  1. I thought Nisse was very good.
  2. In fairness i've never denied the problems that are there I think I've just hoped Souness would turn them around. Clearly I don't always post my most negative thoughts on here but those who talk to me know my thoughts. I am very depressed right now but will continue to go because I do enjoy it and meet a good bucnh of lads and Scotty Keep the faith fellas. We won't go down but I still want and expect better than that.
  3. Actually it's not that simple. The first half was very even mainly because we played a side resembling a decent one. We didn't take our chances and then got punished firstly by some good Arsenal play and then by some crap defending. Then we were embarrasing because we played with central midfield of Matteo & Gresko and we just gave up. oh yes and Emerton has a heart the size of a pea. We have the basis of a sound side run by d1ckheads who have no idea what they are doing. Yes I've had a few whilst watching it in the pub, yes i'm annoyed that we rolled over in the second half and quite honestly yes I hold my hands up and say that i'm not exactly teetering on the edge of the Souness out camp rather i'm plummeting. If we line up or play like that on Saturday then I will be thrown out.
  4. Sadly I have to report that he told me the outlook was not so good. It's not all bad though as he said we'll beat Arsenal tonight.
  5. I don't think you'd notice the difference as sadly they have become oh so predictable.
  6. Yeah I did think of that although I was under the impression they could still work part-time as i'm sure i'd read an interview with one that said as much. Incidentally on digging around I found an interview with D'Urso in which he stated the ref he most looked up to was a certain George Courtney. What a surprise.
  7. He is a bank manager so it may well be correct but i'd be wary of sending anything dodgy or harassing him. He'll only end up coming back and being even worse. Is that possible? Thinking about it further sorry to be sad but I suspect if he got abuse and it was traced back here where the email address was displayed the site may be in trouble so i'd think of editing that. I remember a case where someone's phone no. was put up and they got abuse and the site had trouble.
  8. I may be wrong but I don't think Norwegians require a work permit. Edit: Damn you and your faster typing Eddie.
  9. What I can't understand is that installment based transfers have been the norm in Europe now for years and our league is now catching up. I think it was Allardyce who said it was about time as it put us at a disadvantage to the rest of Europe when going for players. So why are we getting stick for doing what everyone else does. No-one pays in full up front for players.
  10. So I complain about your silly rants which inevitably centre on a comparison with Dalglish and that means I think he's doing a fine job does it? Alternatively you've got no sensible argument to make so you just make stuff up instead. Fair enough whatever makes you happy.
  11. I disagree with you about the tactics. I actually think he knows what he wants the team to do and in some respects it is working. In both of the 2 games we were probably the better team until we gave away a crap goal. The problem was though that I couldn't really see us scoring. When we change the formation we instantly look more like scoring but then also look more likely to concede. My gripe is that whilst Souness clearly wants us to be harder to beat we are more or less the same as last season but more boring. I would put up with boring and picking up points for a while but boring and not winning is obviously not good enough. The silly thing is that my main reason for being a Souness fan has been the football we have played. Now he is going against that and I think against what he believes in. I can see this formation working at times in picking up more points if we can cut out the mistakes but I don't think i'll enjoy it. I can't see the point in getting rid now because Strachan apart I've not seen any decent suggestions to replace him and I think there is more risk of us going down with some of those. However if we are going to play boring football then whilst I don't want him out then I can't say i'd be upset if he goes. Meant to add that at times today in the first half I really did think that things just seem a bit stale now and maybe a change, any change wouldn't be a bad thing.
  12. You've used this argument before about why you don't like him and I still don't understand it. What does it matter how nice he is? Ferguson is the most succesful manager of our time and how nice was he. Cloughie wasn't all that nice at all and I wonder what you would make of him.
  13. For once Jan isn't being negative just telling it as it is. People can say all they like that he needs games but he doesn't even look anywhere near being a premiership footballer. Sad but true.
  14. Best post you've made today and I fully agree.
  15. It shows the kind of arrogance that is typical of Souness and i'm amazed that it would surprise anyone. Would you prefer he responded like Ferguson and just barred any journalist who disagrees with him. Most Managers are arrogant and don't take criticism very well.
  16. Interesting thing with D'Urso is that he booked Fergie twice and when it was pointed out to him he lied that he had booked Tugay. The man is so incompetent it's untrue.
  17. Why were there not 154 penalties given today for every other time when a player challenged for the ball in the air. D'Urso is a cheating little arsehole who should spend less time trying to get the ball himself and more time watching the match.
  18. Emerton already had a man to mark. It was one of the centre-halves fault. The worst thing you can do in that situation is have both centre-halves go for the same ball. Shame as we'd done ok up till then but after that we lost it completely. Main concern is the number of aimless high balls coming from the back, why play so many central midfielders and then by-pass them.
