  1. It's a shame Italy are out, not because I enjoy watching them so much, but because they are Italy. I know this will put much of the messageboard in a total uproar, but would you rather have England beat Sweden or Italy? Which would have meant more? There is no doubt that Sweden have played the better football, but to be honest the Italians have also been unlucky, if they had scored more goals during the first hour of the Denmark game, something that they really should have done, we wouldn't even be talking about this, and to be honest we might not have even been talking about a "boring" Italian side.

I have to agree with that. Poor finishing against Denmark and failed tactics at the end of the game against Sweden is the reason Italy are out. I'd love to see them progress but alas, Sweden and Denmark are good footballing teams that should be a decent substitute. Anyways, I have a tenner on Sweden to win the tournament, so it was in my interest economically that they got through in the end wink.gif

  2. Having just watched Denmark, I'd say 1864 missed out on another contender. Brilliant flowing attacking football. The complete opposite of Portugal who must have 10 touches each before they can pass the ball. The only disappointment being their poor alternatives up front. Ebbe Sand being way off form, and Tomasson being.. well Tomasson. With a better strikeforce they would be unstoppable.

  3. I haven't posted on this topic for a while (honest to God, nearly a full page wink.gif ), so here's the songs I recently added to my 'mix' minidisc: Arch Enemy - We Will Rise; Blind Guardian - Mirror, Mirror; Children of Bodom - Children of Bodom; Grim Reaper - See You In Hell; Mayhem - Funeral Fog; Slayer - Angel of Death and Apoclyptica's cover of Fade To Black (string quartets covering Metallica songs~~ smile.gif ).

    Like your style cool.gif

A few songs I'm listening to today:

    Tenacious D - Tribute

Dillinger Escape Plan - 4th Grade dropout

Today Is The Day - The Cold Harshness of Being Wrong

    Sixteen Horsepower - American Wheeze

Thee Michelle Gun Elephant - Satanic Boom Boom Head

  4. John Coleman? huh.gif Or Chris Coleman? wink.gif

Anyways, even if I have doubts over Souness the solution is certainly not to sack him at this point. That would be disaster. I cannot see us surviving with Tony Parkes in charge for the last games... or anyone else. The time to evaluate is at the end of the season, and that is when the major changes must occur. It will be interesting now to see how we handle the nerve wrecking run in, can the players / management handle the pressure?

  5. Could be there's an underlying sense of seniority at work, I don't know.

    Erm.. you're a moderator and YOU don't know ??????

If you read my post properly you'll notice it says I'm not involved in the moderating of the site. My role as admin is in the development and design of the site, and the technical aspect of the site and forum, not moderating the forums.

  6. Erm.. No one is editing out rover6's posts are they? I think freedom of speech does in fact exist here. But I agree that some people can dish out mean amounts of abuse compared to others without getting the treatment they should according to the posting guidelines. On the other hand it's not my job to moderate this site but I know that it's one hell of a job to sift through everything that gets posted and that it isn't always easy to be consistent when moderating. But as I said, some members seem to be priviledged. Could be there's an underlying sense of seniority at work, I don't know.
  7. The Moldy Peaches

Time to get your P2P network up and running...

Also good are: The Von Bondies, Danko Jones, Merzbow, Supersilent, Girl From Saskatoon and last but not least the new Metallica album.
