    Absolutely delighted. IT CAME HOME!

What a fantastic tournament it's been, chuffed that so many people have seen how far it's come on in the last 10-15 years - genuinely entertaining games of graft and physicality with loads of skill and passion.

Tugay wears Keira Walsh pyjamas, and if we had Mary Earps in goal instead of Jason Steele we probably wouldn't have gone down.

This is the beginning of a new era in the women's game, really excited to see how good it's going to get.

Thousands of young girls can wake up today dreaming about being superstar footballers, just like we all did.

Next step imo - get the club teams to play at the same grounds as the men.

Yeah i got my 2 daughters to watch it in hope it would inspire them to get into footy but alas, it seems to have failed.

Sam Szmodics achievements are all the more impressive considering his injury record, as referenced in various sources online. In calendar year, 2017, whilst playing for Colchester, he suffered separate injuries of a broken ankle, broken leg and ankle ligament damage. His loan spell at Braintree, the previous season, was interrupted by an ankle injury that required surgery. Last summer, June 2021, he withdrew from his first Ireland national squad inclusion with a recurrence of a shoulder injury, .

He seems resilient and has done very well, it seems, despite this but there is cause for concern about spending big money on him considering his injury record. But, the medical team will presumably, be able to make an accurate call.

    He sounds incredibly injury prone!

    🤷‍♂️

Anyone else unable to sleep for shit?

Added pressure to get the wins this season as we battle to try and get ahead of our toothless neighbours.

The brief is simple for day 1, win and win by more than a 1 goal margin.

Really hope it works out for JDT, if he manages like he interviews then we're in for a good season, the players simply HAVE to enjoy playing more for a character like this than monotone Tony.

It feels like (purely based off interviews etc) that JDT would be pushing a winning mentality on the squad, rather than TM's shoulder shrug and "we'll turn up and see what happens"

Obviously a few things need to change/improve from the Mowbray era but hopefully JDT isn't driving us all crazy with team selections, players out of position, lack of training on set pieces and a footballing philosophy that doesn't have much in the way of formations.

He's already put one fear the rest recently, where he's said he doesn't want possession for the sake of it, nor does he want us just pointlessly passing it around at the back.

It's an exciting day for sure to see how he sets us up etc. Pre season didn't give that many clues due to the mixed teams used in most games.

With each day that passes, it's becoming more and more apparent that Broughton is a dud. Overwhelmed and unable to deliver.

If the best he can come up with is blowing £2.5m on some L1 no hoper and a loan for Tyler Morton, he needs to start packing his bags now.

Peterborough fans can't believe their luck and want to take the money and run. That should say something.

His appointment was never going to provide an instant, quick fix.

Add in that he still has a few weeks left of the window to go. Not ideal that we still need plenty of signings and the season starts tomorrow admittedly but players will be signing before the deadline approaches.
