and need a proper tough captain! Bennett is a liability imo..
Chris Samba is still without club as far as I know. Wonder if he's still any good. 35 years old and probably used to a bit higher salary than we can afford...

GK
Zabaleta - CB - Kompany - LB
Keane - CM
RW - Zidane - Dugarry
Lewandowski
I think those 7 would beat almost every Blackburn starting 11 from the past 8 years. ?
Were we not linked with Gareth Bale at one point during the Bentley to Spurs period and turned down the part exchange, also we turned down signing Son Hueng Min for the weekly wage of a championship player, did we not? Stick Bale at LB and Son on RW and that team is only a CB and CM shy of Champions League domination...
I'd personally keep Raya in goal ?
No Luca Toni????

If we want an experienced keeper to teach Raya, Buffon is without club...
I know I know, realistic targets...

Lennart Johanssen who was the architect of the Champions League has just died at 89.
Sad day for football.
I wonder how FIFA would look today if he had won the election back in the day, instead of the living corruption that is Sepp Blatter.

I would be content with Downing being signed to play a central role as we could do with a bit more quality on the ball in there but it would concern me if he was being signed as a winger.
Let's hope it turns out better than Whittingham in that case.
There are a few interesting players without contract at the moment. I saw for example that Yoann Gourcuff has no club. He was thought to be a world-class player back in the days. Not that he would ever come here even today... Just a bit interesting what happens to some players.

Raya is just too small to be dominant.
Depends on the size of the sub I'd say.
Oh wait, what were we talking about again? ?

He wasn’t a gifted footballer but he didn’t half commit to tackles. He was certainly no Herold Goulon! Remember the song about him??
That man was proper shite, wasn't he? Had a look at his wikipedia stats, according to that he's played 150 career games. For 11 different teams. Since 2006.

He was a good player for us though, and he wielded his large head like a fucking Mjolnir.
that is true. The song just wasn't about his footballing skills. Not directly anyways. ?

So which player has a song sung by his own fans about how shit he is?
”Good” is a subjective term. In football terms I view that as being very effective not necessarily their football skills. Smallwood was exactly that.
Hanley did get a song about the size of his head... ?

De Rossi leaves Roma. Under our PL days (particularly under Sam Allardyce) that could have been a signing that would have been even slightly possible. Get a few good years out of him.
These days? Not so much.
And I guess we still have a big stumbling block in the owners. We have no idea what kind of money TM will have to work with in the summer.

Sorry if it's been brought up earlier in this thread, but Joe Ledley, on a free transfer. Would that be a good/realistic signing? No idea what kind of level he possess at the moment.
32 years old, would bring a lot of experience to the team. Left Derby due to lack of game time it seems.

I wouldn't be so sure. It could get spent on central midfielders to convert to centre halves. Or possibly wingers to convert to full backs. Maybe central midfielders to convert to wingers, like Rothwell. The options are limitless (except for signing players to play in their actual positions, that's taboo). We could even sign very expensive players in pretty much any position, to play on the bench. Which may happen increasingly as we stick strictly to our artists:soldiers ratio regardless of the opposition.
You shouldn't pigeon-hole our transfer plans like that, the world is our oyster (Please note, oysters will be used as sharks, pigeon-holes will be used as badger dens).
This is one of those situations where I want to laugh because it sounds ridiculous, but then I look at the squad we have and the transfer history and.... well...

DICKson Etuhu finally found his level and is playing in the sixth tier here in Sweden... (Can't be bothered to look up if he's playing or on the bench injured though...)

Like someone on here said, It's strange that other clubs, like Newcastle, Blackpool etc, the media always look at what the owners actually do and then judge the fans. For us it's been the fans' fault from the beginning.
I once heard a pundit on Swedish TV say that the our fans were upset that "the owners promised a lot of money and the took it away". I've never been so close to trying to find a number to call in to a live show and explain why we are really upset...

I always find it strange that he's never mentioned when the top flight clubs are searching for a new manager. I mean I haven't heard his name pop up as the permanent replacement at Old Trafford. Given how much "dignity" he had here he should at least be considered...

It's broadcasted via Liverpool TV on Viaplay here in Sweden. Those Liverpool color commentators are... Not good. To put it mildly

Dickson is still in Sweden and currently... injured! It seems his current injury takes a bit longer to heal than expected. As far as I know he hasn't played since April.
-
Looks like it was his younger brother who did most of/all the actual fighting, Knowing Dickson he'd probably pull a muscle trying to hit someone...
Lovely family.

Hello fellow Rovers!
I'm Rickard from Sweden. Been a fan for a long time. Terrified about what is going on at the club at the moment.
Anyways, nice to meet you guys, ask if there is anything you want to know.

My team in Sweden just launched the "third kit" to be used this season. I like the design...
