Playing assets although the prices aren't likely to be what they might have been. I think a lot of clubs might be battening down the hatches this summer but then again if you are ambitious that will open up doors.
-
They'll never do that whilst there are assets to cash in it wouldn't make any sense really. Like last time we were sailing close to the wind the 30 million they recouped reset the clock for a bit longer. Bound to need re sting again soon though.

Bury is a silly example but that desperado will chuck any name out to defend Venkys and Mowbray. Sadly for them they've always been a tiny club for probably 50 years or more they just can't get fans in. The people of Bury by and large just don't care about them that's the awful truth. Plenty in Blackburn DO care about Rovers though some are far too easily put off whilst a lot of others can see and smell bullshit at a thousand paces. There's been and continues to be far too much of that hence why some just don't take Rovers seriously anymore. THat probably doesn't transmit itself to leafy Surrey where the righteous sit and bemoan a load of northern ingrates from the comfort of their favourite armchair.....every Saturday afternoon !

Mowbray: Stay or Go - A Poll

I think it's going to be a make the best of what you've got summer i'm fully prepared for that. It won't be great but if we manage to retain most if not all the best players it needn't be a disaster. The transition to ball retention nonsense needs binning off and we need to go to being a team who wants to get as many points as possible as quickly as possible. The deadwood and silly human angle needs binning off as well sorry if that's blunt to those easily offended by that's the reality of it. Save some cash by finally ousting the under achievers and put faith in the youth. No way will this squad on the pitch miss Mulgrew. Smallwood, Samuel and they'll just have to cope about the place not having them there draining thousands per week to be nice lads. Pathetic talk that is from the manager grow a pair of bollocks. The strive for stability will rule again next season so we'll have to lump it. If there's a fire sale we are going down and only a McCarthy of Pulis might stop it. -
Mowbray: Stay or Go - A Poll

I quote TM " We sold the goalie to buy a striker" -
Nailed on to go down but if they didn't it would be invaluable experience and a base for the future. Just one thing though, i'd want someone else managing it.

Mowbray: Stay or Go - A Poll

He's made that outlay to cover for the eventual loss of Dack and to give us another way of playing in the meantime should he be out. He's said as much himself at times over the last 12 months or so usually when one or the other has had a rare good game. Or good ten mins in Bens case. Now it's been time to step up it isn't working for several reasons but you can bet if we'd taken some points out of the last 3 he'd be trumpeting how they and this formation are the future. They are, he's taken this opportunity to try and bed it in for next season and the signs aren't good he's going to have to go some to gloss this one over. Verdict is pray Dack comes back well and stays and that he fires off Samuel, loans out Brereton, brings Gally off the wing and finds another actual striker from somewhere. Not much to ask ? -
Do any roads for Brereton and Gallagher lead that way i wonder ?
-
All he's papping on about there really is if there'll be enough to retain his favs. Only concern i'd have is Downing if he wants Smallwood and Samuel then tell him to pay for them they've had enough out of the club.
-
Even if we scrape the top ten finish which is respectable I fail to see how any fan cannot be a bit pissed off with that type of thing. It might work tonight it does work occasionally. About 1 in 5 or 6 but what we need is something that works 4 times out of 6. Such a needlessly hamstrung outfit at times.
-
Oh ffs it was a possession based team he was creating yesterday. Just watch this now he knows again people are getting fed up he'll have them revved up and going for it. Every single time he himself is on the back foot that happens yet when there's something to fight for he bottles it. Taking the piss now.

Like a few of us have suspected all along they never ever really went away something at the heart of all this is still at play and it's more than mere advice. -

But an old man who goes in practically part time and gets a couple of clubs promoted. Does he take all his mates ? Does he buy drones and employ pilots ? Or does he just go in with a target in mind, shake things up and try and deliver then if not is happy to fall on his sword. Will Tony be in such demand in 15 years time ? -

I'll be honest at this juncture i wouldn't want Pulis i think he'd be just as infuriating as Mowbray with stuff on the pitch and in no way is the squad suitable for his football. 10 games into next season i could very well be screaming out for him though. -
Next season i want to see a pair of knackers grown and Bennett the first name on the .......bench being the utility BACK UP he should be. Mulgrew sent anywhere to get some wages back, Smallwood sent to Coventry where he belongs. Don't mind Del he'd be next to Bennett on the bench. There is a 100% more chance of them all starting in the first game next season than what iv'e just said. These lot are the main stays of Mowbrays squad. Tomorrow night play the u23's Cardiff 0 Rovers 3

One of the best things that happened to Mowbray and most of this squad is when the fans in Ewood for the first game in League 1 gave them pelters. ( You know the loyal paying fans who'd stuck with the club all 11k plus of them a very healthy gate for lge 1. Can't even get that many very often this season which tells its own story zzzz ) That day he was trying to play a new brand of football that those he turned out on the pitch couldn't cope with and the tempo was slow it was abysmal. After that he changed tack again to something more resembling a team and we began to do ok. It gave them all the kick up the backside they needed and i think they need that every now and again because he has the team in a bloody coma sometimes. Had they not been made to know in no uncertain terms to wake up and get a grip iv'e no doubt he'd have persisted with that formation until it had us with no wins in 10 !

Ignore it does it on purpose it's a total crank case. -
Hark the super fan we bow in your presence.
-
Maybe paying fans are entitled to vent their frustration ?
-
About what ? You're in your own echo chamber. If you're in the know tell us otherwise you'll be taken with a pinch of salt like the rest of us.
-
Why ? Fans are clearly being cheated again if that kind of thing happens it's s piss take and a hark back to the recent 'bad old days'.

Phil Brown is too old they prefer the younger end. Mowbray was far and away the most experienced they've gone for after realising their gambles on younger ones was misguided. He was only about 52 Brown is 61. Not happening but keep scaremongering it suits you.
