  1. honestly Alan I dont expect us to win anything the way were are currently playing. I was simply offering a comparison with what LC stated about LFC's varied and lack of width football and what they actually achieved a couple of years back !

    :sarc:

  2. has radio rovers ever had any credibility with that idiot in charge ? also has his scottish side kick ever said anything remotely resembling what had actually happened in the preceding match ?

Both are utterly useless as match summarisers and both are in the same amatuerish league of the commentator. its only the additional input of ex Rovers players that even make the after match comments worth listening too.

In fact why dont they just switch off and save the licence fee and the extra electricity and channel the residue back into a worthwhile venture that benefits the club :brfc:    :brfc:  :sarc:

  3. comon LC

just where did glenda's name come into the reckoning ? Why on earth would Rovers ever contemplate replacing GS with the son of god !

Okay George Graham is a class act but he is in the same mould as Souness, no better and definately no worse !

howie Wilkinson is in the same world as Glenda, he has NO chance of ever being offered the job even if we were ever relegated to the conference league !

We wont sack GS, he wont leave. He has too much know how and is the right manager for us. No airs and graces and certainly no shrinking violet :brfc:

  4. thats an insinuation on your behalf that is WRONG my fellow Blue and White. It was never meant to sound like that.

Blaming the loss of Dunn and Duff ? well in some quarters you may be right, you may also be wrong.

as for the other D - dizzy ? I could never agree with you on that. With a right atitude and on his good days he was half decent, unfortunately this young man has another thing on his mind when he picks up his monthly wage, its certainly not football

as for falling out ? well I dont know you on a personal basis, and by the sound of it you are a scot or exiled Englishman, so falling out is neither an option nor is it something I would have the time for as I am too busy at work, too busy with my blue and white hobby, too busy with the kids and the dog and then theres a Mrs Roverite to consider, this of course coming after my habit of beer tasting !  :brfc:

i dont fall out with anyone except her indoors :brfc:

  5. grf

at no time have I ever said tht a person is not entitled to an opinion.

my simple view is that why is is necessary for all and sundry to have a cheap shot at the club from afar ? I am more than well aware of the fact that not everyone is in a position to attend the game. I know this as I have spent many hours away from home whilst serving in the armed forces and watching from afar, I also know that it is a major hassle getting to midweek games in particular from Scotland etc. I have bben there and done it on many an occasion.

What tripes me is that people are always ready to shout drivel regarding the performance of a player, the team or whatever without really considering any alternative views.

i am extremely passionate about my team and will defend them as best I can like most Rovers fans, what I wont accept is fans shouting abuse, booing on the terraces when quite clearly the opposite is required.

as for some comments on here well the less said the better. Talk is cheap but to give encouragement is a lot easier than finding negative expletives that is IMO :brfc:

  6. rover 6

where are you coming from ?

everyone of those 3 have achieved absolutley NOTHING with their current clubs except a wee promotion and then a major struggle ensues.

NOT one of them is a suitable option should the unthinkable happen in respect of MR Souness.

Your opinion is noted but IMO its totally taboo. How do you come to the conclusion that someone like Iain Dowie could improve or manage the currnet Rovers squad ? How could Megson cope with the calibre of player we have when he cannot even manage to cope with average div 1 players ?

They are no better than considering turnip at dingleville could do the Ewood job and that is something that we should never even contemplate ! :brfc:

Please please please think about what it is your saying

  7. okay sam I have finally dragged myself up off the floor having read your simple views of Rovers recent successes.

i have just compared your fabulous teams performances against our and guess what ?

Your NOWHERE near us ! Surprised ? You ought NOT to be.

before you spout your drivel consider this.

The currrent division you sit in.

The current average crowd you get.

the current state of affairs in dingleville fc.

The fact that you havent got anywhere near us result wise since the year dot.

in fact just a reminder 5-0 and 2-0 ring a very loud bell :brfc:

our cup runs compared to yours ? well I cant even think of any type of run you have had, oh yes did you once make it to round 3 of the lower division sherpa van trophy or have I mixed you up with Scunthorpe ?

