Despite two goals that was an awful half of football. Both teams should be ashamed people are paying good money to watch this dross. Don’t feel like it’s an important game for neither sides. Let’s hope Rovers improve somewhat in the 2nd half and get this season done with.

I'm never usually remotely happy with a point at home but in the context of the relegation scrap a draw wouldn't be the end of the world today.

I hope we win but I'd take a point now.

    We are so poor.

    A one man team.

God help us next season when SS has gone and the sales proceeds snaffled by our owners.

Have to agree, for me there's a lot of players out there stealing a living whilst the magnificent SS keeps us afloat.

We'd be on about 20 points without him.

At a normal Club a huge clear out would be required in summer.

I think Hyam should be moved on.  This season, perhaps due to his injuries, he has looked like his legs have gone. He's so slow and clumsy on the ball.

Wharton has been tremendous and is back to his old self.

Carter has all the attributes you'd want for a good centre half.

I'd bomb out Macfazdean and  Hyam to bring in good competition from league 1 or 2 for centre half along with a decent Premiership loan.

Hyam and Macfazdean are not the future. Move them both on.

    Great post. Completely agree.

He's been a very good purchase - he's a damn sight better than the player he replaced (Lenihan).

That said, he's not a captain and shouldn't be asked to take on a leadership role.

Blimey, game of opinions once again, Hyam isn't fit to lace Lenihan's boots imo.

Lenihan is a little agricultural but underneath it all he's a generally very reliable and resolute defender - unlike Hyam.

    Who’d be a football manager?

Pulls out an amazing result just when we needed it and gets begrudging praise from some and not even that from others.

He might not be a legend but to get that sort of reaction from the team, particularly the defence, after what happened on Wednesday means he must have something about him, because that set of players have rarely shown cajones like that when we have really needed than to, regardless of who the manager has been.

    Agreed.

I don't really understand the level of antipathy towards Eustace. It's not his fault he isn't JDT and it isn't Eustace's fault he has ended up here either as the former walked out on us in any event. Albeit totally understandably.

To be fair to Leeds they did a good deed today.

They went into Leeds city centre, found 2 down and outs bin dipping and gave them an afternoon out at the football.

They didn't have time to arrange a shave and clean up but its the thought that counts.

Was that picture taken after SS scored?

    They look devastated!

he is`nt,he`s a yes man employed by swag to keep silent and keep us winning a few games every so often, his team in august will be worse than now,cos there will be no one left of any quality, sorry to appear downbeat, but thats rovers in the swag/venky era, completely bereft of any ambition

    Harsh.

So far as far as I can see thus far  he's done the job he needed to do I.e. reduce the amount of goals being conceded and keep us up. And all he has generally had since arriving has been dog's abuse primarily because he isn't JDT.

Am I absolutely convinced he's the right man going forward? Not yet but the time to judge him is fifteen games into next season. Hopefully his team will have a much better feel for the Transfer market than that twerp Broughton as well.

Thrilled and delighted with today win.

We defended as a team and everyone of those players played for the fans and Eustace. Our shape was very good. The defenders were excellent today and Hyam was back to his good self. Carter did excellent after his booking in the first half. Brittain and Pickering did excellent against their wingers/full backs

We had the best 2 chances today and Leeds ended up diving and trying to win a penalty which none were.

Eustace got his tactics spot on.

Excellent finish by Szmodics by great play by Dolan after Gallagher wins the header. I think I never shouted so much after that when in.

The Rovers fans at Elland Road were loud and proud.

Delighted for the fans, the players and Eustace. Great 3 points.

    Rovers till I die 🔵

Eustace's Blue and White Army 🔵

    Good lad Chaddy.

Went for Scheffler pre tournament and seen nothing to change my mind but given my winnings today on Rovers, have already put a cheeky £fiver on both Fleetwood (50/1) and Fitzpatrick (85/1) as they are two very talented lads capable of making 'a charge' as invariably someone does.

    Good shouts.

I also fancy Schaufelle and Cameron Young at big odds.

You won't get anything on Fernhurst/Oakdale (up Jack Walker Way) for under £200k.

I don't think anyone on the estate has any complaints about Rovers being down the road, it's more a case of the roads being blocked due to people abandoning their cars on double yellows / blocking people's drives / things like that.

Not sure why any public roads around Ewood should be residents only parking, they want to have their cake and eat it. They don't want to pay for the upkeep of the road but seemingly can't cope with traffic outside their house for a couple of hours a fortnight. And as people have already pointed out, the football ground was there long before they were.

If it isn't a private road and you aren't actually blocking someone's driveway you should be able to park wherever you like.

If there is any truth to the rumour they were trying to shift him in Jan perhaps that's why.

More likely to get a higher wage earner off the pay roll but would have been no great loss imo, I never really rated him even before last Wednesday. I thought he was one of the worst performers during the implosion in the second half of last season.

  12. Whatever happens today in terms of the result we need to see a big reaction from Wednesday's debacle and put in a decent performance and be competitive.

I've defended Eustace up to now and up until the  Bristol City game I thought we were improving but that simply wasn't acceptable. Whatever PR spin he puts on it in interviews he needs to have put some rockets up backsides in private and get them fired up.

I wouldn't have Hyam anywhere near the side after Wednesday, he'd be collecting his P45 if it was up to me, it's very easy for the attitude of one bad apple to infect the rest of the squad.

That said if they're all up for it and well organised we can get something out of it. If Sunderland can get a result there, so can we. Not holding my breath mind............
