  1. With the dreadful run of form were hitting, the availability of Red button or streamed games, ridiculous and unnecessary changes to KO times, the awful atmosphere caused partly by the club insisting on alienating fans by shutting stands, I really think Mr Waggot and Co could well be in for a real shock this summer in terms of season ticket sales.

  2. Sadly it looks as though it will be walk-ons for us next season, the amount of games I've missed this year through changed dates, silly kick off times for TV or our useless stewarding it just isn't cost effective any longer.

If the club bang up the walk on prices then it may not be to often we get on next season.

  3. Genuinely don't see a genuine reason why Rovers (Caley and Waggot) have insisted on the ridiculous kick off time, other than to make life easier for the inept stadium management team.

PNE is just another game, its not a big derby game. Do I want us to beat them? yes of course but no more than when we play the likes of Bristol or Rotherham. I will be no happier or disappointed with the result than any other game this season.

  4. They miss a trick with late season ticket sales, £200 per adult season tkt on a 12 month DD would see far more sold in my opinion...

Under 8s Free with a paying adult

    Under 18s £75 with a paying adult

    18-21 £125

Not exact figures but the club need to be more imaginative... We are a Mid table division 2 team in a very poor small town with a large percentage who don't see football as their main sport.

  5. Stuart Caley has for too long and continues to play a part in the dwindling match day atmosphere, from over zealous stewarding, stand closures and ridiculous adjustments to kick off times. He is a yesterdays man, too long in the tooth and out of touch with the clubs needs to improve revenue by improving match day experience.

He wants to remain in his comfort zone and smaller subdued crowds enable this. Maybe it's time the club looked at bringing in a younger more in touch and forward thinking Stadium / Safety manager, one who embraces larger crowds and improved atmosphere.

I know that i'm banging an old point here (and i'm well aware of the opinions concerning this issue)

    But!

The closure of the DE for home fans has been detrimental (imo) to the atmosphere in the ground.

I had to move to the BBE and have okay seats in N01 but the atmosphere is poor.

Very little vocal support and I haven't enjoyed going to the games so much (due to the move) so this will probably be my last year with a season ticket.

I agree the closure of the DE has damaged match day atmosphere...

The JW lower section is a great view but the club have done all they could to limit the JW lower.

I have missed the last half dozen or so home games now mainly due to work.

Everything considered we will just buy tickets on a match by match basis next season.

  7. For me Never Forgive, Never Forget, Never make them welcome. They have lost a generation of supporters for the club. The damage they have overseen will far outlive their stay at Ewood.

Support the team, Venkys if they insist on staying involved should do the best thing they can do and stay well away. The mere mention of opens old wounds and divides the fan base it would be even worse should they rock up at a game. Out of sight out of mind

I think we can safely say Waggott is out of his depth. Or a liar. The 'onerovers' schtick is wearing a bit thin. All they've done is put prices up without any attempt to improve the atmosphere in a half-empty stadium (on a good day).

Waggott is either just telling people what they want to hear or he really is completely out of touch with the (potential) fanbase. The fact that crowds have barely increased on the back of a promotion and with more goodwill that their has been for a decade is a damning indictment of his running of the club.

Mowbray was openly astonished at the numbers that turned up against Oxford. Waggott has done absolutely nothing to bring those people back. It angers me. He is a waste of space.

I honestly think Waggot is a good business man and will generate additional income through sponsorship and corporate which is good for the club, however the club could do with an Alan Myers type of guy to interact with the fans. Myers was very pro active during his time here, we could do with someone of a similar mould.

  9. The move to close the Darwen End has been a complete fail for atmosphere improvement, and has actually created further divide withing the fan base. We now have fans in the BBE belittling those in other stands whilst bizarrely asking them to move into the BBE.

The timing of the announcement was my opinion quite deliberate, leaving those in the DE with zero chance to plan a move together ahead of the new season. Maybe  Caley and Co knew full well that he and his inadequate stewarding team preferred to split those fans into the other three home stands.

We ( a group of fans from the DE) had a meeting with Waggot in which he sat nodding and saying all the words we wanted to hear (hollow words indeed). Numerous ideas where discussed and Waggot agreed to help facilitate the move to W01-W02.