As for europe ? Well didnt you play in the Isle of Man recently ? I know you played a friendly at Accrington but really to slate your near neighbours like that without offering any sort of back up for your own team beggars belief but at the same time shows exactly the height of intelligence you have achieved.

Finally as for success. Well it is well known that dingleville fc have won hands down over the past two years the team that concedes the most goals in a particular away game, in fact was it not yourselves who set up that marvellous record of around 19 goals in three away games....... AGAINST !

so there you have it a nutshell sammy dear dingle, before you can slag us off get your own team on the same playing field as us and only then can you compare our two clubs.

But just in case your worried, dont be as in your life time it will never happen again at LEAGUE level

  8. well Paul you obviously have a seat nearby a set of morons then !

the idiots who booed near us in the Blackburn End were left in no doubt that if they didnt like what they saw and preferred to boo then they should leave and never come back

  9. a dichotomy ? Now thats rather posh !

Its not really meant to sound like that as I know Rovers have far afield fans who simply cannot make every game.

its aimed at fairweather partimers who live close by and do nothing that slag the club off from the comfort of their chairs. :brfc:

  10. oh yes and while we are on about it.

remember that football is about ups and downs, the going is not good every week, but being a supporter is not just about winning every game its about taking the rough with the smooth. Okay we have lost a few and the going is rough, its at times like these that the support is required the most.

Negative support is definately NOT REQUIRED :brfc:

  11. not meant to be offensive to anyone thats why the full words are edited !

It really grates on me that people who DID not or DO not attend the matches sit on their PC's and cream abuse at our club.

look at it from a real supporters perspective and you will see that ALL of us are part of that team.

get a grip and get to the ground to show your support :brfc:  :brfc:

  12. as Abbey would probably vouch in the 80's travelled all over with the lads in tranni vans racking up hundreds of miles visiting haunts like shrewsbury, wrexhm and the likes and enjoying every bloody trip, win lose or draw.

spectacular highlights of a long career following my beloved blue and whites involve the abandoned game at cambridge, falling off the bridge at shrewsbury into he muckiest river ever, being part of the rovers hordes who took the bee hole end at dingleville, sponsoring the matchball against shrewsbury at ewood and getting @#/? with alan ainscow.

in later years finishing my shift on my RN ship at 0800hrs whilst in Gibraltar, legging it to the airport with 8 pack, flying to london, few beers in covent garden then off to wembley for the full members cup final, winning then having to pay 38 quid to get back to the airport in a joe baxi before getting back to gibraltar 30 minutes before the start of a 18hr shift !

2nd leg of the play off final at palace was the same except i flew from cyprus and got seriously @#/? with a bottle of champagne that I had bought to celebrate promotion !

the day at Bristol when pne let us down badly. I dont think I had ever been reduced to tears before bu this was the first time !

All of the away games in our promotion season, every game of the play offs, the final versus Leicester is memorable for other reasons.

every Pl game bar 3 since we got there (due to weddings/holidays), the most memorable of these is whilst doing the video for my sisters wedding in cheshire. I was listening to the Rovers/spurs match whilst videoing the speeches with an ear piece in my radio, as Shearer scored the clinching 2nd goal all you can hear me over the speeches is shouting YESSSSSSS shearer 2-0, a memorable speech if anything more than complemented by me telling the 300 guests the score up at ewood !

the promotion clinching winat Preston whilst in their main stand, very helpful stewards kindly took us to the Rovers end at half time !

The worthy cup run, every game, every minute and every goal. The curry pies at cardiff washed down with about 20 pints. The night at the Spurs based hotel where we cleared the bar of every yid around !

and finally the sad passing of our great leader, being able to be there in Jersey on the day of his funeral was special and a day that will never be forgotten.

So I think I have earned mine :brfc:    :brfc:

  13. is anyone planning having a tet a tet with P Devlin to see if Duffer is going to return back home to the one true blue love of his life ?

If not you could always ask him for a drink or two on the house from his agents fee
