  1. well Chris

I never once said it was not a good move nor have a dissed anyones suggestion that ferguson will not make a good captain.

look on the thread regarding fergies comeback and YOU will read that yesterday I suggested it was great for our captain in waiting to be back to full fitness.

using the manure is simply an example. Liabilities do not provide the effort that Flitty has provided during his time at Rovers.

I agree wholeheartedly that a players shelf life comes to its natural end and that a younger player has to make his mark.

the point I was making is that he had to be respected not slated for 8 yrs of graft.

oh by the way almost forgot

    FRANCE ARE OUT !! rolleyes.gif

    tooting

the only reason I am opting for the Portuguese is NOT because they beat us, its simpler than that.

    I hate the French

I hate the Dutch (not people just the fact that they have a cheat in vannistlediver)

The czechs are lovely people and have a great team but on this occasion I dont fancy them.

the danes and the swedes, well they too are great people especially liked by italians, but not good enough to win for me this time.

I have never once said anything about "that" goal as I am still seriously gutted ! thumbs-up.gif

  3. Yes our gary has been a liability over recent years hasn't he ?

I mean a player of such ilk scores winners against the then champions to win the game, he fights for every ball, he may not be classy but he works damned hard and puts his head in where the boots are.

yes our Gary is a liability tinykit.gifmad.gif

    pure @#/? comments again tinykit.gif

8yrs at the club no less, so he has loyalty, let the fans give him a vote of thanks rather than disrespect him.

  4. supporting your club is on an individual basis.

Supporting England is a national thing, there are over 56 million in the UK of which the overall majority are English.

    tinykit.giftinykit.gif

in any case its great to see the women, kids and the family bursting with pride in their English attire.

Last nite my 11yr daughter had a full England kit on, face painted and wrapped in a huge St George flag, it just fills you with patriotic pride rolleyes.gif

  5. well you Portuguese supporters

    you surely deserved that victory

now my patriotic spectacles are off and my head is totally alcohol free I have had time to reflect on last nites topsy turvey action.

Cant blame the ref although he was wrong.

Portugal played the much better football.

England looked terribly tired after they scored after 3 minutes !

The English fans were great and after all the hype about hooliganism in the country it just showed that last night we do have GREAT supporters although the country has its fair share of knobheads.

Cant blame any of the players who missed a penalty as it takes real ###### to get up there and have a go.

Cant have a go at any of the Portuguese players even though cloonaldo fall over just like vannistlediver of manure - his TEAMMATE no less.

Filling my face with my slcie of humble pie didnt taste too good with 9 pints off 4x !

    FINALLY

SGE needs to take a long hard look at himself. If he seriously thinks that Phillipa Neville is an England player then we must get rid now. Playing him in an England game in a major trophy just means one thing - ELIMINATION.

    Rant over

Hope the Portuguese now go onto win the competition. You deserve it. tinykit.gif

  6. chelskis bid for Gerrard will be made official

the morning after Englands departure from the euro championships

the tabloid speculation around a swap with duff/parker + cash is way off the mark.

for those who used to use the same pub as "our" duffer, he is back up next week presenting medals to 2 young lads who have just made it into the Irish youth squads from the Leyland and Chorley area !

i am sure he will be having a few back at home then !! smile.gif

  7. dry.gif

    Couto on the bench ?

he may be the only defender that can do a one on one marking job on Rooney, the other defenders IMo do not have the experience to cope with a dedicated 1 on 1/man to man marking.

Portugal will play one up front and that is likely to be nunes, Pauletta is out suspended so for them to make surefire progress it means figo having to do a lot of work up the middle and down the flanks as well as helping out the defence.

i honestly think that figo will be the weakest link and it will be payback for 2000 ohmy.gif

  8. to the portugal fans on here

Yes You have had a good team, you have a decent manager but your observations on how England might perform are misjudged.

We have not played the best football yet, we are improving and on a steady roll.

Portugal have no defender to cope with the power and pace of Rooney, not even Couto can cope with him. I forsee dirty tactics employed as really the only threat I see is ruud van nistlenoses diing partner cloonaldo.

England will have done the homework and will be fully prepared.

I expect total revenge for euro 2000 when the Portuguese ruined my first week in Corfu !

    2-0 England it is rolleyes.gif