    1. Ryan the social media bloke would be in touch and the club would actively promote the new area...NOTHING CAME OF THIS

    2. The far corner of W01 would be netted off and used for flags and banners both for visual effect and to bring those moving closer to the rest of the JW lower... NOTHING CAME OF THIS..... In fact they sold season tickets in this corner.

    3. Away fans would initially be placed in the DE Upper like many other teams do.... NOTHING CAME OF THIS

    4. The club (Waggot) offered to pay for a repair to the drum..... NOTHING CAME OF THIS Dan the lad who drums shelled out £80 out of his own pocket

    5. Stewards would not be OTT with home fans as they often where in the DE, On Saturday there must have been 20 or stewards and police watching and photographing the home fans as at least 3 or 4 Villa fans entered the pitch in celebration and allowed to return to their seats virtually unchallenged.

The club have some how managed to create further divide in the supporter base, whilst doing nothing at all to improve atmosphere.

Many of those in the DE have moved to Riverside or BBE or just stopped going a massive own goal in my opinion.

At the meeting Steve Waggot estimated that half of the teams this season would need the full DE.... how wrong that has proven to be....

When they moved the family stand from the BBE upper I was furious and many couldn't understand my anger. Now it's happened to the Darwen end and still nobody gets it. It's about your space. The little bit of ewood that on match days is your home. It might not be an area that's to everyone's taste but for you it's an important part of the matchday experience. Now I understand the economics of the closures but I don't understand why nobody seems to get the sense of loss of enjoyment that those affected may feel.

I felt for the BBE Upper fans and as a member of BRFCAG our thoughts where passed onto the club. T close a stand in such a way without any form of consultation was disgusting and lacked class from the club. Lessons learned? NO they do exactly the same again with the DE. Mark my words the same fate could easily come for those in the Riverside.

I reckon there will be £20 million bids in for him within the next 2 windows. That will be a real test for him and us

Yep I agree, I'd argue that as of now he is a £12 million category player if his form continues to improve at his currant rate he will end up being our record sale of that I have no doubt.

Why do you care what a few people on social media think? Most people in the Blackburn End will have no opinion at all about other stands, and certainly won’t be talking about it on Facebook or anywhere else, can’t say I’ve overheard anyone with the slightest interest or think there ever was a ‘rivalry’.

100 people in the corner of the JW can’t make a decent noise and until we get considerably more than 11,000 home fans on the ground, it will be difficult to create different areas with full throated singing. Seems like you are grasping at reasons not to help create a proper end, when currently it is the only solution.

I with a few others are trying to create a proper end, if it works out we will have two proper ends then. I have read today that the FA support safe standing in the Prem and Championship, now that could be a real game changer at Ewood.

A few people on here don’t represent the Blackburn End.

The only place that it is now possible to create an atmosphere is that End, N01 being the prime area - that ‘top corner’ as you put it, a bit like the DE top corner then, no?

It is starting to improve as folk from across the ground are noticing.

Can’t speak for what happened to you personally, but again that doesn’t represent 4,000 people. Just all seems very petty and creating divides that really don’t exist, surely as a fan base we’ve moved on from all that?

Happened again last night, as good few posts on FB from BBE fans knocking other sections of the support, then saying oh come and join us lol. Ewood needs a bit of noise in all home areas.

  14. Last few times I've been on there I was spat at by a fellow Rovers fan and on another occasion one attempted (badly failed) to assault me. Other than that I see posts by those in BBE this season along the lines of "singing section is embarrassing, just full of kids, please come and make some noise in the BBE".

Truth is the BBE needs quite a few to move out into the JW or Riverside if they want to make a real impact noise wise. Many fans in there have been there since day 1 and it seems many are now older and prefer to sit quietly watching the game, with just the top corner making an effort. Im a bit older too but still like to shout myself hoarse at games lol.

unsure of the obsession some in there have with the DE or now JW lower, watch the game, enjoy it and stop worrying about or mocking others who are in the ground making an effort.

Disagree. There were virtually no home fans in there when it was open. At least the JW looks a bit fuller than normal. Having 150 home fans in a corner of the Darwen End doesn’t look any better than just giving the whole lot to the away fans imo.

150 now? was dwindling but not that much
