  1. the position that leeds find themselves in is pretty dire as we all know through the media reporting over the past 12 months.

Leeds have had to agree to release players at seriously low prices and offer to pay part of the players wages as they cannot afford to pay any loyalty bonuses, this is the reason why.

    for example

Mills is on 40k a week, he has 4 yrs of his contract to run with a hefty bonus to come at the end of his contract.

Leeds cannot afford to keep him never mind pay him.

Therefore Leeds will let him go for free, saving agents fees, bonus payments and at the same time agree to pay say a quarter of his wages for a period of time.

This is a much better option for them rather than laying out massive money all at once as the club would gain nothing financially.

There is a much bigger problem looming as some of the big earning players hold the ace card in that they do not have to move whilst Leeds have to honour the contract !

So its all in Leeds interest to cut their cloth accordingly.

To date its 3 players off for at least two thirds of their "true" value, there is more to come.

bargains to be had at Leeds rolleyes.gif

if next season we have a blinder and win the league then I wpould expect all of you doubters to line up in front of debenhams and show yr hairy arses to the Town !

we had a blip, lets see what happens in the close season before passing any furhter judgement.

Imagine it on the other hand

"Now then graham lad, that plonker Jim mk11 on the forum? well he has not had a good thing to say all season what should we do mate ?"

    "shoot him down NOW"

lets enjoy a break from the sadness that is last season, look forward to the Euro 2004 games and then its pre-season. tinykit.giftinykit.gif

  3. more rumours from the world of chelski

they have made an improved offer for Shevchenko even tho he has just signed a new 5 yr deal, the rumours within the club are suggesting 36 million smackeroonies !

10 players have already been told they will not play for the club again and will be made available for free transfers

to date the only confirmed departures are

    JFH

    desaiily

    melchiot

    Gronkyaer

    babayaro

    petit

    bogarde

Players that can go off on loan include

    Veron (already gone)

    Huth

    cole (already out)

    Gallas

three premierships clubs have already sounded out deals for petite and huth, of which Villa are one the others not yet known.

Chelsea have today sacked 10 back room staff including the youth management and head scouts. They expect to announce a full reorganisation within a month.

it is strongly thought that they have also agreed to pay ranieri 7 million for his contract and are in the process of paying up the bearded one to the tune of 9 million !

laugh my tits off when he fails !

There is no way chelsea can overtake Arsenal and Manure will surely be sore after this seasons diabolical efforts (by their own standards).

If JM thinks he can get away with cutting the current 46 man squad down to around 21 AND bring in his own players then he clearly has little idea how to approach this mammoth task.

Managing Porto was all well and fine and his achievements have to be admired.

managing cfc is a much bigger problem for him.

he has players with masive egos, players on massiv emoney, players who are clearly just there for the money and players who are there cause they want to be. Its a club with an owner who has a bigger ego than the playing staff and this is where the major problems will arise. JM has shown himself to be his own man. How will he cope with donkey kenyon and Abramovitch watching every step he takes ?

My view is that chelsea have bitten off far more than they can chew with their over purchasing last year.

Rumours in the London press suggest he will immediatley off load Veron,Desailley,Petit,Huth,Gallas, babayaro and a number of fringe players, whilst they will listen to offers for Mutu,JFH,Crespo and Gudjohnnson. Seems to me that there will be plenty on offer for buying or loaning as a lot of the above mentioned players are on five yr deals (except JFH).

RA has shown he may have the financial clout but he is missing a lot of common dog. as for the donkey Kenyon ? well he is a disgrace with the contempt he has shown for C Ranieri and the playing staff and fans of cfc.

Not too sure as to whether the media interviews of Terry and Lampard have been aired yet but both are sure to be edited as they come out in big support for CR ! tinykit.gif

personally I think that Ranieri could do a massive job at spurs.

If their sugar daddy come in as is being planned then he will be given ample money to purchase the right players for spurs.

Wouldnt it be then just what does that mean? marvellous f they finished above cfc at the end of the season.

Ps Old big gob Bates was absolutley right to demand the compo be paid straight away, I just hope he gets his own compo in as quick a time !

  6. update from the mad world of chelsea

lampard has not been offered a new deal

bates has rejected a 5.8 million pay off

cfc have had a reported bid of around 17 million for drogba rejected

mourinho has made it clear that if he is to take the chelsea job he wants his own backroom staff which total 10 staff !

Ranieri is wanted by Romas but he wont budge until cfc sack him.

oh to be a chelsea fan rolleyes.gif

  7. apologies for those who I am about to upset.

If any of you think that Douglas has any ounce of the ability that Tugay possesses then you know absolutley FUFF all about Football.

said it and I mean it.

We must keep Tugay unless we have a rady made replacement and IMo there are not too many players that can produce the balls that he can.

More importantly Tugay would be an asset alongside Fergie who will surely control the midfield allowing Tugay a little more freedom.

forget Douglas and let him go NOW

  8. has anyone considered the ferry ? quite cheap and a lot easier than most think !

    Also waggy

today at work two lads rang for the england swiss game and were unsuccessful as the tickets were on "hold". The female operator couldnt really explain why or what it really meant but they were told to ring on monday.

So there are still tickets available tinykit.gif

cant see Rovers letting him go UNLESS Cole himself asks.

AC is a very reserved and private person, we have never seen him hogging the limelight of the media, we have always seen him as a dull and drab player media wise.

Okay his attitude may not be exactly right, he does sulk but who doesn't ?

Andy Cole is good for Rovers, I totally agree that with a more consistent Emerton and a good left sided midfielder we would see a vastly improved goal ration from our strikers.

But at the end of the day its the DEFENCE that needs sorting I mean we CAN score goals, actually lots of them tinykit.gif
