  1. Initially I liked it (I always like when there is a bit of red in it), but the more I look the worse it gets in my opinion.

Not reversed colors on the back, the strange collar, the god awful sponsor logo (looks like a failed art contribution by someone who tried to be "edgy") and the two tones of blue.

A big no for me, but at least it's 1 million times better than burnley's, by default.

  2. There are quite a few interesting players with expiring contracts in 2022 from Allsvenskan in Sweden. I'm not sure what the possibilities are of signing players from Sweden these days are. But I guess they would be familiar to JDT

Some interesting ones in my opinion:

    Leo Bengtsson (24) - LW

Jo-Inge Berget (31), Winger/Striker - Worked with JDT in Malmö

Adam Carlén (22) CDM, 1,93 m, but with good feet and quite mobile.

I'm sure there are more, but these are the ones I found at a quick glance. Not sure, as I said, if we would even be able to sign any of them with the existing rules.

Don't be surprised to see us sign this lad. Rangers and ourselves seem to be shopping in similar markets these days too. It mentions other clubs being interested, I would imagine one of them being Rovers. This would be one of the least surprising signings to see JDT make.

I'd love that, he was CLASS when he as on loan at Malmö FF. Granted the Swedish league is not at the top of European football (We're ranked 22nd atm I think). But still, class player.

Never heard of him, but he does seem to work for one of the most tabloid like sites in Sweden, FotbollDirekt.

I have not seen that rumour anywhere else in Sweden, so I don't think there is much to it, more than a lazy link to his former club,

Ahmehodzic is a bit of a strange one imo, a few years ago he was valued around 8-10 million EUR. There are lots of rumours around him, seemed certain for Lazio if I remember correctly. In the end he leaves on loan to Bordeaux, with a clause of around EUR 4 million. I'm not sure what happened to be honest.  Would probably be a great signing for us if he would consider this leauge, but I personally think he's got his mind set on bigger leauges, maybe PL, FR or Serie A.

  5. One thing that I noticed was in one article where they wrote that one of the things that were impressive with JDT was that he managed to win the swedish league two years in a row with a "limited budget'.  Malmö has BY FAR the biggest budget in Sweden, I think at least twice compared to the next team.

Not sure what that says, but in Sweden it was not a limited budget that he got to work with...

Also, I'm a bit drunk and not entirely sure what I want to say with this post. 😂

  6. For what it's worth, he won the Swedish League two years in a row while managing Malmö FF. I don't particulary like Malmö FF, so I can't really say what the opinion of him was/is in that club. But they are (by far) the richest club in Sweden, and are more or less expected to win each year. But the job still had to be done.

Personally I would rather have seen Knutsen, as I think he's a more exciting manager. But I still not disappointed with JDT.

Seems to be just speculation for now, as soon as the DOF appointment was made fans have seemingly just put two and two together. Who knows though.

Supposedly he rejected both Rosenborg (Norwegian giants) and LA Galaxy to stay in Bodö. And I assume that him having a contract to 2024 would be a stumbling block. Unless he has a clause for foreign clubs.