  19. That's the whole point though Capt. The vast majority on this message board can see when something isn't right or isn't working. We will all disagree on how severe the situation is and how to fix but as you rightly say that's what the MB is for. However what annoys 'us' supporters who get a tad annoyed with the doom and gloom at times is the way you dismiss all the opinions as not seeing or not wanting to see what you and your select band have had sussed for a while now. I have many concerns about our Graeme, some I've posted on here and some I haven't but you just ignore that as it doesn't fit in with your argument. Eddie has just made some great comments which seem fairly balanced to me but they probably will be ignored also. I personally wouldn't respond to you saying 'stop being so bloody negative' mainly because you're as entitled to your opnion as I am. However when you say you're not trying to trip Mr Souness it doesn't really tally with what you post at times. The main thing that bugs me is that anything Souness says is disected and picked on and held up against past comments. If you did that with me or most others you would occasionally spot contradictions and innaccuracies but we aren't a debating society on here it's a board for the discussing our team. I don't think you should have to hide your opnions by any means but some of the stuff posted at times just smacks of people looking for any opportunity to pick fault. Now that to me doesn't seem very balanced at all which is the very thing that us 'gullibles' are accused of. Sorry for the rant but i've got that off my chest now so it's just for me to ready myself to cheer us on to much needed points, with my blue & white blinkers on of course
  20. So the time he set up Emerton or Tugay or Dickov don't count do they not. Yorke was quite possibly our best player although that's not saying much. I would think that justifies his inclusion this week. As for the rest of the season well who knows but I haven't heard anyone say he should be included all season based on one game.
  21. Much of what you say makes sense and as the players stated they had been working on a formation for a few weeks then it couldn't have been a surprise. It didn't work in the 1st half partly because De Pedro is both new and probably unfit, and partly because the 3 in midfield were too similar. If Yorke had played where De Pedro was and Dickov up front it would probably have worked better. Similarly I felt sorry for Gresko as he did little wrong but was wasted. The fact that he's left footed is irrelevant as it doesn't mean he has to play out wide he was too defensive an option for Saturday IMO. I certainly expect to see a similar formation again. The funny thing is Souness is accused of knowing nothing about tactics and stuff but surely if that was the case they would just play 4-4-2 with no variation. Fair enough we can all have a laugh aboutt he light bulb formation but the players clearly didn't line up like that. De Pedro did spend a lot of time more central and neither Gresko or Matteo were drawn to the left either. We shall wait and see for Saturday but I think the side Brownie has down including Tugay will be the one coming out against Southampton.
  22. I don't often get to say it but I agree almost entirely with your post Rev. I know I give you enough stick so it's only fair to give credit where it's due. It's almost a positive post from you but i'd prefer to say realistic.
  23. Ah diddums. Someone has the nerve to criticise something you posted and you spit your dummy out and threaten not to post again! Poor thing. The irony is though that last night and early this morning you completely jumped down someone else's throat for daring to have a different opinion to yourself. Get a grip. Who the f**k threatened not to post again. I said I'd rather stop posting than go through these endless slanging matches as they are tiresome quite frankly. It was not as well you chuffing well know intended as anything other than to state my intention to avoid that situation which you seem to so enjoy. I have only ever had a go at posters who I feel allow their arguments to be clouded by an agenda which masks what are at times decent posts. One of the most knoweldgable posters on here is Jan but I can't read one of her posts because I know what it's going to say and that's the pity. If someone wants to moan about Saturday then fine I have no problem and jumped down anyone for that alone or i'd have been posting non-stop for 24 hours. We all want the same things but I personally get tired of the negativity but rather than rant on i'd rather leave it. If you think that's a threat then that's up to you but you're wrong. And now you've made me post again.
  24. On the contrary that is what a good number of posters are saying. The same ones that insist on posting negative crap after one game and then try and twist what anyone who disagrees is saying. No sensible person is suggesting a point against West Brom is good but the 2nd half was positive and unfirtunately if you don't go home in a stinking mood followed up with a Souness out tirade then you are accused of wearing blinkers. It's getting beyond belief now and yet whenever anyone asks the whingers to come up with an alternative they just roll-out the blinkers jibes instead. It's got to the point where I'd rather stop posting anymore because you can't have opinions. Despite posting that the tactics were wrong and that it was not at all great you still get accused of posting blinkered rubbish simply because i'm not ready to end it all. Well let's hope we can get no points for the next 10 games and Souness gets sacked. Then i'll come back and post how right you were and we'll all be happy won't we.
