's worth keeping otherwise time to move on.

If we got a fee for him it's got to be worth it.

  4. Ewood is flat on matchdays, far too flat but the football is mostly flat as well which doesn't help neither does the often disjointed line up and dull approach to games.

Over the last 10 years the life has been sucked out of the club, the BBE used to be the heartbeat of Ewood but it's just like any other stand now. The lack of wisdom in alienating the DEnders instead of trying to fuel it has all but killed it now.

It can still be good on its day but Rovers fans have always been a bunch that needs to see something from the team and management and in turn they'll get them over the line when they are up for it. Going around the country you are visiting grounds that don't have 20 thousand empty seats and stands miles away from the pitch. The ground in general at Ewood has always been poor for atmosphere unless there is a lot in.

    Total nonsense though.

Conflating raw numbers (that one club big cities like those two should have) with passion.

As soon as any player, fan, pundit comes out with anything like that you know they are thick cretins with very little knowledge of anything outside of their blinkered existence.

Standard patronizing football claptrap, when Batty signed signed he praised the club, town and fanbase as being very similar to Leeds just not as big. Midway through his time here he seemed to get a bee in his bonnet and take a dislike to everything and since he retired the way he's totally shunned the game & clubs that probably made him a millionaire shows the oddball he is.

A competitive, handy dirty little shit to have on your side but never in a million years a great player.

  6. Had a mooch round yesterday when passing and there's plenty weeds around the gaff and it's not a good look it probably looked worse on those photo's.  A structure like the JW stand should never have weed and green strewn areas around it though lets be honest.

There was a couple of blokes with a van and trailer cutting the hedge between the car park and Bolton Road which was a mess in itself so perhaps the clean has begun. There was also a a long box van with foreign plates and ramps out the back where they access the maintanence gear. A delivery of new equipment ?  More investment elsewhere or are they coming from foreign climbs just to mow our pitch now ?

Then again maybe it was delivering the new keeper, must be a big lad !

  7. We are going to have to bite the bullet with the strike force now as sooner or later that kind of money spent will have to be justified. The main issue is the manager getting them in a system that suits them, that's the biggest challenge.

Get out of jail card is Dack will hopefully be back at some point to pull us out of the proverbial if he can't get a tune out of BB & SG.

If it all goes to pot Mowbray should fall on his sword simple as that but there'll be a raft of other excuses and reasons.

  8. A bloke was telling me about the ammonia thing a few years ago he said it was always rough at the seaside. Also mentioned something about a rovers fan who used to go to these games in a long trench coat with a machete inside it.

Crazy stuff these wannabes now don't know how safe they've got it hurling abuse from behind rows of empty seats, netting, stewards and coppers !

Once went to Man City at Maine Rd and some lads near the fence started giving it the come on to the City faces at the other side. Within mins they were over the fence and in, coppers stood and watched for about 5 mins before they waded in !

Anyway back to Blackpool, a similar approach to Saturdays game but a much closer contest.

    2-2

I don’t see why. How many Bolton sell has nothing to do with us, and does not reflect on our club. A more telling reason for a low amount sold would be the management of our club, both off and on the field.

Exactly, another new low under this ownership there's been a few.

You ask me to grasp some kind of ongoing keeper situation what is it.

We had Raya he wanted to leave we sold him. Replacing him with Walton not the best not the worst. Hes gone we have signed a keeper on a perm deal and are looking to bring in another I just want to know what you mean we dont know whats behind this keeper signing.

I don't know why you are papping on about it.

Have we been scouting him since Raya left or has his name just dropped and we've gone for it ?

Like i said go back and read the thread instead of jumping into posts trying to start a row. Of course there's not been an ongoing keeper situation, i mean it's not the second late close season in succession we've been scrabbling around for TWO senior keepers is it.

Poor planning but hopefully we'll come out of it ok, that's my final word on it.

What do you mean I have no idea what's behind this keeper signing we need a keeper we have signed one I honestly dont know what you are getting at that their might be something behind it.

It's not really an ongoing keeper situation if he turns out to be good is it.

    Don't waste my time.

We have signed the keeper he wants now it's bad planning the keeper situation will have been sorted. The fact that he has to quarantine for 14 days really doesn't matter it is what it is

Again missing the point for the sake of it, you've no idea what's behind this keeper signing. If you'd actually read posts back you'd see i and plenty others are cautiously pleased with this potential signing.

Doesn't take away the fact there are still concerns regarding the ongoing keeper situation. If you can't grasp that it's your problem but don't come bothering me with sarcasm for the sake of it. Either debate it and except others opinions or scroll post.

I disagree we are living in pretty much unprecedented times to blame the manager for a situation  not under his control is wrong. What in your opinion should he have done signed someone he does not want as much so he could play in the carabo cup. Tbh i dont care single jot for the cups this year just extra games I'd have scrapped them all this season.

I don't think you've taken into account the bigger picture that's been debated relentlessly on here. The fact this keeper situation has been on the cards for a long time way before the lockdown.

Silly response really to a valid point when i'd already said certain things can't be helped.

Or maybe we'll have a domestic back up keeper signed for free or on loan by the start of the season too and he can play the first couple of games...

Maybe but even so my point still stands because it shouldn't have come to this where is the real planning ?

We might be better just risking it with a rookie for a few games than signing another duffer because we are desperate. What use another Leutwiler when they can't displace the likes of Walton.
