  1. I think managers in general become extremely attached to their jobs and do become supporters. I think it would take a lot for Souey to leave, and I'm not even really sure what that would have to be, but it certainly wouldnt be some increased monetary sum. Quite frankly I'm not surprised if this crop of players doesn't really want to "die for" and work their socks of for this team, because it seems like there's a large crop of supporters who don't want to do the opposite for the players. To me at least this is a two way system, we have to show our support for the club and the players, of course not blindly, but not cynically. If you see it another way though then that is up to you. :brfc:
  2. I don't think Souey can do no wrong, but I'm not going to turn my back on a man who has revived our club just because we are 6 or 7 positions (and only 6 to 9 points) off of where we would like to be half way through the season.
  3. Waggy...I have regularly agreed with many of your posts and ideas, but the very thought of replacing Souness with anyone, especially Mark Hughes, is idiotic at this present moment. True we aren't winning every match, but in recent weeks we have won the majority and are slowly climbing the table, and if we continue to pick up points (espeically if we win 3 or 4 of our next few matches) then we will climb into the top half and be looking at a season that still has plenty of potential. The very fact that you said "if we lose to leicester we are doomed" shows that the pessimistic point of view isn't proving to be true at the moment is it?
  4. Everyone...and I mean EVERYONE...should listen to Dispatch. They have broken up now...but great stuff. Small band from CT...been listening to their stuff for a couple years and I can still listen to it for an entire day (look for the song "The General")
  5. The Roots-Phrenology is a great album. Also as I saw in Paris a couple of weeks back they are great live.

Stereophonics-I've been a big fan for a few years, and despite many good reviews I was extremely dissapointed by "J.E.E.P", and so was reluctent to buy "You Gotta Go There To Come Back", especially as I'd heard some bad things. It's certainly not their best album, it's a different sound, but worth a listen and worth the buy if you are looking for a summer cd and out of ideas as I have found out.

  6. I have to say Dispatch have to be one of the best bands around at the moment, and are featuring mostly on my cd players. I'm not sure how big they are in England, but they have a reasonable following in the States and really produce some good music. Though their cd's could be hard to come by. Everyone should have a listen though.
  7. HMMM...I seem to know the Star Spangled Banner quite well considering I do hear it everyday...but besides the fact that it didnt fit to the tune...it was good
  8. Does anyone have any good Rovers songs? If so say what they are! We are really lacking some good ones. Even if they are songs that we sing already that you think that we should sing more...or even just keep singing. Write down the lyrics and we can attempt to flood out the scottish .
  9. The question has to be do we go back to our "best 11" or do we keep players like Egil playing because he has had a good game. For me Matty has to play! He is quality. If Duff can play at least 70-75 minutes then he should play. Though I would leave Cole on the bench and keep Yorkie up front. Other than that we should remain unchanged...unless there are injuries...Blackburn Rovers 4-2 Glasgow Celtic...(home leg Blackburn Rovers 3-1 Glasgow Celtic)
