Thank you for the update.
From that can we assume your request to bring forward the MoU meeting was declined?
If so, are you able to share their reason for doing so?
It has been provisionally agreed to bring it forward, but with the fallout from yesterdays meeting and the ongoing situation at the club we aren’t going to push it. Perhaps if things are a little calmer over the weekend we might bring it forward a day or two. It absolutely shouldn’t be the boards priority at this moment.

Thanks, but what was actually said?
Have certain element been left out? You haven't actually quashed any speculation with this statement!
Are you talking about secrecy? If so then we were told to keep it to ourselves but there would be a lot of speculation and press noise coming out over the next day or so.
It took 20 minutes.
I don’t think the content of the Mail article was a surprise to anyone at the club. I’ve drawn my own conclusions from this, but I couldn’t state it as fact. Those conclusions were JDT is gone.

You can’t make people listen but you can get traction very quickly on social media, plenty of fans who aren’t militant brfcs-ers aren’t slavishly pro-Venky’s either and can be converted to the cause, they genuinely just don’t know the half of it.
The Orlando fan info Tweet thread this very week was an example of said traction.
On the flip side of that though, look at what people are saying in the replies here…

I’ve read a few times that JDT will not get sacked as we can’t afford to.
I’d bet my bollocks that if he did an interview and said anything remotely critical of the owners he’d be out of work within an hour. Whenever they have been questioned publicly or privately it’s been the end result. Perhaps gagging him was the only way to stop this happening.

I don’t think JDT can moan too much about Wharton being sold - He’s every right to moan about not spending a penny of it.
Every single noise coming out of the club had been “not yet”… until that court case didn’t happen.

Unhappy with the signings and the club probably (my guess) knew that in the current circumstances his interview wouldn’t be well received by fans and would only cause more negativity. He was not a happy man last night apparently.
I very much expect this is the case. Anyone with eyes and a functioning brain can see Wharton was absolutely integral to what he has tried to do since day one. I’m dismayed at fans who think our window was anything other than an absolute disaster, so I’d expect our manager to be seriously unimpressed.

I think we're trying to reconstruct some sort of hybrid Coventry City team. Hyam, McFadzean, Fleck all played for them. Next we will get Strachan as manager should JDT resign, and sign Cyrus Christie, Jordan Shipley and Tyler Walker.
Fleck didn’t cross over with Hyam and McFadzean. He was there at the same time as Waggott though.
With the new age profile approach I’d be keeping an eye out for Peter Ndlovu.

At what point did I allude to it being a Venkys exit stategy? the fuckers aint going anywhere, selling to cover losses so we aint hit with a points deduction is my take.
Selling to repay loans to the Bank of India is what you said

Fair enough. Keep the losses coming and only another 75 years or so before we owe more than Venkys are reportedly worth and we can be rid of them then. Only really have Szmodics left worth any real value and we don't invest in anything but Loans so no worry on unearthing another gem, I'll be long dead but at least I can sleep tonight knowing they wont be around in the year 2100 😁 Night All
Why pretend you were suggesting Wharton’s sale was some sort of Venky’s exit strategy? You’ve just pointed out the futility of that argument above. It’s ok to just admit you were misinformed.

No that's owed to the bank, that Venkys guarantee. You may not like it but that debt is on the club, sure it has been largely caused by Venkys but it's us as a club will suffer. Let's say the BoI call in the debt you do realise one of the Assets Venkys put up as a guarantee is the club itself, right? Do you think an Administrator would broker a £22m sale of a 19 year old, 2 Cap U20 international?

He’ll probably get a tune out of him as well. Can see him getting his first league goal at Ewood a week on Saturday.

Loans, loans and more loans , with most of Adams fee gobbled up to pay the bills. Add that to pending Raya money Phillip's money and any further sales, they are really leaving us to rot with zero ambition.
Completely agree Glen. It’s a bare faced lie as far as I’m concerned. Ewood is an ambition free zone and this scattergun approach of loan signings makes a mockery of any long term plans they talk about.

This is up there with the day we sold Duff. Or that game vs Bolton (14/01/06) when Jansen returned as an away player.
At least we got a good few years out of Duff, and at least he went on to a team that won trophies. That move seemed a lot more natural than this one, this is just sickening.

As much as Wharton going is sad, replacing him isn't the priority to me - other positions are higher priority.
You’ll change your mind by 10 past 3 on Saturday when our centre backs are passing straight to the opposition, or as Garrett/Moran/Ayari gets dispossessed turning away from our goal 30 yards out.

Pickering is out for four to five weeks and Brittain is out for about a month, so Chrisene is first choice atm. Makes sense with a cheap cover on loan if he doesn't trust Batty.
With all these centre backs I think we are going with a 3 man defence and abandoning fullbacks

Hope we get the first fax off in good time. We aren’t very good at contracts when there’s a buy out clause involved!

Loyalty bonus.
Rovers really are dumb
Any loyalty bonus would also have been significantly less 6 weeks ago before we gave him that improved deal.

Think it’s also worth mentioning that Sky, Talksport, The Mirror, Elliott Jackson, Andy Bayes, or Dave on Twitter can all announce that one manager is leaving and another is coming in as soon as they get wind of what is happening.
The club can’t announce a manager has left until the contract is actually terminated, which is often accompanied by negotiations, payments, agreeing to and signing of many other documents, etc.
